FAQ:
1. My device rebooted or crashed, how can I help?
A: Get me /proc/last_kmsg or logcat.
2. Battery sucks, my device is not entering deep sleep. FIX PLOX!
A: Fix it yourself, it's an app waking your device up not the kernel's problem. Also make sure you let your device settle for at least 2 charging cycles. Typically apps like Facebook and Google Maps can cause problems since they wake it up pretty much all the time
3. Signal is dropping since I flashed the kernel, amg u sucks!
A: The kernel has nothing to do with gsm/cmda signal.
4. Do I need to wipe anything when flashing this kernel?
A: Just wipe cache and Dalvik cache after flashing.
5. Does this kernel has X or Y mod?
A: Learn to read, everything you need to know is in the features list, changelog or public repo.
6. Don't use 3rd party init.d scripts!!!
7. After the device boots, the phone runs at 1.35Ghz. So make sure you set it to whatever frequency you want.
8. For Daily use and best battery life, Recommended Settings are 1Ghz Max, 600Mhz Min, Conservative Governer and CFQ/SIO IO Scheduler.

great work buddy...! I have a suggestion that u should creat different OPP for different frequencies. It will br very easy for a normal user to change frequencies through different opp.

It seems very good!!! I will be testing for some days and if battery drain is good, will add to my rom! Thank you!!

Yes I'll be doing that.. maybe in the coming builds..

Adi_Pat, with the phone disconnected to the computer it says USB Connected and appears the screen of mass storage with the option of activate mass storage.

can you make it also compatible in AOSP rom?

As I thought its not booting on my phone. Because from my experience I learned that my phone support only 1.2 ghz max. Above that phone stuck at boot screen. Can u give me test kernel with only 1.2ghx max opp????

I am going to test it right now. Would u mind, if it is powersaver enough, if I add it to my ROM (CleanKpuRom) ?

Your device will boot now, download and flash the kernel.
Your device did not boot becuase I set startup freq to 1.35Ghz so the phone didnt have enough power to turn on.
Now you test the new uploaded kernel, it will boot and you should be fine.

I dont know wheather u have repaired the universal titanium kernel or not but on my xxkpq its not booting. I always happens whenever I use a kernel which is overclocked to 1.35 ghz. But whenever I use UC v9 1009 version kernel which is overclocked to 1.2 ghz only then my phone always boot successfully. Its something related to overclocking above 1.2ghz which my phone is not accepting.

"Launcher is'nt responding" with black screen. Again Using the fone after rebooting.
What's the actual problem, getting rid of this prob...?

it would be helpful, if you had stated your current rom, and the modifications in it.
If you are on stock, then i think that it is probably a bad flash, solution, would be to reflash the rom again.....but clean the dalvik and /system and /boot from recovery, before flashing......just to be safe.

Hi,
Facing lot of probs with the lags in my stock rom...tired with this. Please suggest me @ankitaggarwal001 the best rom for Micromax A110..ensuring no probs with music player, camera, battery performance,etc. Don't mind if I'm expecting more

For my use, i found Grand V3 to be best, Suvi V15 is a close second for me, and MIUI and lewa os roms are just for fun/ if you dont use any heavy aps/games (both these are good looking functional roms.)
So depending on your preference, you can go about installing the roms.
Note: My original phone was replaced under warranty by mmx with one which had Jb out of the box, and so because of the rear cam issue i haven't used the 4.2 roms yet, so cant guide you on that.

@todopertin you are wrong bro, there are many stable n bugs free roms available for micromax a110...
@nitesh kanna search n download as per ur requirement...or u may downlaod as per suggestion by ankitaggarwal001..
i'm using ultimate galaxy v3 rom by thunder_droid... u just need search rom for ur suits like gaming or style or etc...

Hi,
You guys are really confusing me with multiple options. I usually dont play too heavy games on my android as sometimes even Subway Surfers gets stopped automatically. My basic priority is the performance with all basic apps like Music Player, Camera(as said rear cam issue), Battery StandBy Time, etc. functioning properly and with no lags. When i gone through the Grand V3 or CanvaS4 custom ROM's, these are the basic problems i have seen. So @sdkzone @todopertin can you please suggest me with the above mentioned requirements.

@sdkzone a big thanks for your advice.. Got CanGalaxyS4 by @akashrt . It is brilliant with minor flaws. Though minor flawsI would like to share with you guys. Touchwiz is not upto r expectations. When we try to open a app, it is taking time to open up. Camera is not upto expectation. Waiting for an upgraded version from you @akashrt . But many thanks for you anyway.

I am currently on CanGalaxyS4 ROM by akashrt , Gone through ultimate galaxy v3 ROM by thunder_droid as you @sdkzone mentioned. Interesting it is. Responsiveness is definitely not good in CanGalaxyS4. Hope that is fine with yours. FYI I am on JB 4.1.x, so it seems i have to upgrade to a new kernel to flash the ultimate galaxy v3 ROM. Have you done the same ? , If so..how is it? Can you suggest me a good kernel please. Are you guys sure there is no hardware damage during these upgrades ?

we are currently using kernel ver 3.4.78-xtreme-leap & there is no hardware damage during these upgrades...if u have a prob in CanGalaxyS4 rom? like lags, flawless please try any performance script like suvi booster by bsuhas or pureperformance X byrishabh bagrecha both links are mension below

try a secondary cam from play store or 4.4 cam app from xda threads please search for ur expectations.

Are these scripts capable of setting "auto-frequency" or simply the manual ones which they encripted to it ? I could not see the "auto-frequency" in my SetCPU app. Do you have any idea about SetCPU working in your kernel 3.4.78 ?

no bro, u donot need to delete any init.d files for kernel...just flash it....or if u need to delete just go to root directory -> then goto etc folder..there was init.d folder exist.

Thats easy now. There is an option asking for "Keeping all existing init.d scripts?" Should i go with NO in it ?
Also can i uninstall the SetCPU and SuperUser app which are pre-installed in the ROM after going with this ?

yes u should go with no...m ye u can uninstall the SetCPU bt please do not uninstall su app if u don't need su any more just unroot ur phone or if u need to change su app goto su app -> settings -> change su app from play store.

if u r asking for direct inject check it via terminal emulator app -> type "free -m"(without quotes) -> hit enter

Hey, In Emulator, showing : total 473, used 470 and free 2.......Swap is all 0.
Installed CPU Tuner app also. How to use it ? I mean i could not set any frequencies here also...pls help..

[tips and tricks] performance and battery life for android kitkat 4.4.2

As we know we have android kitkat which is one of the best os version for our phone.
by following twicks and trick this we can make it more fluent and responsive i think it will be more helpfull those facing perormance and battery problem
1) ART (ANDROID RUN TIME):
THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST EFFECTIVE WAY TO boost u r phone performance
for me my quadrant score is 3500 with art
>no lag(0 lag)
>faster opening of apps
>more touch response
drawbacks :
>as we change runtime to dalvik to art some apps may crash or may not work specifically Google gapps
solution :
there not complete solution but i go this way all is well till now

note: art is not compatible to xposed framework so u have to uninstall xposed
2) unistall xposed :
when you go for customization u prefer xposed framework i had done same thing but when I unistalled all xposed apps and framework phone was super smooth
3) use greenify
this is root app which hibernate all installed apps except system apps so when there is no use of app it gets hibernated so no baground runup of apps so no ram compsution and no battery drain
u will get it on playstore
4) debolting of rom:
debolting of rom will space freeup all u r system and make it faster
remove only application that are safe to remove list is as below

5) overclock u r Rom with battery efficient kernel:
As our great developer made cpu gpu oc/uv kernels we can use them for overclocking of rom which definaltely boost performance
this is oc kernel for resurrection remix 4.4 rom kernel but it may work on all roms as i personally used it for cm11 maclaw, beanstalk 4.4 roms except aicp rom by vikasayu where i got boot loop

remember oc is not working on all phone
to tweak cpu speed u can use these apps

go to app and set max cpu 1250 and min 200

to tweak gpu u can use this app just flash it via cwm recovary

so u r gpu will work at full speed

6) system tweaks
in cynogenmod there are number of tweaks
1) go to system >performance >enable purging of assets
2)go to system >performance >enable kernel same page merging
3) go to system >development >enable 2d drawing
7) AVOID:
1) don't use any ram booster app
2) don't use any system cleaner
3) don't use any app killer
because u r kitkat don't need this any more
BATTERY TWEAKS:
battery is major problem of cynogenmod 11 (kitkat) it's default thing because these roms are meant for performance so its affect battery than stock roms
but we can reduce heavy battery drainage nd u r phone will withstand 18-20hr
1) odex u r rom
as all stock rom are odexed so they gives performance battery life with less customization
but u can odex ur deodexed cm 11 rom by this script

type su>enter>type odex sysapp(odex system app) or frame (odex framework) or all (odex both)
2) use greenify
3) change u r runtime to art
4)debolt u rom
5) go to system>performance >set processor abyssplug max freq:800 min freq: 200 and io schelduler to sio
i personally uses oc kernek with max 1150 min 200/ ondemand/ sioplus but i undervolted the rom
6) undervolt u r rom:
if u r using oc/uv kernel then by using novathorseetinga app u can undervolt kernel and save u r battery
go to novathor settings app > go to cpu> go to cpu voltages and set cpu undervolt as per wish but i personally uses
-25 mv
note: very high undervolting or overvolting may reboots u r phone
7) deep sleep state:
deep sleep state of phone is that when u r phone is in standby mode u.e u r not using it screen is off it goes to sleep but some process are working which cause battery drain u can change that setting
>go to novathor setting app > go to power> set deep sleep to 4
OR
USE galaxy s advance setting app> go to deep sleep stateand set it at 4
at 4 u r phone goes to high deep sleep state so no more battery drain in sleep
note: dont go for deep sleep state 5 phone may be unresponsive u have to reboot it
8) screen filter:
>this is a app on play store which deems brightness of screen backlight which helps us to protects our eyes and again on amoled screen reduces battery drain too
> personally used and voila very effective
> u can easily control filter in status bar as it has stausbar notificaton when u are outdoor just increse its percentage and when u are indoore just reduceit manually as per u r wish where u got best result

@ortek donation version of greenify is related to xposed framework to hibernate system apps but there is no need to hibernate system apps because some process must be runed by Android os as they are necessary

this is root app which hibernate all installed apps except system apps so when there is no use of app it gets hibernated so no baground runup of apps so no ram compsution and no battery drain

4) debolting of rom:
debolting of rom will space freeup all u r system and make it faster
remove only application that are safe to remove list is as below

5) overclock u r Rom with battery efficient kernel:
As our great developer made cpu gpu oc/uv kernels we can use them for overclocking of rom which definaltely boost performance
this is oc kernel for resurrection remix 4.4 rom kernel but it may work on all roms as i personally used it for cm11 maclaw, beanstalk 4.4 roms except aicp rom by vikasayu where i got boot loop

to tweak cpu speed u can use these apps

in cynogenmod there are number of tweaks
1) go to system >performance >enable purging of assets
2)go to system >performance >enable kernel same page merging
3) go to system >development >enable 2d drawing
7) AVOID:
1) don't use any ram booster app
2) don't use any system cleaner
3) don't use any app killer
because u r kitkat don't need this any more
BATTERY TWEAKS:
battery is major problem of cynogenmod 11 (kitkat) it's default thing because these roms are meant for performance so its affect battery than stock roms
but we can reduce heavy battery drainage nd u r phone will withstand 18-20hr
1) odex u r rom
as all stock rom are odexed so they gives performance battery life with less customization
but u can odex ur deodexed cm 11 rom by this script

But keep nandroid backup if any thing goes wrong
I think given kernel link it's kernel of letest pa 4.4 rom its built with gcc 4.7 any fast and smooth no lag anymore.
Again if u want to try then use boot img of liquid smooth 3.2 its gcc 4.9 sabermod fast and smooth but i felt some reboots works great with Abysplug governor

[solution]To solve the hanging and heating problem on Note 4g

First things u need (do it with your own risk i does not responsible for any damages)
Need to disable thermal config first. Refer here

Does this fix work for stock MIUI 6 kernel??

Awesome! I can't believe no one comments on this. This fixed my issue with miui7(completely stock btw) that for some reason didn't use lower frequencies than 960mhz. Just used no frills cpu control and was able to fix the lower frequency at 200mhz and changed governor! Checked with cpu spy and saw its now using the lower frequencies. Thanks a lot

@Kiran Anto does your RazorReborn kernel also need this patch? or were you able to incorporate this into it? Btw thanks for the good work!!
