Xperia XA F3111 Not turning ON.... - Sony Xperia XA Questions & Answers

Hey all.
hope you will all be fine.
I bought a used xperia xa f3111 two weeks ago,
it was okay since friday night but it was gone to sleep in same night.
I dont know what happened. its not turning ON.
usualy it stucks on sony logo and sometimes it stucks at xperia animation.
flash mode and fastboot mode is detected by the pc.
I have tried alot of tutorials. first i tried xperia companion. when tried to repair software it says NO UPDATE FOUND FOR YOUR DEVICE Bla bla.... (screenshot attached).
Then I tried Emma. it says a locked device detected with imei number 00000000000000. (screenshot attached). dont have original IMEI because it was a used device.
then I tried flashtool to unlock bootloader and to flash ftf file. got unlock key for null imei which is 758E6C504FB2D439. tried to unlock bootloader with the key but it was failed. logs are attached in form of screenshot.
Please help me out what to do ......
thnx in advance and sorry for my bad english..

Your device is a prototype and will not boot retail firmwares. To have it working you have to unpack boot img and edit default.prop to add/modify "ro.build.type=eng". Use my released boot to do it or you will have to build the kernel and remove dm-verity yourself. You need an unlocked bootloader but prototypes should have it "out of the box". The bad thing with that kind of devices is that they are collecting data to Sony so be careful if you use it for daily.

First of all you must be sure that your bootloader is unlocked, you can check by doing this: put the phone in fastboot mode and try to enter the command "fastboot oem unlock" without quotes. It must return an error with (not necessary) at the end. If the bootloader is locked you can find the original IMEI by removing microSD and SIM tray then pull the small strip in the slot, the IMEI is written on it.

You mean to say that imei number should be written on sim tray?
I removed it but it was completely blank....
and also checked for a hidden plastic strip inside the sim slot and memory card slot as well... but found nothing.
Any other way to find????

[Q] Fastboot Problem on Xperia J

Hey guys,so apparently I tried to unlock my bootloader but I'm stuck at step 13 in the Sony Xperia unlock bootloader tutorial. (Can't post the link)
When I first tried to get into fastboot,my computer gave me a notification telling me the device driver was not successfully installed. But at the same time, the notification light on my Xperia J is blue. Tried a few more times but only the notification light was blue,no other prompts from the computer. Another thing is that I can't find the "Android Boot loader Interface-file". Anybody who could help fix this?>< Thanks! (I rooted my phone before this though >< Sorry if I'm asking stupid question or anything,it's my first time rooting and unlocking a phone :/)

I had the same problem but now my BL is unlocked here are the fastboot drivers please consider hitting the thanks button
- In your unlock code, if there are capital letters use shift button and not caps lock that was the cause of the numerous failures before I realized my mistake
- Make sure you copy the exact code copy pasting the code won't work
- Turn off PC companion ( it interferes with the batch file )
- Hold shift and right click the folder to and select Open Command Window here
Don't blame me if your device gets bricked you will also lose DRM keys and Void your warranty
extract the rar file and enjoy ( you still need the USB Driver folder and that android_winusb thingie )

Hello everyone i need help with a phone of a friend. She gave it to me yesterday cause she has locked it. Sim is locked and now phone is locked needs pin to unlock which of course she doesnt remember either.
When she first told me about this i thought ok it would be easy to do a factory wipe but unfortunately poor me it was a sony phone lol
So no root, no usb debugging only fast boot, no unknown sources and locked bootloader too. Phone turns on normally. What can i do? I have flashtool drivers and usb too. I have tried multitool number 8 which is wipe didnt do anything.
Please help... dont care to loose data and willing to flash anything. I ama little experienced with flashing as i personally have a galaxy s2 and a oneplus one but still not an advanced user at all only basic stuff as simple recovery flashing and custom roms. She didnt even know what recovery is so im her last hope.
Thanks in advance!

There's any hope for hard bricked Moto G3? (no fastboot, Qdloader 9008)

Hi guys its the 3rd time that i post here in the forum hopping to restore my "dead" Moto G3 XT1543 1GB RAM Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916).
Some days ago I've unlock my phone bootloader in order to install CM14.1 and i did it with success! but my sim card wasn't working, so, I tried to look for a solution. And I found a video on youtube that showed the supost fix for this issue, but i was wrong. I've flashed the file which broke my phone immediately and now my phone doesn't do ANYTHING!! Well, at least it shows on my computer as QDLoader 9008 but for now on I dont know what I have to do! I know that the easiest way to fix it is buying another motherboard, but I think that still hope for someone to find the way to fix it! Well, if the pc recognizes the processor so there's something to be done right?
I had searched all over the internet during this week, and I found some interesting possible ways to fix it, but im not a developer so I need help and opinions from other people.
1)The first way was to change the mode to 9006 aka diag mode though some files wich in theory allows you to acces eMMC partition and restore all the 29 inside partition and recover your phone. The problem is: I don't know how to change it to diag mode, but yea i have the needed files, and i don't have the tool to acces the eMMC of the phone and i dont have a backup of the partitions to write over the corrupted ones.
2)The second way was to use this tutorial *http://www.droidsavvy.com/unbrick-qualcomm-mobiles/* that i still havent tried since my phone isn't with me right now. So, in this supose way we can contact the phone through a tool called QFIL and try to "Inject" the bootloader or whatever, in the phone to foce him into a bootloop and so enabling the fastboot mode which allows you to install a rom later on. well the problem for this one is, i dont know if it works on your moto g3 but i gonna try. (if you try this option tell me and i gonna upload the needed files because the folder avaliable in the link contais files for the processor Snapdragon 610 and Moto G3 processor is a 410)
3) The third way is a Jtag repair in a authorized store, but i dont think Moto G3 have a jtag fix (im posting this possibility because i could be wrong)
4) In this way could be a updated Blank Flash actually used to hard unbrick the Moto G1 and I Guess the G2? But im not a developer and I dont know too much about programing, but i'm sure someone out there is a pro
5) Use the QPST which is kinda the same thing as use a eMMC tool? ( again im not a dev ) and from what i got, is used to config all your phone from scratch. would be good if there's a tuto out there
6) Sit and wait till Motorola release the MBM-CI 5.0 which from what i got is used like the Blank Flash or used to make a Blank Flash idk
AGAIN!!! IM NOT A DEV, THIS IS JUST SOME WAYS THAT I FOUND OUT THERE ON THE INTERNET WHICH COULD BE USED TO FIX YOUR BELOVED MOTO G3!! SO, I'M SHARING ALL MY RESEACH WITH YOU GUYS BECAUSE IS A SHAME HAVE TO DUMP MY DEVICE LIKE THAT OR HAVE TO EXPEND LIKE R$ 500 IN A NEW MOTHER BOARD WHICH IN DOLLAR ITS LIKE 1600 U$D (this is Brazil guys yea it's a horrible country T_T ) SO I HOPE THAT THIS POST HELPS SOMEBODY AND IF YOU GOT SOME INFO SHARE TO HELP US TRY TO FIX THE PHONE!

You'll need blankflash for this device, that's the only thing which will take it back to bootloader mode so you can flash a firmware. Blankflash is usually found in stock firmwares, however the chances are kinda low

Sorry to bump needlessly but has there been any progress in this regard?
Has anyone found a solution or blankflash files?
I managed to hardbrick my device while trying to resize the system and userdata partitions (stupid, I know)

No... And just like previous Moto devices, it is unlikely we will ever get the necessary files.
Same situation, any updates?
I'm currently facing the same situation with XT1543, it ran Marshmallow 6.0 stock (came with Lollipop) and suddenly it hard bricked (last time i checked there were no software updates and even if there were, the phone would not restart itself to update). I ran blankflash but the results were these:
greeting device for command mode
opening device: \\.\COM3
OKAY [ 0.001s]
greeting device for command mode
FAILED (blank-flash:greet-device:error reading packet)

If you can't get to the bootloader, it's toast... we do not have the proper files to do a Qload reflash, and the chances of getting them are near zero.
Try the usual... drain the battery and hold Power+Vol Dn (normal method to access bootloader) or press and hold Power+Vol Dn for 15-30 seconds, if you can't get to the bootloader there is NO recovery method available. Sorry.

+1 on this.
The only other thing I would do is take it apart and detach one wire from battery and short that lose wire to the other wire (short the phone, NOT the battery!) for 15 sec or so and reconnect wire to battery and put phone back together and try boot to bootloader (power plus vol-dn). If no go, at that point if it were worth it I would give it to ATT to fix, or toss it in the drawer for parts.

If there is no bootloader and the only thing that can be seen on the computer is QdLoader mode, it's done... Send it to Moto for repair or send it to the recycler, there is no fix we can do.

HELP unlock Bootloader failed remote.

Hello to all guys, i have a mate 7 gold rebuilt, then, this happens
I tried the huawei site to do the unlocking procedure, I compile everything, but I do not accept imei, always tell me to put imei valid, it's a dual sim, i put 2 but nothing .... in fastboot mode, my phone From the phone unlocked, it seems that the bootloader has already been unlocked at this point, but if I try to drop a command, I have always FAILED REMOTE COMMAND, as if it was blocked.
I tried to make a check, and I was unlocked, so the bbotloader seems to be unlocked.
Now the phone is brilliant, does not go into recovery, what can i do in rescue mode does not restore it ..... thanks for the attention.

Is your FRP unlocked?
You can check by booting to fastboot mode.
Download minimal adb & fastboot installer. Install.
Put phone in fastboot mode by plugging in USB to computer and then start using power + vol down.
If it says FRP unlock its pretty easy to fix.
If not you could try factory reset from recovery, then back to fastboot mode and check if FRP is gone.
Check this and reply back.

If it just says that, and not FRP locked, you can use this guide to rebrand and/or get a working firmware.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-9/how-to/guide-mate-9-flash-update-package-t3593108
I realise it's the same hwota as OP posted but it's explained a little more in the release thread.

Thank you
Hi
Please can you tell to me why when HWOTA wait my phone in TWRP mode do not detect my phone ? Thank you
Please help
My mate 9 had a security patch dated in April last year. I was trying to update it to a recent patch. I tried a couple OTA passages on FF, but none of them could finish and left me with a starting screen saying your phone failed for verification. So I tried a full OTA package ( don't remember the number more, but it's a package dated Jan 7th I think) that passed the access test in FF.
The whole process finished and screen showed update successful. But all of a sudden, instead of normal restart, the phone started a downgrade process and tried to install B567 back to my phone. Then it kept going to erecovery, but always showed recovery failed after downloading a package from server and trying to install it.
I don't want to void any warranty, only trying to reset it back to original state. Please help.

Hello friends,
first of all thanks to everyone who supported me to fix my phone.( took me nearly 2 days)
this thread is for the people who bricked their phone while re-branding etcetra and to recover it in easy steps.
First make a note of your IMEI, Product ID, Sno. before proceeding.
1. Download hwota.zip from the link provided.( consist of all oeminfo needed )
https://drive.google.com/open?id=10fNOKja7MD0MOtlPVQH5S9kQ2czdn9dC
2.Unzip to your local c: drive
3.Now download stock firmware of your model or rebranded model number from this website https://www.gizrom.com/huawei-mate-9-stock-rom/
4.after downloading place the files in UNZIPPED FOLDER of HWOTA.ZIP in UPDATE FOLDER.
5.Rename the file as following " update.zip " , " update_all_hw.zip " , update_data_public.zip" . very imp plz.
6.Now open "update.bat"
7.Follow the instructions. You will need your device unlocking code in order to unlock bootloader and install twrp. SO MAKE A NOTE OF YOUR UNLOCK CODE AND SAVE IT.
8.For those your are having trouble finding SNo. and Product id can check from this website or can use HUAWEI PRODUCT ID Generator.
https://imei24.com/warranty_info/Huawei/861956030103197/
9.Now, after following instructions your device will reboot and start factory reset, if it fails then don't worry just hold "power + Vol up " to boot into recovery wipe partition then wipe data (factory reset ) then reboot.
DONE!
10.For those who are having trouble with MEID showing 000000000 don't worry its just for MHA-L09(single sim) showing it as dual sim....but sim works absolutely perfect.
11.For those who want to install oreo they follow same above HWOTA procedure, download official oreo from
https://romprovider.com/2017/11/update-emui-8-0-huawei-mate-9/
That's it!!!!!
If you have any problem installing firmware, feel free to post in this thread, il try to reply asap..:good::good:
GOOD LUCK.

Hi
Have you check the oem info which you had flashed using HWOTA?
Flash the correct oem info for your device and follow instructions in case if it failed again post screenshot of the error.

Hi
Apology for late reply, if you got the unlock code try unlocking bootloader using hwota, and continue the process
BUT before proceeding make sure you noted correct unlock code, double check your imei, sno etc if something missing in your unlock code.

Hi,
If it is giving incorrect unlock code then confirm your imei, product id, serial number, get the unlock code from huawei developer page and save it as notepad and try again with hwota....check imei on product box , for some reason after rebranding device gives you some different imei.

the code is not incorrect and HWOTA doesnt say its incorrect it gets failed to write which is normal for every phone if they dont have it oem unlock enabled from developer options unless there is any other way around
needing file location clarification

* I have downloaded ant unzipped HWOTA on pc desktop
* I have downloaded the 3 additional zip files as well.
Do these files go directly into the unzipped HWOTA folder? (you mention UPDATE folder?)
* Do these 3 files stay zipped?
* It doesn't seem to allow me to change the file names
* where is the "update.bat" file to open?
Thank you so very much
