I'm mrx3net's brother who gave free unlock codes to many members here.
I have a very sad news to all , my brother is on the hospital from sunday morning because he is now a victime of THE SWIN FLU don't know how he got it but it's a real disaster to our family, his wife and his little son.
Doctors said ; there is no way to keep him alive just to pray if GOD want to send a miracle .
I ask every one here in this great community to pray for him to get well ( I hope so ).
he had few financial problems before and i come from Israel for this to solve it we had 3 houses here in Casablanca/Morocco and we wanted to sell all and this the only way to solve all his problem and back to Israel and live a normal life like all the family...
I started this thread just because i checked his email and see lots of people ask for codes to unlock mobiles and usb modems , we were working together on this when we was at the university but he left me and come to Morocco to start his own project, everythings went will tell this year.
i Will not talk like he is dead but it's really bad to know that my very close brother to my heart fighting the death alone and doctors can't do anything.!!!

Any news about your brothers status?
I hope your brother will recover soon. I assume you have discussed with the doctors the possibility of hooking him up to an ECMO machine if things start to look bad. It's not for everyone, but it saves lives. I don't know if there is an ECMO machine near where he is. But it is something to discuss and keep in mind.

I mean no offense at all, but swine flu isnt deadly, unless your brother had pre existing health problems (aids, cancer, weakened immune system etc..).
Swine flu is just a normal flu. Only very young child or elderly people could be harmed by it.
I dont mean to offend anyone, but i m just curious about this story.

For the vast majority of cases - yes, you are right. However, there are documented cases of people who were young, totally healthy with no previous history of illness, and yet they died from the swine flu. In other cases (many cases), it is so mild, that it goes unnoticed.
So, chances are very high that - if you get it - you'll be fine. A challenging aspect is that up until now there is no way of telling if you will be one of the few that is hit hard by it (I mean if you are otherwise totally healthy). That's why it's important to keep an eye on your symptoms, and at the first signs of a worsening condition, you should seek medical treatment. There are antiviral drugs available, but just because you get the swine flu does not mean you should go on those meds right away. You have to weigh it out with the possible side effects of the antiviral drugs compared to your particular swine flue condition.
And to keep things in perspective, the regular flu kills far more people every year. However, we can better predict who is at high risk in that case.
Anyway, this is an XDA forum, so I won't go into medical topics too in depth. I'll leave it at that.
I'm sorry but I have to agree with guigui42. I understand that your concerned that your brother has caught it, but it's nothing big anymore. When it first kicked up it was, but in some countries this is a pandemic - In england it has been widespread... I've had it, and several friends and family have had it.
It's horrible to have, but it's very rare to kill you. I doubt it even counts as a lucky escape not to die, and feel the original post was rather dramatised. I really do not mean to cause any offense, but no, I will not pray for one individual that has it, when there are countries full of people,
oh and guess what people, there are still far more worse things out there like the AIDS pandemic, cancer, and even sudden killers like heart attacks and strokes.
My sympathy is for anyone that finds out they are a victim of one of them.

Doctors said that his healt is stable at this time and he will be Ok in few days i don't have more info because they don't help alot here in this country everything must be top secret i don't know why

Alright so I have had Andromeda 2.0 installed on my captivate for quite a while now, needless to say those guys did an excellent job building that puppy. I was even able to turn one of my die hard AT&T friends toward it. I grow tired of things quickly, so now I'm looking to upgrade my phone once again to a new ROM. I haven't made up my mind completely yet, I still love Andromeda might switch to a new kernel IDK. Give me what you think will be a good ROM for a somewhat newbie ROM flasher/user/developer.

UD is a private school that has an excellent engineering program that has many ties to WPAFB, and allot of respect. The downside is UD costs a pretty penny, and my parents don't want to fork over too much dough. So the most of tuition lies on me. Financial aid from FASA is out out of the question too.
I've already been accepted into the UD electrical engineering program, and I hope to major in electro-optics in the future.

Sorry about the choice in music, originally I made a pretty sweet intro using Animoto to Livin on a Prayer. I posted the Intro on YouTube then ripped it off, just cause Animoto doesn't let you own the video. Needless to say I violated several copyright laws, so I decided to play it safe then sorry and use some copyright free music.

No idea, but ud (University of Dayton) is pretty expensive. I live just about 2 minutes from it. Without them and Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton would be dead. But ya, what's it gotta do with the captivate?

I'm Simone, one of the latest storm of invites winner and I won one invite to buy a 64GB SandStone Black OnePus One. Tragically right now I don't have the money to buy it but, as you may know, OnePlus send you two more invites after you buy one phone, so I decided to solve my problem in this way:
-First invite: to my girlfriend, in order to give me more time to buy the OPO
-Second Invite: i'll use it to buy my personal OPO
-THIRD INVITE: I'll just give it to one developer of XDA in order to improve his work and demonstrate him my gratitude, cause i've always loved the developers work.
I'm coming from a LG Nexus 4 and a Acer Iconia A500, so i'm enough informed of all the projects and main roms that this site offers. So in order to have this invite just read:
1: write in the message your developer-team name, the projects you're actually working on and the projects you've already put on XDA (with links it's better).
2: write the reason why you need a OPO to continue your projects
Just this, i'll explore the thread (maybe it'll take even a couple of week, cause this is the routine: order the OPO-->wait for shipping-->wait for invites-->blahbla...)
P.S: no post of common users like "pls give me an invite!" because this OPO it's for developing use, not for personal.

@uccollab, we got a sorted list here for giving invites away. The list is ranked, so that developers will get invites first, after that those with most contribution. You can see that KINGbabasula is on that list, so you can give your invite to him.

Without spinning things round and round, I would come straight to the point.
1. I want the spirit and air of XDA should be the same as it has been throughout the years. No one should be allowed to break rules and getaway with it. People should understand XDA is not about monetizing or "making brand name". Those people whose actions are SOLELY in this direction should be appropriately warned/punished.
2. Some devs left the development after getting fed up of personal attacks. Each & every dev should be respected. If there are problems between devs/groups, they should sort it out privately, without public humiliations. There are some so called devs who hire fanboys to relieve their grudge on the guys they hate. Sad thing is now it's being carried out of XDA too.
3. Quarrels and bad blood leads to more quarrels and bad blood. Let's promote brotherhood and loving behavior between each other by not denying out of spirit of personal gains, but helping each other with whatever talent we have . Let's make XDA not a worse, but a better place. Helping people are always loved and appreciated.

Nope. It isn't. Because of some developers trying to humiliate the others, some developers have given up development and some more are going to. The Personal Attacks should stop. If the fan boys (of some devs) still keep doing this every group and forum, the people who are trying to do some good would stop. The devs and fanboys mock at the other devs because they haven't made Stable N till now. But the thing they forget that is that the Devs (who have made Stable N) have been working with the device for about 5-6 Months and the others have just started from 20 days back. Please think of this the next time you laugh at them.

They (hypers) got fans because they worked upto 22 hours a day.
If you'll not attack them then you'll not get reaction (newtons third law)

And even if they did, who gave them the right to abuse and attack other devs.
And if they worked so much, why did we get at N at the time when O is arriving. All of my other devices got it(N) by September. Why couldn't Land? And if I am not wrong, they started work on Land in March. Then why did we get in Aug?

99% of them usually not paid to do so. I can also ask you , are you 1% of them.
I can now guaranty you hridayhs tricked to bring los 14 first. It was actually hypers work. I didn't told because i was little confused as he is also a dev. But now im sure as he couldn't even rework on the project. That's why hyper are so hyper. No one should steal anyone's work.
We just love development ( probably you too) not a dev.

The Telegram Group, there they mocked on the other devs many times. And by other devs I mean the RD and RC.
The RD has left development. RC was also warning that he would also do the same.

As some others devs were trying but they couldn't even boot it yet. Does it means they dont know anything ?

I think the attacks are more of the side of the so called kanging when opensourced. Maybe this is why others closed their updated source and just opened their outdated source

So that any other dev fork (like hridayhs) and not give any credit.
I (if i was a dev) would have also do like them first fix all then apply for maintainer of official roms and finally release it.

Be careful before you say or ask for things. I don't want to humiliate anyone, but no one should be disrespected or abused.
By the way winner's fans can laugh on loser side. Nothing bad in it at a limit.

Rather than name names of 1 culpable forker so what if he did? Does this mean all the rest of dev/maintainer should be automatically labeled the same until proven otherwise? If I recall correctly this whole debacle started when a team released their build (not the sources) and the other team didn't for any (yet). The latter suddenly then got ganged up upon and mega trolled. Which was completely infantile as again we already know diff teams work diff ways and thus can't be held to a certain deadlline. In fact by definition, none of any dev groups here on xda devs should be held to any deadlines ever.
The fanboys especially are a bunch of whiny leechers whose sole contribution so far has been "bug reporting" with no steps to reproduce not even logs. The majority has been posting noob style such as "How's this ROM? Is feature x working?" type of behavior which is frankly one of the top banes for any forum mod especially here in the dev section to put up with. Apparently for some of the more vocal ones, your time are a lot more valuable than even the dev themselves that you can't even be arsed to flash 1st and test. Wow...just wow.... I've even seen 1 idiot here have the gall to expect an OTA update already barely 24 hours after a build was released!?
