[AAA - DEVELOPERS ONLY]- Invite to buy Sandstone OnePlus One - General Topics

Hi there, XDA's developers
I'm Simone, one of the latest storm of invites winner and I won one invite to buy a 64GB SandStone Black OnePus One. Tragically right now I don't have the money to buy it but, as you may know, OnePlus send you two more invites after you buy one phone, so I decided to solve my problem in this way:
-First invite: to my girlfriend, in order to give me more time to buy the OPO
-Second Invite: i'll use it to buy my personal OPO
-THIRD INVITE: I'll just give it to one developer of XDA in order to improve his work and demonstrate him my gratitude, cause i've always loved the developers work.
I'm coming from a LG Nexus 4 and a Acer Iconia A500, so i'm enough informed of all the projects and main roms that this site offers. So in order to have this invite just read:
1: write in the message your developer-team name, the projects you're actually working on and the projects you've already put on XDA (with links it's better).
2: write the reason why you need a OPO to continue your projects
Just this, i'll explore the thread (maybe it'll take even a couple of week, cause this is the routine: order the OPO-->wait for shipping-->wait for invites-->blahbla...)
P.S: no post of common users like "pls give me an invite!" because this OPO it's for developing use, not for personal.
P.P.S: please don't spam or flood the thread, If you even post the same thing two times you'll be automatically excluded from this "contest"
P.P.P.S: no complains. I won't ask in private for money or other secret **** like that and it's my right to choose the developer. So just don't cry if you made a ROM that make xposed avaibale with ART, Dalvik, Llamas, Burritos or whatever and I decide to give the invite to a developer that made a simple rom that I just enjoyed on my phones.
P.P.P.P.S: cyanogenmod team (obviously) excluded, but not rom that have cyanogen base

Hi
I'm the developer of KING's Kernel that brings stability and features to my Samsung Galaxy S Advance (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2747085). The problem is that my s advance is now almost dead and I need a new phone. I want to build my KING'S Kernel for Oneplus One when I'll get it
Inviato dal mio GT-I9070 utilizzando Tapatalk

@uccollab, we got a sorted list here for giving invites away. The list is ranked, so that developers will get invites first, after that those with most contribution. You can see that KINGbabasula is on that list, so you can give your invite to him.

Gonna close this and ask you please use the preexisting threads for invites here...http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/general

Need help with Facebook Sized project.

Hi guys. My name is Joseph Truax, and I am working on an Android Exclusive Social Network.
We have a prototype, that my project manager has made for us, but, he needs money to get our working product started. $15,000 gets the app made.
I am looking for someone, or a few someone's, that would be interested in taking on this task for equity.
We have valued each 1% of equity at $11,666. For the work that you would be doing, I will offer at least 3% of the products equity, or, 1.5 million shares of stock.
I would just need you to follow the guide of our prototype. I have almost all the questions that you may have, answered.
This is a mash up that we are creating. We have consolidated some very popular websites, into a simple and easy Social Media, that replaces having to go and check 8 different sites.
We really need someone that would be interested in being part of the next huge service. What we have is really awesome, and will be around for a nice, long time.
The final thing, Facebook is where you go, to talk to the friends you have. Our network is where you go, to MEET new friends. I am pretty sure, that you will absolutely love it. Thank you guys, for your time.

Probable Billions. The numbers add up.
You guys, this is a 3 month project at the most. I will give you what you deserve. I don't really care about the money. I care about the change that can be made with the money. This is a big deal. Anyone in America interested? Please, for the love of god, PM me!

Campaign Viewsonic for better support.

After reading the the 12 pages over in Viewsonic's Facebook Discussion section on the gTablet support, I came away with the idea that what we need is a single united voice to get Viewsonic attention.
facebook.com/topic.php?uid=58738271675&topic=18712
While many has already blog, tweet and post in forums to show how unhappy they are with the way Viewsonic has treated the gTablet, a single united campaign will hopefully get the attention of online (and maybe offline) media. This would lead to positive PR for the gTablet hardware and negative PR for the company. Hopefully, it will show them the true popularity of the device and get them to reconsider abandoning it for something newer.
I've created a Facebook page to get us started.
facebook.com/pages/Viewsonic-gTablet-Owners-Unite/115515855214154
I welcome any input, help, advise, suggestion etc..
A small update.
Almost a week have pass since the launch of the Viewsonic gTablet Onwers Unite Facebook page and we have nearly 40 people responded. It's a great start but we need more people. Please Like the page if you have not already done so and share it with anyone you know who own a gTablet or looking to get one.
Our goal is NOT to discourage people from buying the gTablet as more units sold translate to a bigger user base. If nothing else, the popularity (=sale figure) would be the one thing Viewsonic cannot ignore.
Join us @
facebook.com/gTabletOwners
they wont give a rat crap about you. The only way they will listen is to get the general public attention.
Spike, that is the purpose of the Facebook page. It require minimal commitment from people. All they have to do is click the Like button. People who wish to be more involve and post and spread the words etc..
And we have 91 members now.
Anyway, last night it came to that while many have said that the only way for Viewsonic to listen is hit them where it hurt the most, through their sales. So I've started a companion page to Viewsonic gTablet Owners Unite called I Switched from Viewsonic. This page is to help register the people who are boycotting the Viewsonic brand. To get all those statements in the same place instead of spreading all over the Internet. Once again, the aim is show strength in numbers.
Before anyone ask, Yes, you can continue to use your current Viewsonic product(s) as long as you have made a purchase of a different brand because of a previous bad experience with Viewsonic.
facebook.com/pages/I-Switched-from-Viewsonic/266914796653802
Time for a little viral marketing.
We are about to hit the 100 members mark sometime this week. To celebrate, I think it would be a great opportunity to do a big (viral) marketing push.
If the Facebook study I have read is true, the average person on Facebook has about 10-20 people on their friends list. My suggestion is for everyone to take a minute to hit the Share button on the bottom left of the Facebook page to post it on their Wall. That would give us a minimum of 1000+ more pair of eye balls seeing the message. Some of them might be gTablet owners or know someone who does. But our real aim is to bring to their attention our cause and at the same time spread negative publicity for Viewsonic to another 1000 people who might in turn share it with more of their friends. With some luck, we might just reach that critical mass that will attract Viewsonic attention.
Make sure to include a message along the line of:
"I own a Viewsonic gTablet and I need your help. Viewsonic has abandon this device after only 3 months of support. Now they are killing it by refusing to provide the necessary driver so the community developers can continue to update it. Please share this with all your friends so we can warn as many people as possible about Viewsonic dodgy business practice."
facebook.com/gTabletOwners
just posted it on the FB support page. lets see if it stays up.

I understand where you are coming from, but asking a corporation to support a commercial failure is most likely falling on deaf ears. Just ask those people who bought Touchpads. Viewsonic doesn't make their money from people like us.

Yes they do.
Fact Most happy consumers have no voice, It's not that they do not have one its more like they have no use or want to be bothered with it.
Upset people have a voice and use it.
So if I was a consumer that was looking for a good product, and search the web for a viewsonic tablet review I will find peoples likes and dislikes.
So if the upset customers (US) make noise, it will hurt their bottom line. I would not want to buy a device that is dropped from support and has bad things said about it.
I as a web guy would have done this a little different.
Create a facebook page for people to like and post their thoughts.
Create a twitter account and link it to the facebook page
Start going to the review sites you find in google searches and post your review with a link to your facebook page.
Heck you could even post on review sites for other viewsonic products (LCD's etc...) stating that you have owned and after the tablet mess, you will never buy again and so on.
I know VS is probably reading this and thinking "Shut up already, we do not need more trouble", but VS it's your fault and only you can fix the problem.
One thing I have learned in the last few years in tech, is never mess with the tech geeks as their numbers can kill you.
BTW, I liked both pages. No more VS for me! and I will spread the word.
PS. PM me if you need anything.
copc, thank you for you support.
I consider myself a thinker, not a leader. It takes a while for my brain to to digest and come up with new ideas. So I really appreciate yours and others help with keeping this project alive. I'm going to ask Roebeet and Living Enzyme if they would like to be Admin on the page or recommend someone who would be a good candidate. We really need a few more people to keep the page alive.
Anyone want to take a stab at making a viral video?

CyanogenMod scammed by one of there own

Holy cow! CM just posted this on Facebook a few minutes ago. I hope this guy gets whats coming to him. Real **** move if ya ask me.
Original Post - https://www.facebook.com/CyanogenMod/posts/10152367978770425
We at CM are very trusting of our members, showed by both respect and permissions granted to those people we consider part of the team. Last month, this trust was violated in a substantial way. In the spirit of openness, here is what happened.
CM’s history is well established, with Cyanogen releasing his original ROM for the G1 on XDA forums. Back then, there was no “CyanogenMod” in terms of the organization and structure that we have today. The builds were hosted on Steve’s personal machine, the original server was a donation of spare kit from Phaseburn. And due to the small size (and lack of funds), the CyanogenMod.com domain was bought by a third-party back in 2009 and donated to CM, when CM was a much smaller project and had no online presence besides XDA.
Fast-forward 3 years, we have 3 extremely powerful build boxes donated by the community and an army of developers, contributors, and supported devices. But, a little over a week ago, things took a bad turn. The person owning the CyanogenMod.com domain was caught impersonating Steve to make referral deals with community sites. When confronted and asked to hand over control of the domain amicably, he decided he wanted 10K USD for it, which we won't (and can't) pay.
We contacted those he had established deals with, only to discover that the person tasked with maintaining our web presence was setting up deals under the CM name, and impersonating Cyanogen himself. Plenty of satisfying evidence was provided by those sites / entities to make us certain that this wasn't a misunderstanding or one-time thing.
This leaves us at a critical impasse. Being trusted with CM’s web presence means this member had control over the CM social network accounts (Twitter/FB) as well as domains (cyanogenmod.com). We have changed ownership of the social media accounts. When asked again to make the transition nicely, he responded with the following
“Hi, so you think by removing all my access across the infrastructure was going to be a great idea? We had a chat yesterday, you've decided to end this bitter. How about I just change the DNS entries right now. CM will practically go down.”
Refusing to be extorted for funds, and then being threatened is “ending it bitter”? Today, it happened: all of our records were deleted, and cyanogenmod.com is slowly expiring out of the Internet and being replaced by blank pages and non-existing sites. @cyanogenmod.com e-mail is now being directed to a mailserver completely out of our control, too.
We have begun the dispute process with ICANN to reclaim our domain. In the meantime, please utilize CyanogenMod.org and all applicable subdomains.
As mentioned, this member also managed our Google Apps for Business account, and therefore our @cyanogenmod.com email addresses. These addresses should be considered discontinued until further notice. We will be contacting the Google team to reclaim rights to the apps account. In the meantime, please contact [email protected] for any devrel questions or other issues. A mailserver is being established to transition devrel and other support email addresses. We will provide those when they are finalized, and they will utilize the .org domain.
We don’t like how this played out, and we are deeply hurt. Likewise, we are deeply saddened at the confusion this may have caused the community. We will continue to be open about the what, when, how, but unfortunately, we may never know the ‘why’ - though greed comes to mind. The team itself has not made a profit off of CM and that is not our goal. But to have one of our own betray the community like this is beyond our comprehension. We will update you all as things progress.
Know that we are pursuing every available legal means to regain control over our domain.
Please note, all donations that were given directly to Cyanogen (aka [email protected]b.org) did indeed reach their destination and are not affected.
If you are a company out there that believes they have also entered into agreements with “CM” by this person impersonating Steve, please contact [email protected]. We’d like to get a handle on how widespread this was before we file charges.

I run CM on my Hero and once and a while a CM based ROM on my Evo3D and like CM or not, these guys have worked hard to support a lot of android devices and have brought a lot to the table if you ask me.
If this is in the wrong place feel free to move it.
I find it hilarious lol. As sad as this is, it was pretty ballsy of him which you have to give props to.

[PROTEST] [ONE S] [S4] Email to protest and information on HTC Sense 5 Update

I HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT THAT IS NOT SHUT UP GET NOTHING. ALWAYS BEEN JUST AS I AM CONVINCED THAT WHEN AN INJUSTICE WE MUST FIGHT.
I AM SURE THAT THE UNION IS STRENGTH AND THAT A SINGLE MOVE A STONE, A GROUP MOVE A MOUNTAIN.
I HAVE SENT AN E-MAIL TO HTC, WHERE TO ASK QUESTIONS AND WHERE I LAMENT THE PROBABLE FAILURE UPDATE TO THE SENSE 5, EXPLAINING THAT WE HAVE ALSO PAID THE OUR TERMINALS AND ALSO WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO UPDATE.
This is the translated text of my email:
HTC EMAIL CONTACT
I kindly news about the release of Android 4.2.2 for HTC Sense 5 One S snapdragon s4.
I would like all users YOUR One S users, have official explanations, in the light of the sun about this update, which apparently will be released one day and the next day not.
We are like other users, such as those that currently have chosen Htc One X and X +, we paid our terminals like the others and most of us choose HTC because fans of the brand and fascinated by your terminal.
We stand out from the crowd, which tends to cause relentless advertising campaigns to follow the fashion and buy competitive products (usually Samsung) but we want to be updated because I think it is our right to be.
We know it is not easy to design an efficient update in a short time, however we have seen that Android 4.2.2 has brought great improvements in performance and battery life in other models like HTC One X One X+. So, why it is impossible to provide it even on HTC One S? The One S has a still recent hardware so it should be fully compatible with Android 4.2.2.
I think I can say without problems, attending various forums where we discuss htc One S in general and in particular, that the majority of users of One S abandon the brand, many say "never again htc, I will turn to other" their for this reason.
I hope I am wrong and I offer my most sincere apologies if there should be the update (and I hope so), but the story of '"update, no update", it creates a lot of discontent and especially begins to tire YOUR users.
Thank you for your attention, I am hoping for your reply, I offer you my greetings.

[REQUEST] [i9500] Invitation to Developers

Hey guys,
I have been an active member in the i9500 forum for quite some time now. I'm proud of the way our existing developers have made us a usable, in fact almost stable CM11 ROM. I applaud them for their genuine efforts. But I recently got the Nexus 5 and previously had the Galaxy S3 i9300. Being an avid flasher, I cant help but feel dissatisfied with the level of development we have for our current device.
So what I propose is this. Let's request developers to come and develop for us. Let's send mails, post in other forums, tweet to them and do whatever it takes. We have a solid base in CM already. I'm sure we can have at least some devs who'd be interested in coming and developing and look at this device as a challenge. I have already started this process with inviting Yank (those with S3 would be familiar with his work). He says he's bogged down with other devices but I'm sure if enough of us request him, he'll help us with his work.
Lastly, I'd like to thank @Alberto96, @runedrune, @intervigil, @AndreiLux, @al_iraqi, @iamsachin and everyone else who has contributed to this device.
Please post your thoughts or comments below. Let's take this initiative to make our device supported by maximum number of developers.

I agree but i think we should find the best developer's in the whole forum and ask them if they would like to help us if he wants then we should donate to get him an i9500 for the work

Let's bring it to the notice of developers of AOKP, Slim ROMs, PAC and others that we have an almost stable CM 11 base rom. I'm sure they'd be interested in supporting another device.

What exactly do you want as "development "? I keep seeing such complaints and mostly it's just hot air without ever any concrete feature request or technical insight in what's being demanded.
We don't need development for the sake of development. Other forums are riddled with crap upon crap of ROMs and stuff with everybody doing their own thing, and it's 80% nonsense and useless.
Then there's the nature and demographic of the userbase on this device; which in my opinion leaves much to be desired. I single-handedly brought up all the kernel stuff myself from scratch, but it feels like it didn't matter anyway because there's no audience for it save the few souls who really care. Not to mention <5 donations in the last 5 months, which will certainly cause me to sell this device in the next few months instead of keeping it so that I can offset the next purchase. The US/EU community was much more fun to work with.
So again, what do you really want? There's by now a bug-free AOSP tree and I'm keeping a fully featured kernel up. If you want development then work with the existing people, because frankly asking other devs to come in and magically fulfill your expectations seems overly dismissive of the existing options and reeks a bit of ignorance towards the notion of developments in general.

I respect your work. And I am actually amongst the handful people who use your kernel. But that doesn't mean that I'm happy with having one custom kernel and one custom rom. Every rom has its unique feature and every developer has his own signature. I love PA hybrid and Halo, I love AOKP ribbons and I love The Real Dark Slim. That's why I want these developers to come and develop for us. I thank you for your work and wish you don't abandon this device either. As for donations, I'm sure it's not donations that these developers work for. It's just a reward for them if someone donates.
No disrespect but everyone has their own point of view. Let's not generalize. There are plenty of people using this device. There's as good a user base for this device as there has been for other Sammy devices. Lack of development has in fact deterred people from active participation. Every day I see new and new people commenting on threads of cm 11 because finally we have a stable rom.
If you are offended by something I said, I would suggest you don't follow this thread.

Get cash from your hobbies, not the cash that is used to be your hobbies. I dunno what the better english for this as I'm not native speaker. I suggest you andrei to make synapse as a freemium app (some basic features of your kernel is free and for other you must pay or purchase full version apl to configuring it) or make it a full paid app/not free, and it'll give you sum of cash if you doing this as your main source of $. Just my 2cent. Dont flame me.

That will not happen due to Google country restriction policy, simple as that.
I'm just justifying why developers won't come to this device from my own experience and perspective. To even consider getting this late into the game makes even less sense.

Of course it is. It also means that it's unrewarding if nobody does. Like I said, this is plainly due to the demographic of the userbase. It is very very different from the S3/N2, believe me.
