Can anyone recommend a good camera lens kit for the pixel xl? I love the wide angle/zoom lens case for the note 7 & s7 but I guess generic is how we're going to have to go with this phone.

Just wondering if anybody has caught wind of what the battery sizes will be on the new Pixel 2 & Pixel XL 2?
I currently own the Nexus 5x. I love the phone, but the battery life SUCKS! I was tempted to buy the Pixel XL but I heard the Pixel 2 was being released soon. I'm sure they improved on the battery I just don't know by how much.
Thx,
Will it come in Pixel 3?
and if it does, will they enable it on Pixel 2 as well?
It's already available on Pixel 2.

Thanks...
Also, If you've been using the Pixel 2( smaller one)
1. How are its speakers?
2. Has it started showing lag the way MKBHD complained about?
I'm thinking of buying a smaller sized phone ( and my two options atm are Iphone 8 and Pixel 2) ( though I've never used an iphone before)
Thanks a lot.

I am a heavy user and don't suffer lag. I do tend to close apps down often but that is from habit.

Yes, I am Pixel 2 user)
1. External Speakers quite ok. I don't know what exactly bothering you about it? If make it sound as loud as possible its started creak a bit. But I never listen phone at full. As for ringing, might be little louder. Sometimes it seems not enough.
Internal speak - no problems at all.
2. No. It still works as from the box. As long as I know this problem exist only in Pixel 2 XL
Disadvantages for me:
1. Become really hot if using camera for long. If take around 30 shots (HDR+) in line, app slows down and phone becomes overheated.
2. Battery. Its not bad. One and half day with 4 hours display on and couple shots with camera... But during the night it drains around 6%... I am on Android P by the way. Despite it's adaptive battery feature, still the same result. I think it's too much for idle phone operation.
But still I think this is best "small" phone. Only iPhone X better in some way, but it much more expensive.
As for iPhone 8. I see only 2 advantages over pixel:
1. iOS. Some apps are really better on iOS. And design looks nicer to my eye
2. Keyboard. I don't know how they did it. But even on smaller display of iPhone 6 I make less mistypes than on Pixel GBoard. Plus 3D touch.

I got my answer :good:
Hey all,
I've been having a Nexus 6P for a long while and i really love it. But its been lagging as hell and battery time is now around 2 hours SoT and also the charging port is busted so its all a nightmare.
I've been thinking of upgrading to OnePlus6 but i've been worried about the camera quality. Nexus 6P had a really great cam, is OnePlus at least as good? specially in low light?
Even I was using the Nexus 6P. But recently I switched to OnePlus 6 and trust me, it has been an amazing experience. Even I was struggling with Battery and Performance issues on my Nexus 6P. And for Camera's, the OnePlus 6 shows a 3 year difference between phones. The camera on OnePlus 6 is better than my Nexus 6P.
Hey guys I m switching from a pixel 2 xl and looking for something cheaper. Would you guys recommend a pixel 3 a or pixel 3a xl?

Depends on what you want. The phones are more or less identical, the only major differences are the size and battery - the 3a XL is bigger in both.
If you're currently having the Pixel 2 XL and are OK with the size, then go for the 3a XL. If you would like to switch to a smaller phone, then go for the ordinary 3a.
I'd wait till the Pixel 4 is released in mid-Oct. You might find that Google offers some decent trade in values for your Pixel 2 XL. Or discount the 3 series even further than it is now ($300 off).
As noted, the screen and battery are about the only things better on the 3a XL. You've lived with the 2 XL screen this long, so it must not bother you too much. A few more weeks won't make a difference.
If you want a cheaper phone, you could definitely switch over to a 3a or 3a xl. I went with the 3a because i got tired of having a big phone( 2xl) and I got also annoyed of having to carry a headphone jack adapter. I only miss the faster snapdragon processor. The battery life on the 2xl was terrible too. I do miss the actual front speakers on the 2xl. Can't go wrong with the 3a though. It gets me through the day.
Either would work

Either works; the 3a is smaller than the S7 or newer (I came from the S7). Also, it has a longer SOT than the S7 and charges faster than the S7 as well. Here's a shocker - the S7 charges faster using the 3a's charger than using its own charger; however, the 3a charges faster yet. (That means it is NOT a fault in the S7's charger.)

I am on a bit of a budget to be honest. I can't buy a phone out right and knowing Google it's going to be very expensive.

And for me personally I want to try the 3A XL because it's a better option for me and I have to spend less money. They only gripe I have with the phone is that does not have the image processing chip my 2XL has.

I have a pixel 2 XL which is on its deathbed as well. So you think I should just go for the regular 3A?

Why would you switch from a pixel 2xl to a 3a or 3axl?? I don't think so it is a very smart idea

I never missed headphone jack, guess i adopted to this trend way too early. Pixel 2xl battery life is quite good for me and does the job. Cheaper, yeah but then if you already have 2xl why would you spend extra money?
