What is it?
This ROM is developed by Xiaomi for their own phones. MIUI 7 is the latest one which uses Kitkat 4.4.4 as base. This ROM is created for RedMI and it's ported by a chinese developer(God bless). It's shared by the site techolaty.com.
Why should I install this ROM?
Because VIBE UI is pathetic, no offence.

What do I need to have to use this ROM?
GAPPS for Kitkat (4.4.2 or 4.4.4)
Custom Recovery (FlourMO, CWM, Phillz - Search XDA for more details)
If you don't have any idea on above two things, I strongly recommend not to proceed with this thread.

How can I install this ROM?
Step 1 : Copy both the files to your SD card ( The MIUI 7 custom rom and the gapps which you’ve downloaded)
Step 2 : Boot into Recovery (Follow the guide to goto recovery)
Step 3 : Please take an entire backup of your current rom through the CWM menu. So that you can restore it back if you fail to install the Custom ROM
Step 4 : Enter recovery
Step 5 : Make full wipe including “system”
Step 6 : Flash the rom
Step 7 : Flash the gapps
Step 8 : Reboot (the first boot can take up to 2 minutes)

1st put rom in the root directory of your sd card.
go to Twrp (backup first)--->wide data,cache,dalvik cache (system wipe is optional) --->go back to main menu of twrp-->flash the rom(select from root directory where you saved),Patch if you found bugs accordingly.
attachments are explained in patches
wpa_supplicant.zip -for wifi fix
CM13_Fixp.zip -for video stream fix
SDcard.zip-default memory as sd card
SDcard_otkat.zip-revert back/roll back default memory to phone memory

The problem is, my data connection is not working.
it says data is on but all applications say no internet connection

All i had to do was change the apn settings
im getting data now

Emoji issue
Hi! The rom works great, only some emoji, like the sad face don't work: they show up like a black and white basic emoji face. Could you please try and fix this?

Instructions:
Backup your currect rom incase if something went wrong..

This rom is only for non 4G variant

Dude,
U need to flash stock rom's secro.img
This happened because ur device's IMEI is either corrupted or wiped
Fixes :----->
1. Flash secro.img of stock rom OR
2. Only If stock rom installed , install mtk engineering mode apk and then repair IMEI

1. Format Data (typing "yes") and wipe Data, Dalvik, Cache, System and vendor
2.Flash the Firmware file and the Pixel Experience Rom
3.You MUST flash Below given TWRP before trying to install the ROM
4. Install anything else you would like (Magisk)
5. Shutdown the device and turnon.
Troubleshooting:
If you find that the Network is crashing or not working, kindly wipe the five partitions and reinstall the ROM zip

Lollipop and Marshmallow custom roms are my favorite roms, I still use them to this day and seeing a post of these roms makes me happy (and more that it's Touchwiz).
