When I select 'All Partitions' in device filters, I get the following messages:

Operation Failed!
This is stock ROM for Galaxy Fit GT-S5670. I want to make sure I can correctly backup my IMEI and the EFS data before pushing modified ROM image to the device. I used mobogenie to do initial push of .apk files for rooting, and also ran the Mobogenie ROOT tool.
On EFS Pro (Beta) (couldn't find a stable OLDER version...I would like to try an old one.) I go to the Backup Tab, and under device filters I don't see my version of Samsung Galaxy FIT In the Manage section of device filters. Anytime I try to do anything with the Device Partitions or Device Filters I get the message: Number was less than the array's lower bound in the first dimension. Parameter name: srcindex
Please advise me if this is just a dumb question of a newbie?

EFS Pro 2.0.12: Unable to Create Archive
I am a new user to EFS Pro, and am using v2.0.12. I tried other older versions, and am getting the same error, and that is when I start the backup, I get an error that it cannot create the archive.
My S3 Tmobile (SGH-T999) is rooted and currently running CM10.1 1/24 nightly. I also enabled USB & ADB debugging. The program accesses the phone OK, it seems that the problem is just in the final saving of the file.
I thought perhaps it was a permission issue with the program not being able to write to my disk, however I have it running with Administrator privileges. I'm stumped. Oh and my O/S is Windows 7 Pro, 64-bit.

[Q] EFS Professional backup PROBLEM

I have been trying to backup the efs folder on Samsung galaxy Music GT-S6010 using EFS Professional v2.0.62 and when the software is "Extracting PIT from device for mapping ..." it shows "operation failed" and gives a prompt showing it was "Unable to extract PIT from device!".
I have attached a screenshot of the issue, anyone kindly help.
Similar problem on Galaxy S GT I9000, MORE DETAILS given
Hello,
I have a problem with EFS Professional. I searched the development thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1308546) and googled it as well. Although some solutions were offered my problem is not solved. I am not a complete newbie but not an expert either, so maybe I have a really simple issue here?
I am simply trying to backup the EFS partition on Samsung Galaxy S GT I9000.
The problem in short:
1. All seems to be well on welcome tab.
2. While running the backup, I get “Unable to read PIT file!” and the process stops.
3. If I run it again it skips the PIT file part saying “Skipped, already exists.” And then a popup shows saying “unable to create archive!”
4. Note: a tar.gz file is actually created and placed in a new EFSProBackup folder on the phone under /mnt/sdcard. The size of this file is only 29 Bytes and I think its basically an empty file).
Note that I did change my Busybox to version 1.20.0.git (but not 1.20.0 if it makes any difference?) as was suggested).
Can anyone help?
Please see a detailed description below.
Many thanks!

[Q] [Generic Device] Howto upgrade OS inside the img file

Recently i was given an android device by a friend.. once i got to looking around at it, it appears to be some generic device from china.
After searching for days, i found the maker as fugetek. I emailed them asking for a release date on OS upgrade (from 4.1.1 -> kitkat) and was informed that " Updates are needed, and won't be made. "
Emailed them again asking for the source / project files they used to build the android OS for this device so i could update it myself...
Here is what they sent me:
(image attached)
As you can see.. these are hardly project files / source files, but rather a flashing tool, a set of " how to " doc's for flashing the device, and a compiled *.img
My Question:
1) Is it possible to extract / mount the img file, and manually upgrade the OS to kitkat witout losing any hardware functionality
2) If it is indeed possible to upgrade the android OS version using the img file as src, does anyone know of a step-by-step guide / tutorial on how this is done.
[EDIT] UPDATE: Seems the PheonixUSBPro flashing utility links to an " Alwinner " PDF when you click help..
I am assuming this is pretty much the same image being passed around by the chinese for their generic 7" Android Devices
From what i'm reading.. this is going to a fun, and somewhat convoluted project

Unroot the device by opening Super app (if you don't have it, install it from Playstore), then open its app settings, find the setting that says "cleanup for Unroot and uninstall", this will remove the su binaries from system and uninstall the Super app. That will fully Unroot you and allow your apps to run.
Or you can leave it rooted and find a mod or app that hides root from those apps to let them run.

Unable to find Super App. but I have SuperSU it says that there is no binary installed.
I did root checker and It says system is not Rooted.
but when I use file explorer I am able to see the system files, (etc, system so on)
There is an app called SIM Toolkit (versioin 5.1-vKB095L) it wont run, says it's not installed, but it's in the application list as installed and running.
using root app deleter I see under system apps its located at /system/priv-app/stk1/stk1.apk
says its an official app optimized for current ROM

Yeah, autocorrect got me.
If there are no su binaries then you aren't rooted.
The SIM Toolkit is a stock system app, it is supposed to be there, it's not an app you can open or do anything with, it just runs in the background.

Both Pokemon Go and Android Pay will not Authenticate.

Try reflashing stock firmware and start over from scratch.
Do a Google search for:
"Return to stock (your model number)"
If it's available for your model, that will find your stock firmware and instructions to flash it. Get it flashed and then reinstall the apps you're trying to get working.

I found this thread for your device, you can probably find the stock firmware to restore it somewhere in that thread. Use SP Flash tool to flash it. I saw a firmware linked there for K960 which I believe is your device.
http://www.chinaphonearena.com/forum/Thread-Question-How-to-root-JLINKSZ-K960-MTK6592-OR-T
I found this thread discussing alternative firmwares that might be used.

In my experience, these cheap Chinese tablets aren't worth having because they have no product support whatsoever. These devices are actually knock-off trying to imitate/clone "real" devices.
I suggest you ditch that tablet and get something better.

Hello 2k05gt, I recently bought this device. I messed up with the launcher and now is stuck in the "Adnroid is starting, optimizing app" loop. When I enter to recovery mode, a screen pops up saying "No command". Perhaps no recovery is flashed? Do you happen to have the same issue? I am really pissed off because I don't know how to fix this.

I recently bought a Lebast x14 pro max phone and wanted to Root it, but I couldn't find a way to unlock it.

RAM: 16G

Mobile information is

It is said on the Internet that 5G is not supported, but this version is mainly based on 5G. Anyway, I tried to find a lot of Root methods, but unfortunately none of them work. May a root expert please give me a clear direction.

I open KernelSU after installation, but it shows
Unsupported
KernelSU now only supports GKI kernels
Core: 4.14.193
Admin version: v0.5.7(10866) Fingerprint:5G/T93115G:11/RP1A.201005.001/1669974822: user/release-keys SELinux state: Mandatory
Because the display is Unsupported, according to the above, you need to compile the kernel yourself.
I checked the unofficially supported devices and saw a similar version number, but there is only one digit difference.
rushiranpise
android_kernel_samsung_exynos9610_mint
Kernel 4.14.194 exynos9610 non-GKI device, added KernelSu using manual method
Would it be more appropriate to use this?
Why waste your time trying to flash pre-compiled KernelSU what isn't suitable to your phone?
Try MagiskSU .
If it's not your goal that applications get provided root access but you - the user - to act like an Administrator in Windows OS then it's enough to add SU ( read: SwitchUser ) binary to Android, IMO.

In fact, I have installed the magisk, just on the installation, I don’t know how to proceed, I need to select and repair the file, but this phone does not have a file for flashing the phone like a big brand, I also tried to go to the file in the phone I searched for boot-related files and tried to patch and install them, but they couldn’t be installed. I tried to install the magisk in a virtual machine, but even if it was installed, I still need to patch the files to get full permissions.
