Hi,
Today I encountered an issue with my xperia z3v. It was stuck in an infinite boot loop and kept shutting off and powering back on. I noticed that the phone would reboot when getting tapped so I think there is an issue with the battery connection. I took off the cover and checked the connections and they are all fine (the cover was already loose, must have been due to heat). The phone now when plugged in doesn't even show the charging sign and just keeps flashing the red light and vibrating signaling start up and I see the sony logo before it keeps looping. Based on this behavior I don't think the phone is interacting with the battery. When plugged into a pc it says "upgrading,do not disconnect device from pc. Software statusfficial." And it comes up as S1 Service in device manager. I really want to be able to get the data off this phone, but it is not detected to be in debugging mode. The phone is being detected as some kind of erickson and not a xperia z3v in the data transfer program I use. Is there any hope?
Thanks!

All, I realized I posted this in the wrong thread. I apologize. I also found that there seems to be a loose connection or short somewhere. When I put a clamp on the phone in the right hand side of the phone near right below the center of the phone, the phone will boot up successfully. That gave me enough leeway to be able to connect the phone to my computer and back up my files. I am retiring the Z3V and upgrading to a galaxy S7 after this issue, and have had issues for a while with the Z3V with overheating and glitching out. I hope this information helps some one.

The problem:
My Z3 isn't charging at all, it's showing the charging screen and the red led is glowing for a few seconds, then it's turning off, showing the charging screen and the red led for a few seconds, turning off and repeats that without actually charging the phone. I can't turn it on, but I am able to get into flashmode by holding down the volume button and connecting it to my pc.
I already flashed the stock image. It's rooted and was running the latest official image. Locked Bootloader.
A few days ago it started changing the battery status every few minutes. Going from 12 to 50%, staying on it for a few minutes, going back to 20, to 6, just random numbers.
I used it today when it suddenly powered off. Despite being charged for one and a half hour in my car with the dock connector. Since then I am not able to turn it on or charge it.
What I already did:
Testing multiple chargers and cables, incl dock connector.
Tried to backup it with adb console, however it can't connect to my device. But I have zero experience with ADB, so I tried the flash tool from androxyde. It's connecting in flashmode and I was able to flash a stock image.
Am I able to backup the phone from the flashmode?
If not, am I able to wipe it so the service isn't able to view my personal data?
I hope somebody can help me :crying:
I was able to charge the phone now, I used both, the dock connector AND the USB connector cable. I don't know if it's damaging the battery but it seems to be broken anyway. Still giving out random numbers (was normal until it went past 10%, now it's jumping between 50% and the real number.
Sad thing is, I wiped all the data on the phone. Good thing is, if it wouldn't have turned on, nobody would be able to see my personal data.
It's time to give it to a service point I guess. I hope I get a new phone btw, seemed to have a faulty antenna as well the last weeks.
I have the worst problem, it began after i upgraded GT-N8000 to kitkat,by UAE ROM, but it works for few months, and USB is not debugging enabled, by mistake...
Until i forgets it on the power fro four hours, then i discovered that it is rebooted and rebooted and rebooted and stuck on the samsung icon, i took it for samsung to fix it they told it is motherboard, and has a price more than the device itself, so i took it from them, and tried to start it, it is failed to start after... i removed the cover and removed the battery for a minute, useless, i couldn't turn it again, i did all the things on the internet, useless.
The PC is not detecting the device.
The device is not starting on.
the battery is removed many times, and plugged again.
Even i tried to charge the battery using its poles by a direct charger on it, while it is unplugged from the motherboard.
The device can't be started or give any power on the screen...
Kindly help... Thanks always in advance.

Here is what happened. I was playing Crashlands when I noticed that my battery is at 3%. So ran to get my Quick charger to get some power fast. After connecting it, I tried to unlock the screen and it went black after a second. So I was thinking that it just shutdown because of low battery. I pressed the power button and noting happens, just the red light showing it was charging. Then I tried soft restart (power + volume up) and it vibrated 3 time and probably shutdown. From that point noting I did started the phone. Even using the off button next to the Sim tray. When I connected it to my PC is ether recognized as Unknown USB device or SOMC Flash Device. I should probably mention that the phone was hot from the game before connected it the charger.
I had the phone for one year and a bit. It is not rooted and i just recently installed the lattes update from Sony. Currently I have it put to charge, at least it looks like it is charging (gets little hot).
Is my phone bricked or something else? What should I do?
I have same problem like this.
Hope someone can help us.
QHSUSB_DLOAD device will show when Connected PC.You can use Flashtool to install the driver.
Unknown divices : because you should complete shut down the power (Disconnect the buttery ).
flash tool will find the phone ,but can't flash.
seems Z1 have a way that find the test point to recovery boot file.hope z5 have the same way.
Sorry for my Poooor English ,hope you can understand what i say and have someone Help US.
Hi. My close friend has this issue. I'm posting this because she can't figure it out by herself. A month ago, her phone downloaded an update and she installed it. Since then, the phone has restarted by itself without any reason, just random restarts and the frequency of restarts was more frequent with each day. Fast forward to this day and the phone is constantly turning up and shows the POCO logo and restarts by itself. This loop is not ending until the battery is completely dead. When trying to access fastboot or recovery mode, she can get there but only for few seconds (until the device restarts again) which is not enough time to make any changes / factory reset. She did not accessed developer tools in system, so the bootloader is still locked. Holding down power button does nothing. ONE SINGLE UPDATE screwed up whole phone. Can't do ****. There's no SD card or SIM card in the slot. Is there any "hack" to stop the phone from restarting itself? Note when the battery is completely empty and she plugs the charger, the whole nightmare starts again. I'm lost. Did you guys have any ideas what to do? Or is the repair centre only solution? (She cracked glass of the display, i'm not sure if that voids warranty. [it's not glass COVER, it's the glass which is part of the display])
Is this device unlocked? If not, then RMA.
If it is, my best guess is to get the device into recovery (or fastboot?) and immediately connect to PC.
If it holds, leave it there as it will charge, although at much slower rate.
When charged, use TWRP to try to reboot to system.
If it doesn't work, then factory reset.
Sadly, i can not get to recovery because in about 2 seconds the device will reboot. There's literally no time to make any changes - factory reset. Also the device is not unlocked. I hope RMA accept the phone even though it has cracked screen . Thanks for response anyway
Then RMA it is. If you're in EU they'll have to take it, even with the cracked screen.
But does the reboot happen even when connected to PC? Two seconds is enough to plug it in if you're fast...
Yeah, we tried every possible idea we can think of. Pressing the toggle button from different angles with different intensity to make sure it isn't stuck inside, covering up the proximity sensor (yeah makes no sense but even that we tried, lol). Tried with connected to PC as with classical charging brick. No change. Back in those days where smartphones doesn't have unibody construction and you were able to take down the back cover and remove battery it was way simple. Nowadays it's not possible to stop the phone from booting itself until battery is completely empty. My friend says the problem started about month ago, when the phone annouced that there is an update available so she downloaded it and installed it. Before that, there was no problem with the phone whatsoever. Maybe it's caused by some kind of virus but IDK which apps she was using. She didn't have rooted phone not unlocked bootloader in developer tools. Also i googled that it may be caused by "Airtel Thanks" app which she didn't have installed aswell. I will keep this thread updated as what happend to the phone cause i'm also interested what went wrong and to help future users who will struggle with this problem a solution. Thank you.
CaptainFedora, did you solve the problem? I have the same issue...
Yeah, actually. Sorry for not posting the answer although it was definitely her fault. It was the power button being pressed down (which made continuous bootloop). But the button was somehow pressed deep into the phone's body. So complete dissasembly was needed.
Btw. my friend lives in other country so we discussed this problem over internet. If i could have the phone physically with me i would definitely know what was the problem.
Hi.
Yesterday I had the same problem, the device kept restarting every 10 seconds, it didn't even come to any screen besides the first one with the POCO logo in yellow.
Things I tried that did NOT work:
restart
hard restart
fastboot (it did enter the fastboot mode, but only showing the picture of the 2 robots and after 10 seconds restarting again to the POCO logo image)
plug it to power
plug it to computer
After 3 hours of continuous restarting and trying anything I could find in the internet and I could imagine of (except extracting the battery because it seemed complicated and difficult to revert), I tried randomly something that miraculously worked...don't ask me why.
pressing the power button shortly and quickly around 30 times (it might have worked after 10 or 20, but I just kept doing it a little longer
Afterwards it just started as if nothing had happened...doesn't make any sense, but I just wanted to tell you in case you are in a similar situation and desperate to not lose all the images and videos as I was yesterday.
Hi all,
I recently bought Moto Edge 30 device and after a month of usage, I have this issue - The apps started crashing randomly and the screen gets frozen and restarts. Sometimes it gets stuck in the boot loop until I go to recovery mode and reboot the device again. What could cause this issue?
I got it checked in a service center and it was mentioned the charging port has liquid damage hence it's causing some issues with the motherboard and hence the restart problem. The charging and turbocharging in the device work fine and even it connects to the PC and works fine. Is there any truth to what I have been told?
If anyone has encountered a similar issue, let me know if there's anything I could do to fix this.
i had something similar, in my case my edge 30 would randomly shutdown, and id know because when I pressed the power button it would start booting.
the service center identified it as a motherboard defect and replaced it. it's working fine now.
