Galaxy X - General Topics

Samsung has completed a number of certifications for a new device - SM-G888N0. Likely the Galaxy X or Galaxy Note X, a foldable smartphone/tablet. This looks to be a revolutionary game changer among devices. It should be available sometime in 2018. It will be interesting to see pricing as it's rumored to have a limited release in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Italy, South Korea, Nordic countries, France and Poland. Once the 1st run bugs are worked out sometime in late 2018 it will be my next device. This device ROCKS!

Omnia i8000 UK release date?

I've just read according to newswire the Samsung Omnia 2 (i8000) expansion will include China, Australia, Netherlands, Turkey and the UAE and will be available in these countries and more in August.
I've been following details on this phone since May as I want it as my next phone. My contract is now up, but still no mention of a UK release date and my patience is wearing thin.
I don't want to get into a discussion about operating systems...I like WinMo end of story. All I want to know is when this phone is due out in the UK...if ever!!
Anyone know the full list of countries (apparently there are 20) that the Omnia 2 (i8000) will be released in this month?
Thanks for your time people. Hope someone knows something.

Here are the launch dates for Galaxy S4 in Eastern Europe

A global launch of a smartphone is no easy task – there are long lists of which country gets what and when. The latest list (courtesy of SamMobile) about the Samsung Galaxy S4 is about the Eastern European launch of the flagship droid (including Russia and the Ukraine).
The Galaxy S4 is split into two versions – 3G and LTE. Unfortunately, it’s not entirely clear if those are the Exynos 5 Octa and Snapdragon 600 or some mix of the two. Both chipsets support LTE. The earlier rumors suggested the Exynos version will be the one sold in both Russia and the Ukraine, you can consult the list for the rest of the countries.
Both color versions – Black Mist and White Frost – will arrive at the same time. Also, the 32GB version seems to have been dropped – you get either the 16GB version or go for broke with the 64GB. The microSD card slot means storage is easy to expand, so you must really need huge amounts of storage to go for the 64GB units.
Anyway, here’s the list:
Galaxy S4 3G 16 GB – Week 16
Galaxy S4 3G 32 GB – DROPPED
Galaxy S4 3G 64 GB – Week 24
Galaxy S4 LTE 16 GB – Week 21
Galaxy S4 LTE 32 GB – DROPPED
Galaxy S4 LTE 64 GB – Week 24
Week 16 is April 15-21, Week 21 is May 20-26 and Week 24 is June 10-16.

Welcome to the forum and great post.
Thank the man!
This is driving me crazy. Why the long delay before 4G version?
Will 3G version also support 4G in the future as it has the capability?
So hang on 3G is the octa version and 4g is the snapdragon CPU? I ordered with phones4u and it states its snapdragon 1.9ghz and 4g?

yes you will get the 4G LTE version
I'm willing to make a bet : The S4 won't be available anywhere in this world prior to 26 april ! - the date of it's official launch.
Who's in?
// And regarding that 3g part ... hahahaha

April 15-21 for Exynos 5 Octa 3G version 16GB version! This info has been confirmed by SamMobile
You kind of have to take specific regional dates with a grain of salt. Samsung can only produce "X" a month so it's a matter of priorities as to which markets get which versions, in which order, and in which quantities. So what's announced for Eastern Europe may have no bearing on other regions. T-Mobile in the U.S. has said May 1 for the S-600/LTE version so you can assume, while not announced, the other U.S. carriers will be around that timeframe. So with "X" S-600/LTE SGS4’s available and a big portion of that "X" committed to the U.S. it could affect when other regions get theirs. From Samsung's perspective if they know they'll have "X" to sell in the first 90 days and that all of "X" is going to sell their biggest concern isn't sales; it's who do they want to please (country wise) and who do they want to piss off by how they choose to allocate inventory. And the missing 32GB for Eastern Europe could be because of re-allocating 32GB's to other regions; not that it’s dead. It's certainly going to look like a cluster-f outwardly as Samsung figures out who gets what and when.
So hang on what have we all preordered for stating delivery on 26 April from phones4u? For the quadcorere version when it's showing a may release date? Getting worse this is.

Thanks for this, just wish they had given more details about Europe, I suspect I'm still going to get the T-Mobile version as the 200gb sd card deal is worth it alone!

Europe = UK ? for the LG V10 actually
As Samsung for the Note 5, it's not a good strategy to have so few information about the countries who get the device. It's not difficult for theses big manufacturers to sell phones around the world.
Result : wait or died.
On Twitter, I asked LGBlog when the LG V10 would be released in Germany. They answered: "The V10 won't be declared for sale by us in Germany." (link: https://twitter.com/BB4ll/status/661182630646403072)

Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 now available in Russia

After launching it in the US, UK, and some other markets, Samsung has now brought its Galaxy Tab S3 tablet to Russia. The tablet is listed on the tech giant's US website, with the listing revealing it's available for purchase through offline channels.
As for price, the WiFi variant carries an RUB 54,990 (around $975) tag, while the LTE variant will set you back RUB 59,990 (around $1,065). For those who aren't aware, the device starts at £599 in the UK, while in the US, it's available starting $600.

Note 10 ( N9700 for Taiwan), no updates

Hi, I have a note phone for Taiwan (version also available for China and Hong Kong). I come from the Czech Republic and a phone purchased through the UK (for snapdragon). Unlike other versions, I had the latest update to android 10 sometime in January. Since then there is no update for Taiwan, so the latest Android security is January 1. According to sammobile, there is no update for Taiwan yet, but they are newer for action. It's weird. It is possible to play Taiwan sw to China or Hong Kong. I think all the places fall into the n9700 / ds version. Thanks for the reply. If there is a sw sw dealing about the action please just link .. I looked back, but I found nothing like that. Thanks
