Im using the Tapatalk app for Android to access, login, and post to XDA. BUT, Im encountering problems. Here's the steps of what happens below.
1. I open Tapatalk
2. Im already logged in to XDA in Tapatalk, so I click on the XDA link in my favorites in Tapatalk.
3. Im able to browse all froums and posts within XDA in the Tapatalk app.
4. I decide I want to post a new thread.
5. I click "Menu>New post"
6. I fill in the subject and thread body text field credentials.
7. I click "Submit"
8. I get and error stating "Error connecting to forums, please contact the forum administrator if this problem persists".
Im also using Tapatalk to access my profile for Imserba Forums, and I've posted plenty of threads on Imserba, but Tapatalk does not let me. Even Imserba's mobile 'touch' site wont let me post because it adds tags to my new thread posts when I try to submit my new post and it reverts me back to the "new post" page and gives me an error message stating that I am not allowed to insert tags other than the ones provided, but I dont even add tags, the system is adding them, i delete the tags from the tags field, and try to re-submit it, and it gives me the same dang error message and deny's my posting! Any ideas or suggestions as to why Im encountering these problems?
Using LG Optimus V
how come on my phone I can't post on some forums like XDA and others? I have javascript enabled. The pages look normal, but there are no new thread buttons.
umm just to make sure, you are logged into those forums that you want to post on right?

That was like the Evo while back. Try checkin the main menu or the settings for the browser.. They always have a option for it..
I tried this and set it to desktop
Type about:debug in the browser url box
go to 'Settings'
go to 'Debug'
Select UAString, and then check the 'Desktop' option
---
but I still can't post on forums I went to XDA site and signed in. I clicked general discussion and now I can't even click anything. Can't click general, questions and answers, etc. I refresh page 3 times, can't click any of them.
I tried my other site and I am logged in on that site, but I can't log out. I can't make new threads.

I am rooted but on the stock ROM using the default browser.
still need help
Umm.. can you post or create a thread on your PC? And did you tried using some other browser then your Default one?
And try resetting your browser to Default and Clear History, Cache, Cookies, and just give it a try.
If doesn't help, post back!

lol all my other posts are from PC.
I reset cache, cookies, and history on my phone's stock browser.
I was able to log onto XDA and sign and get to this section. There was a button for forum tools and in there was post new thread.
The other forum I am trying to post on does not have a forum tools button. I can login, but can't log out. I cannot reply and cannot post.
is it to do with my browser? I think other android users can do it.
do I need a special app for all forums to work properly?
What exactly is the xda app?
Ok, first off within your phones browser hit your menu button, find settings, and search through them with a fine tooth comb looking for anything that says mobile browsing with a check box or similar setting which would allow you to change between standard and mobile.
You can search the market for "xda" and either install the premium app for 1.49 and support our site, or use the free app. Then once installed just login and youre all set to browse and post via the app.

yep still having this problem.
I am on Dolphin HD now. Great browser, but I still can't post on some forums such as gamespot.com
I can post the title for the topic, but nothing in the subject area.
Since around an year this site doesn't open in firefox. No matter what subpage/forum on XDA I try to browse to the loading just never ends and the browser doesn't show anything. Opening a page in the XDA domain also doesn't let any other tab/window to load. The pages just sort of stop and I can't go to any webpage until and unless I close all tabs/windows trying to open a page on XDA. This doesn't happen on Chrome. Everything works fine there. Recently I switched to waterfox and this is still the case.
Any idea anyone why this is happening or a suggestion to rectify?
Weird cause XDA works fine here and i'm using Firefox.
Is it just me, or does anyone else have a problem with chrome crashing and freezing while browsing the xda forums? (From my desktop)
It works smoothly for me in chrome browser... try upgrading chrome

Had same problem. This worked for me:
http://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/chrome/7YefrdRfJx8[1-25-true]
Open up Google Chrome and in the address bar type - chrome://plugins/
You will then see a Details link over to the right-hand side of the page. Click the + and you’ll see a long list of the installed plugins in detail.
Look in the Flash section and find the line which has the text - \pepflashplayer.dll
Click the Disable link next to this line and restart the browser.

Just read up on what you told me to do, and did it. Thanks for the advice. I will see if it works for this site.
i've had that disabled for a while and i still get random crashes. not sure what to do
Happened to me again to. I added adfree or adblock for chrome and that finally did the trick for me.
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 4
Browser crashing is usually a result of bad script on a website or some kind of incompatibility.
I use Firefox more than Chrome and get less issues. However, I do have adblock plus addon, which obviously blocks ads, at the same time, causes less objects to load thus less problems, maybe ads could be causing your issues.
Try a different browser, works for me. Play offers many browsers to choose from.
Every time i connect to XDA forum and look for news on nexus 5 section, some random pop ups appear... One from XDA forum that tells me that my phone is infected with a virus, one that tells me that my browser is too slow and another that connect me to the play store to make me download an app!!!! I had a friend with a similar issue - I turned him on to HideNinja VPN and it helped him. It's the only thing I can think of that may help. I'd suggest closing all tabs for all browsers. Delete the browsers you can that you don't prefer to use. Restart the device, install https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cryptninja.vpn make sure the app is configured and running properly, then try running your browser. Make sure no alternate settings in your browser could be created jumbling or smashing. Give the "Desktop Version" of the site a try too.

Ok, about chrome i found out that cyanogenmod's browser is ten times faster!!! And for the ADS i wasn't aware that those were intrusive ADS(i thought that the option block popup was broken XD ), so i want to recommend all of you to do this http://www.hongkiat.com/blog/blocking-ads-in-android/ scroll down a bit and you'll find a tutorial to create an host file, normal ads aren't blocked but the intrusives one i noticed that this little file blocks them very well
