I'm glad that Huawei Honor is making this wonderful phone available with US LTE radio bands. I like Huawei. My first Android phone was an Ideos, which still works (has a removable battery) and serves as a simless VOIP phone in our detached workshop/craft room/gym. I'm still using my HAM 2 as my daily driver and plan on upgrading to this phone. (I don't mind the lack of NFC since I'm not wanting to do mobile payments.) Thank you Huawei for recognizing that many consumers in the US can't spend $1000 on a cell phone. I do think your high end phones rival Apple's and Samsung's high end phones. The price point is just too rich for my blood.

I LOVE how they release ANOTHER $200 phone! If I were looking for another phone, I would get one with wireless ac which this one doesn't have. I am a happy owner of the Honor5x and I won't be upgrading anytime soon. If I could Hug Huawei I would. When I do go looking for a phone, I will look at Huawei first and see what they got.

Does anyone feel like headphone jack is little bit loose or is it just in my piece?

Cable is good... I've tried it on other phones. It's just that in honor 7x it is not that tight as compared to other.... I'm not saying that cable falls off. I think my peice has the prob. Just verifying before returning.

ok,not good to hear

I am now a owner of an Honor 7x. I came from the Honor 5x. I had an option to upgrade, so I took advantage, otherwise I was happy with my 5x and had NO plans on upgrading. Having said that, this phone is INCREDIBLE!! Great smoothness, long battery life, long SOT. They have done it AGAIN with the fantastic hardware! With Oreo, I feel like they have fixed most all the issues that existed previously, I'm impressed. Previously I had shunned this thing for not having wireless AC. The truth is, wireless N standard will be around for YEARS to come.
These guys have the best phone out there period.

This phone was one of the best budget phones of it's class when it first launch. Very impressed with it.

Could be a great phone for Android flashers and enthusiasts, depending on the build quality. Best Part:
"but if you insist on trying other Android flavors on Xiaomi's hardware, then you'll be pleased to know that this phone lets you flash whatever firmware you like."
Update:

Looks very interesting and the price tag sounds good.
Waiting eagerly.
Does anyone know how to order it?
Ive been trying google to search how to order the phone (xiaomi m1 or miphone etc) cant find it. If you know how please post in this forum or pm me.
Cool, normal for beginners
This has potential. Looks really cool!
Very nice hardware, and a 1930mAh battery, thats impressive.
Looks too much like an Iphone though, which is sad, I wish more Android makers would try to create their own identity.
very cool phone I like it

To those who said it's a copy of the iPhone, let me tell you this, I watched the announcement video, I actually agree with their design philosophy. They said something like this: "No design will ever please everyone, so their decision is to have no design. So the goal becomes very simple, as long as the look is not irritating, it is a good design."
To me, the design looks more like a Nexus S's front + an HTC phone's back. It looks simple, but still pretty none the less.
Those who wonder how to purchase this phone, this is currently planned to be sold online from their official website only. I'm sure some will find ways to import it to other countries though.
What I like the most of this phone is the effort they put into making it the perfect phone. Large battery, antenna design, heat dissipation, screen readability under direct sun light, weekly ROM updates, totally unlocked, quality (survives being run over by a car http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XMjk2MjE4NTUy.html), etc. I actually think this phone is more exciting than the next Nexus phone, this is what the Nexus S should have been.

Though this phone has better hardware, it still a copycat. Not saw too much innovation.
i am look forward to see it
If it will available in India than what will be approximate price of this DRAGON???
LG OPTIMUS P500, mik's OS 2.3.4
Although there are similarities between the iPhone and this device, I still don't think it'2 "copied".
I really like the look and I am really, really looking forward to this phone, it's specs are phenomenal and for that price you will not find a better smartphone for sure!
This may be the one to replayce my beloved Desire! ;-)

I'm not sure about it being the most powerful android phone
Any news on how many they are willing to produce and sell?

Is this Phone wroth it?

I am from India ,Today i say the OnePlus One on amazon for a shocking price and wanted to buy it ,But when i came here Many people reported so many problems and I was afraid that something would have happened..
Actually I am a die hard music fan and listen to so many songs everyday ,i have read the headphone jack is not good and it might not work long ,Is it true or they are just false claims..
And actually i wanted to buy a laptop ,But when i say this device i was so much impressed ,But when i went to reviews i saw many cons and things ,So i got worried and finally landed here
So guys what you say is it wroth more than a lap for me?
And i have a Moto g 2014 now ,But the battery sucks and there is no development ..
Whats your reason to buy this phone?
(Sorry if i am in wrong section)
The phone is great. Like any electronic device sold around the world there are a few defective units, but the vast majority of these phones are perfectly fine. The problem is that if you do get a defective unit, the OnePlus customer service and RMA system is very bad (terrible). But, buying through Amazon should give you good customer protection so I think you should go for it.

The phone is totally worth.
I came from Nexus 5 and i have to say its on par or even better than N5. Moto G is not even in its league. Battery life is also good on OPO. It can easily last u a day with moderate usage. And as far as the defect is concerned there are very few defective ones, mine is perfectly fine and even if u receive a defective model u can return it back to Amazon they will refund u the whole amount.
I would say buy the OPO provided u have the invite with u, otherwise its a hard phone to get as invites are scares.
I truly love this phone. You simply can't beat this type of bang for your buck. I will say it is a bit if a gamble. If something turns out to be wrong with the phone, I hear the RMA process is horrible. However I believe that most of the new phones don't have that many problems. Luckily I have no problems at all with mine, the screen didn't even need uv for yellow tint.
Coming from a nexus 4, I love it. Screen is awesome, it's very snappy, and I get GREAT battery life compared to it. I can get almost 7 hrs sot. Also has 64gigs!

Don't listen to what others say about a product. Be the one to conclude your own opinions about the product. The headphone jack, there is no problems with it other than OnePlus using the reference design from Qualcomm for the headphone jack but there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Only problem would be that some headsets may not play nice with the phone but this is problems for all phones.
If you want a phone that is relatively cheap compared to the phone's competitors, development community for custom ROMs/Kernels then get the phone.
This phone has superb battery life, specifications at a very nice price.
Damm i got an invite , But i am like 4k short to OPO ,God i wanna buy this phone :crying::crying:
I got 43 hours left ****
Tell me fast should i buy?
I am ready now ,Just need a little more advice ..
Hope i get this after this post ..

Very nice phone.
Not the fastest, but not slow enough to be annoying.
Great looks and built quality. Below average camera.
No 5Ghz wifi are some serious amounts of points lost.
I like it not been any issues at all with it and i've come from an iPhone 7. It's no different to me for what i use it for and the battery life is about the same.

Thanks for saying that! that's a real killer for me, what else would you suggest around £250?
I love the phone. For me it does the job. I had an iPhone 5s (and several other iPhones) before my Wileyfox Swift 2 plus. I needed a new phone and for the first time i chose Android. I must say: i'm very glad with Android. I love it. And the most important thing: Wileyfox was in my budget (Apple was too pricey and still is...). Also the flagships, like Samsung and Sony, had prices far beyond what's normal for a phone you use for 1 or 2 years. And i really hate bloatware you cannot remove. So my Wileyfox is now 1 year old and i'm looking around for a replacement, but haven't seen a better alternative for the same price, so i'm keeping my Swift 2 plus till a better phone comes out with better specs. For now, i'm still very glad with my Swift 2 plus!!!
Little minors: camera (it does a great job when you absolutely don't move the phone while taking a picture), bluetooth reach is a just couple of meters, i miss 5 Ghz / ac Wifi, loudspeaker is so so.
Great things: price, robust phone, no bloatware, pure Android, Wileyfox is fast with updates, battery enough for 1 day, cpu/memory is fast enough for me, dual sim, fast charging.

LG Nexus 5X
well you know what they say about marmite...
I've had the swift 2x for just about a year now and I can tell you it a big steaming pile!!! The fingerprint scanner only works when it want's to and when it does work it unlocks to an off screen, the screen stays off (black) most of the time when I get calls, the touch screen won't work properly when it's on charge (it's that bad I can't use the phone when its charging) the camera is the worst (someone said bad in low light but I would call it bad in broad daylight!) And to top it all off we have wileyfox's customer service (which is run like they don't have a clue\wanna put themselves outa buidness) I reported all these problems to them so they had me pay a small fortune for recorded delivery to send it back for them to have it less than a day and do nothing else but factory reset it (which I did myself twice to try and fix the problem....it didn't work) when I receive the phone back it had even more faults and the screen protector that wileyfox's charged me £15 for was broken. and then we get to the icing on the cake, I chose the gold option cos they were out of the midnight blue, the phone turns up and it's frakking pink! I ask them about it and they suddenly start calling it champagne gold (nowhere, not on the site or on my receipt does it say champagne gold it just says gold) add all this together equals a very pissed off me stuck with a ~ £250 pink brick. Needless to say I WONT be recommending wileyfox's to ANYONE! (I mean come on, the dam phone doesn't even support otg for frakk sake)

Best Phone I have Ever Had But Last Purchase For OnePlus

As the title states this is one of the best phones i have ever used from the touch interface to the look and feel of the phone.
However looking at the oneplus 6t i will not be upgrading due to the loss of the 3.5 mm jack. I wonder how many of you feel the same?

for me i dont care i dont use it
but i wont upgrade
i dont see any improvment
an it has become ticker the new op6T
The Oneplus 6 was expensive but I somehow splurged since I wanted the headphone jack and an OLED screen on an SD845 phone ( I'd get a cheaper Xiaomi Mi 8 if I didn't need the jack ) .
But even though I plan to use the 6 for a long time simply because it's still around the top in performance, I won't buy another device from them. If I want a "jackless" phone, I can get a Mi 8 ( or the next Mi device ) for less money without sacrificing anything.
Oneplus went from a "flagship killer company" to a "what a flagship company should be".
Just because other companies charge hysterical amounts for, HONESTLY, toys which just have basic phone functions for the fun of it doesn't mean you should slowly creep the prices up higher even though the competition is keeping their prices reasonable ( a 100$ and in the future even bigger difference isn't a thing to scuff at ).
If the Mi 8 had a 3.5mm jack, it would be really hard to pick the Oneplus 6 without sentimental decisions especially when you'd take a look at the prices of both. Sure, the Oneplus 6 "has" water/splash resistance but you're doing it wrong if you expose a piece of tech to the risk of water damage in the first place.
In conclusion:
As much as I love the Oneplus 6, I don't think I'll buy another Oneplus phone. I don't judge anyone who will, it's just not my cup of tea.
If I hadn't already bought my OnePlus 6, I would seriously consider the 6T. Yes, I like having a real 3.5mm plug, but I like wireless charging even more.

Exactly, they're hoping the indisplay fingerprint will help sell the phone. There's nothing else going for it.

What a let down.
Same for me. I totally love the OP6, but with the loss of the headphone jack, I don't plan on getting another OnePlus phone
I have a ton of reference headphones that I use and I like to charge and listen, plus who wants to carry a boat load of dongles around. Might as well buy a iPhone. So I guess I'll be giving this a miss until they come to their senses.
I'm in the same boat as the thread OP. This is a fantastic phone, with few shortcomings. The 6T would be nice if it had headphones and wireless charging. Even one of them would be nice. But it won't and it will be more expensive, and therefore not worth it to me.
I use wireless headphones so no 3.5mm jack does not bother me and not really bothered about wireless charging, but is this seriously the only major things wrong with the device.
Please world...stop the "headphone" jack posts...

Eventaully all new phones will not have a head phone jack.
I guess the choice with the 6T is vs 6, is bigger batter 3700mah. I hardly ever use the headphone jack so the bigger battery is probably better imo.

The bigger battery compensates for a slightly bigger screen and in In-display fingerprint scanner, because the animation for unlocking the screen will surely eat some battery.
As for me, I really don't like and trust the new fingerprint scanner. I'm pretty sure the whole unlocking experience will be slower. So, the OP 6 is the perfect phone for me for the next few years. At least until in-display fps gains my trust.
I don't mind the lack of 3.5mm jack, I barely use it. An adapter is fine to me.
I honestly don't know why they made a 6t. There's nothing significant enough for people to upgrade. Even if they would have kept the 3.5, there's still nothing worth upgrading for. Bigger battery is the only draw but the current 3300 last quite some time.
They didn't build the 6T for 6 owners. In the end, there is no upgrade - same CPU, same RAM, and the same screen.
I do not understand this rush to switch smartphones. Now that the appliance is stable. The T version is released at the end of the year, soon will come devices with the sd855 chipset, frankly, does not pay.

OnePlus 6/6T VS OnePlus 7

With OnePlus about to release their most powerful device in just a few days, let see how many OnePlus 6/6T users are ready to upgrade to the latest model and how many users are thinking of spending some more sweet time with their current OnePlus handset.
N.B. Don't take this post in a different way. It's just for fun! We all know OnePlus 7 is more powerful than OnePlus 6/6T. This post was created just to see how many users are planning to upgrade and how many users are happy with their current model. So chill and give your vote or share your thought!!
I have the 256gb OP6. Personally I'm thinking of upgrading. This time I would likely go less on the storage as I now upload all my photos to Google Photos so never use anywhere near my full storage as I periodically delete the photos from my phone.

Based on the leaks I'm not sure it will have any of them. I've seen the OnePlus phones have a level of waterproofing but they just don't go through the certification. Not sure what they will do this time.
They won't come back from the decision to remove the headphone jack now and they have already spoken about not wanting to go down the wireless charge route because it's slower than wired charging.
If these are your must haves, I would look elsewhere.

90hz display doesn't catch your attention?
maybe it would on a large screen monitor, but on a 6 inch cell phone screen? not at all..
I've got the OP6. Will probably upgrade. Not sure if it will be the OP7 or the Pro. I'm concerned about the pricing. I'm hoping they're going to surprise us and keep it a little lower than the leaks are reporting.. When you've got an $800 phone you're basically going to compete with Samsung, Apple and Google. Yes OnePlus is going to lose some of their core supporters if they make this price jump... I'm on the fence.. Gotta see what both the OP7 is going to cost and what the base OP7 Pro costs.
OP's only advantage in the market place was great value for the price; if they decide to price like Apple/Samsung, and many others, it will be the beginning of the end for them. No wireless charging, no external storage, no water proof rating, nothing that you cant get from several other phones, so, that being said, pricing this thing as high as it seems they will, is a major fail..
Cult following wont continue at those prices..

so far from specs predictions oneplus7pro is trash phone,
without headphone jack (extremely important), wireless charging, waterproof ip68, and it seems like it will have moving parts (I'm very not sure about it, even I'm barely need front camera).
the only strong point to oneplus is third party devs support,
this one was the only reason me getting oneplus6.
well, I dont know if its "trash", especially since we dont even have one out to look at..
but, for the 800 dollars or so its supposed to be, without the above mentioned "features", its a no go, for alot of people..
I am, but that's only because my OP6 had an unfortunate meeting with the street and got run over. Otherwise, I was quite happy with the 6.
