Hi,
I wanted to change my rom to newest version of CarbonROM (7.x.x). I downloaded new rom, copied this onto my sd card, then I rebooted my phone to recovery where I wiped system, data, cache and dalvik. Later I flashed new rom from .zip file, everything went fine, so I rebooted my device and then I realized that it's not starting anymore. I was holding power button but there was only short vibration signal and anything more, when I connect my xperia z3 (d6603) to charger, only red light is blinking, when I'm trying to start device while it's connected to charger, red light is not blinking but it shines continously till I release power button. When I'm holding power and volume up there are only three short vibrations and that's all, they are repeating till I release buttons (this only happens when xperia is connected to charger or computer in other situation there is no response for power and volume up). Flashtool says that I have to install drivers, but they're already installed, device manager shows my phone as uknown device. But when I'm connecting my phone to computer, there is this specific sound from windows and flashtool shows that 'Device disconnected', when I'm disconnecting it. Is there any hope for my phone? Can I try anything more?
well try to enter fastbootmode and flash a recovery.
Similar issue here, I have a d6603 and after using GiefRoot & NUT's DualRecovery I succesfully entered TWRP and attempted to install CarbonROM (latest: device-z3 on the official website)
Now my phone won't boot until I re-flash an older version of stock... any help would be greatly appreciated!
1. Followed this guide: xda's Z3 forum: guide-rootrecovery-how-to-root-install-t3017056
2. boot into recovery, turn off zip verification
3. install CarbonMOD's zipfile
What'd I miss? :S

1.Download and install Flashtool on your PC.
2.Download the firmware you need (from the list below) and move it into the directory C:/Flashtool/firmwares
3.Open Flashtool, click on the lightning symbol ("flash device"), select "Flashmode" and click on "OK"
4.Just select the name of what you downloaded and click on "Flash"
5.Wait for a window to pop up (it may take a few minutes, be patient)
6.Now everything is ready: turn off your phone
7.Push the volume-down button, keep pushing and connect to your PC
8.Once the flashing process has started, release the volume rocker as soon as possible
9.NEVER disconnect the USB cable until it's finished!!!
10.Turn on and enjoy!

Phone will not switch on ...
Tried unlocking the boootloader following instructions from the Sony website,
after "sucessfully" unlocking the bootloader in flashboot mode the phone got stuck in a boot loop.
Eventually stopped the phone boot looping by pressing all the buttons at the same time, have now found out it is the two volume buttons and the power button, then the phone did not switch on at all, tried connecting and holding volume button etc, to USB but all that comes up in device manager is "unknown device" and the flash tool does not recognise it in any mode, found out that holding the power button down for five minutes reboots the phone. Then flashed with above firmware and ended up in another bootloop, holding the up volume and power button makes the phone vibrate once then three times, let go after one and then you can get into flashmode, this time I flashed the latest firmware from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2762296 and it worked.

Help please?
Hi man, I need your help urgently... I tried flashing kernel image to my Xperia M2 D2303, but I got impatient as recovery mode wasn't coming on and I did in in fastboot mode instead. Now it's stuck on boot loop and the screen only flashes. I can't get it to connect to my computer either, my computer just doesn't recognize it anymore. So, I can't flash anything on to it to recover it now either, and I tried putting files into my SD card to restore from but those files won't show when I try to download from zip using Clockwork Mod. What should I do?
Update
I tried to flash a custom rom into it, but even though I remember turning USB debugging on, it seems it's off. And plus, the drivers link you gave don't include the Xperia m2 drivers.
It would not connect to Flash modehttp://dl-1.va.us.xda-developers.com/2/9/8/5/4/7/8/NewPicture002.jpg?key=xzdzp41r6BQtbbijWRPtQA&ts=1414307092
Could You please update link for :

can't download file, please help
Thank You
I've been trying to get my Z3 into flashmode for about an hour now. Everything else works fine - phone boots into Android or recovery with no problems. But flashmode just doesn't work - when flashtool prompts me, I hold the volume down button while plugging in the USB cable, and I get a red LED for a fraction of a second, then a green one for an even smaller fraction of a second, then the LED goes off, then the red one comes back, and so on, over and over until I release the button, at which point it just boots into Android normally.
I've updated flashtool, reinstalled the drivers that come with flashtool, deactivated my antivirus, installed the latest companion software from the Sony website, and updated Java.
My bootloader is unlocked and I'm running the RSXW Marshmallow ROM with dual recovery.
Currently downloading a rooted stock .zip, will wipe data and flash to see if that helps. Any other advice anyone?
I already had a Cyanogen ROM on my Xperia Z5 and was browsing the forum here and saw a Paranoid android ROM so I wanted to try that. I had CWM recovery on it, went into recovery and wiped the necessary parts. Then flashed the rom zip and the gapps. After that I rebooted but the phone kept shutting down and only blinking a red light.
So I connected it to my computer and put it in Flash mode, used Flashtool to put it back to stock. While stock was being flashed on it and halfway it gave an error (which I don't remember) and the phone booted. I assumed it was correct, it gave the white screen with the 'Sony'. After that came a black screen with the 'update failed, please connect to a computer'.
This screen is on for half a second. Then the screen turns off and the same process begins with the sony and then error. This keeps looping when charging or connected to a computer. The Xperia Companion doesn't help and I can't get it in flash mode of fastboot. It is hardbricked and what should I do?
If you need more information I'd be happy to provide it asap.
Edit: It's the same problem with as this thread only the solutions provided won't work

Thanks for the reply and helping me find a way out!
However, when the phone is off and I hold the power button and volume up noting happens at all. This combination only works if I want to shut the phone down.
And I don't think the problem is within the firmware but within the device, because you have to enter flash mode to use Flashtool and the phone won't enter flash mode (or fastboot) anymore. I can't flash anything atm.
No luck here on xda or anywhere on the internet. So I'm sending it to sony hoping they can fix it....
Hello everybody!
I recently wanted to use a custom rom..
So I Flashed the stock firmware the .291 build. after that I wanted to flash twrp recovery.
So I downgraded the kernel to ,575 then flashed the recovery file, and from the recovery I flashed the Existenz rom (.291 based).
Then I rebooted the device,, Unfortunately I got a boot loop on SONY logo.
So I reflashed the stock firmware (.291) throw flashtool. but flash didn't complete,,, and I got boot loop again.
after that I DON'T KNOW why I flashed the .575 kernel.. Flash completed,, phone turned off
then it's COMPLETELY DEAD.. no signs of life
I tried every power- volume combinations, but I got no vibrations nor leds. and the charging sign doesn't appear when connecting the device to a power supply.
I only hear the connection sound when I connect the device to the computer and press volume down + power button for 10 secs, but it shows nothing on computer!
Any help would be appreciated
Your best bet if it shows no sign of life is to charge for a few hours to make sure it has enough battery.
Hopefully the red light comes on at some point. Either way try leaving it plugged in for a few hours.
Then you can try flashing again.
Ensure all the drivers are properly installed for flashtool.
Ensure you have the correct ftf for your device!
Start flash mode for a full .291 ftf and plug the phone in while holding down the volume down button as normal.
Try this repeatedly until you get a connection.
Alternatively you can wrap a very tight rubber band around the volume down key and connect it while flashtool is in flashmode.
If you're lucky a connection will be made and flashtool will have time to flash the firmware.
Persistence is key here. Many times a brick can be saved but it can take a long time.
Good luck and I hope it works
keep it on charge overnight.flash again when led turns on
Good day everyone,
I have been facing a huge problem in the past weeks after I have done one mistake.
I was installing a newer version of TWRP recovery and instead of installing the image I installed it as zip.
My OS was gone, I couldn't get it to "recover" my OS in any way. The kernel seems fine.
I have tried to use a micro SD and USB cable to install a new ROM but TWRP couldn't detect my SD card and my PC couldn't connect to my phone.
I also wiped my whole data.
My phone doesn't boot in the recovery unless it's not charging and start with ONLY pushing the power button.
Holding power and volume up will make it vibrate 3 times and restart.
Charging the phone makes it stuck on the android logo after the battery status.
The phone overheats and the battery drains extremely .
The only message I got from TWRP is, "No OS installed".
Other logs are inaccessible or wiped.
I would appreciate any advice
Thanks in advance!
1. Turn off your phone
2. Enter the phone Flashmode by holding the volume down button, then connect to a PC (the led should be green and your PC should recognize your Z5).
3. Flash the FTFs in Flashtool.
Information about how to that can be found on this forum.

This might help.
