1.Download and install Flashtool on your PC.
2.Download the firmware you need (from the list below) and move it into the directory C:/Flashtool/firmwares

4.Just select the name of what you downloaded and click on "Flash"
5.Wait for a window to pop up (it may take a few minutes, be patient)
6.Now everything is ready: turn off your phone
7.Push the volume-down button, keep pushing and connect to your PC
8.Once the flashing process has started, release the volume rocker as soon as possible
9.NEVER disconnect the USB cable until it's finished!!!
10.Turn on and enjoy!

Phone will not switch on ...
Tried unlocking the boootloader following instructions from the Sony website,
after "sucessfully" unlocking the bootloader in flashboot mode the phone got stuck in a boot loop.
Eventually stopped the phone boot looping by pressing all the buttons at the same time, have now found out it is the two volume buttons and the power button, then the phone did not switch on at all, tried connecting and holding volume button etc, to USB but all that comes up in device manager is "unknown device" and the flash tool does not recognise it in any mode, found out that holding the power button down for five minutes reboots the phone. Then flashed with above firmware and ended up in another bootloop, holding the up volume and power button makes the phone vibrate once then three times, let go after one and then you can get into flashmode, this time I flashed the latest firmware from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2762296 and it worked.

Help please?
Hi man, I need your help urgently... I tried flashing kernel image to my Xperia M2 D2303, but I got impatient as recovery mode wasn't coming on and I did in in fastboot mode instead. Now it's stuck on boot loop and the screen only flashes. I can't get it to connect to my computer either, my computer just doesn't recognize it anymore. So, I can't flash anything on to it to recover it now either, and I tried putting files into my SD card to restore from but those files won't show when I try to download from zip using Clockwork Mod. What should I do?
Update
I tried to flash a custom rom into it, but even though I remember turning USB debugging on, it seems it's off. And plus, the drivers link you gave don't include the Xperia m2 drivers.

It would not connect to Flash modehttp://dl-1.va.us.xda-developers.com/2/9/8/5/4/7/8/NewPicture002.jpg?key=xzdzp41r6BQtbbijWRPtQA&ts=1414307092

Could You please update link for :

can't download file, please help
Thank You

bricked huawei g730

hello there,
I have huawei g730-u10
"MTK6582, quadcore cortex A7, 1GB Ram, 4GB Rom"
last week, I was trying to install a CWM recovery using "mobile uncle" app. after it finished , a prompt for restarting appears and I pressed "yes".
it was the last time seeing my phone alive!!! it restarts to huawei logo for about 20 seconds and restarts again and again and again....
unfortunately my device doesn't have a rom online, even on HUAWEI website, so, I downloaded a similar phone ROM "hdc-s5-gold" to use its preloader, cache, boot , etc
the problem is when I connect the phone to SP flashtools the red bar appears and then it holds for seconds and a message with connection loss appears while the phone is going in its infinite restart.. so the flashtools seems to find the phone for a while but fails to write to it thanks to power loss.
notes:
1. I have tried many flashtool versions
2. I have tried with and without battery connection, and with and without volume up holding.
3. the phone can't access to CWM, download mode or factory reset mode.
4. the drivers are installed shows: "MT65xx preloader" and I think there is no driver problem
5. even when I connect the phone to charger, it keeps restarting and the charging logo doesn't appear
I appreciate any help
SP log files attached
thanks

Universal unbrick guide:
Terminology - types of bricks:
Soft brick - often occurs in the shape of a bootloop or any other problems with booting such as always getting to recovery or not getting past the carrier logo. This type of a brick, which shows some signs of life, can in most cases be fixed.
Hard brick - As the name implies, your phone can essentially used as a brick and it shows no signs of life. This kind of a brick is rare and in theory should be unfixable. However there are advanced methods of fixing your phones such as JTAG, but they require extra tools and accessories.
The decision:
Is my phone soft or hard bricked?
If you answer yes to all of the questions below you probably have a hard birck:
Test as said in order!
Nothing happenes when you hold or press the power button
You cannot get the screen to even turn on by pressing or holding any combination of buttons on your phone
Nothing happenes if you do the same as about but with your phone plugged into a charger
Nothing happenes when you plug your phone into a computer
When you plug in your phone into a computer it does not recognize it as a phone, storage or any other media device
Nothing happenes when you try all of the above again, but with removing the battery in between steps for 10 seconds and putting it back in again
Nothing happenes when you try all of the above again, but after leaving the phone plugged into a charger for 2 hours
If all of the questions are a "yes", then you either have a broken charging port and and a discharged battery or you have a hard brick.
The unbricking:
There are many methods of unbricking and they are all different to each phone. Here I will list the most common methods that often succeed.
Samsung users skip to 4. method.
1. If you have access to a stock recovery:
Method 1:
1. Shut down / turn off your phone.
2. Boot into Recovery mode – hold down the volume down button and then hold the power button (the button combination is different for every phone. Look yours up on Google)
3. Use volume keys to navigate the menus, and power button to select the menu items (Again, might be different for every phone)
4. Choose “Wipe Cache Partition”.
5. Choose “Wipe Data / Factory Reset” to delete all your settings and apps, using the correct ROM.
6. Reboot your device.
Method 2:
Download the stock rom for your phone. It should be in ".zip" format. Make sure it's the official version
(Find it by Googling something like "[your phone model] stock rom")
Put the file on your phone's external SD card.
Make sure that the rom is for your exact phone model.
4. Select "apply update from external storage"
5. Navigate to the zip file you copied to your phone
6. Install it.
If you get Status Error 7 that means you didn't download an official stock rom.
2. If you have access to a custom recovery:
Method 1:
Try stock recovery method 1
Method 2:
1. Find a stable custom rom for your phone or if you want to download the stock rom
Make sure that the rom is for your exact phone model.
2.. Copy the zip file to the phone's external SD.
3. Install the zip
(If you have a custom recovery you probably know the drill)
3. If you have access to fastboot mode:
First install ADB and fastboot drivers (if you haven't already):
To install it on windows there is a handy tool called the 15 Second ADB installer which will install pretty much everything you need.
On Ubuntu install with:
Code:
sudo apt-get install android-tools-adb android-tools-fastboot
On Fedora:
Code:
sudo dnf install android-tools
On OS X using Homebrew:
Code:
brew install android-platform-tools
Once you have the drivers installed you have to find a recovery image for your phone to install a custom recovery.
You can try one of the popular recoveries such as CWM or TWRP.
You need to get the recoveryNameHere.img file for your phone.
Find it by Googling:
"[your phone model] TWRP recovery"
or
"[your phone model] CWM recovery"
Make sure that the recovery is for your exact phone model.
Now on your phone enter fastboot mode:
Turn your phone off.
You can try different button combinations. For my phone it's holding power and volume down buttons.
Once you're in fastboot mode plug your phone into a computer and open your terminal/cmd.
Type in:
Code:
fastboot devices
You should see a list of devices. There should be only one device ID number.
If you see the ID it's working. If you don't you didn't install the Google USB driver properly (on Windows) and if it says "'fastboot' is not a recognized command" or "No command 'fastboot' found" then you didn't even install your drivers.
If you have problems with installing Google "how to install adb and fastboot drivers"
Now that you know fastboot is working type in:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery C:\Path\To\Recovery.img
Replace "C:\Path\To\Recovery.img" with an actuall path of the recovery file you downloaded.
It should say success.
If it doesn't try to execute:
Code:
fastboot oem unlock
This will delete all data you had on your phone (games, game progress, apps...).
Now try
Code:
fastboot flash recovery C:\Path\To\Recovery.img
again.
Once you're done type in:
Code:
fastboot reboot
And your phone should still not work. Now what you have to do it try the custom recovery method above (number 2.)
4. If you have a Samsung device:
Try this tutorial of unbricking with Odin: click here

HELP! ROM Manager bricked my O3D - Is it fixable?

NOTE: Before we start, I have now googled it and in hindsight I probably should of left RM alone!
Anyway as the title states my O3D seems totally goosed! I selected the recovery flash in ROM Manager for P920, it rebooted and all it does now is show the logo for a second, vibrate then off. I tried the usual tutorial stuff...
Power button, Vol up battery in - it comes up 'USB Device Unrecognised' and then It also keeps popping up 'Unknown Device' however when I click on properties every entry is 'Unavailable'
Power button, Vol Down, battery in does nothing (tried it a million times)
If I do...
Power button, Vol up then apply the battery - Device Manager finds... 'LG Mobile USB Modem', 'MAP SMS' (Other Devices) and 'LGE Mobile Composite USB Device'
No sign of OMAP44xx so the flash tools don't see it... strangely LG Mobile Support Tool sees the phone and tries to update it however it says it has the latest firmware, when I use the update recover option it gets to 15% but then complains that it can't communicate with the phone.
Is it dead? :crying:
Any help would be much appreciated.
dont worry. its not dead. has happened to my phone a trillion times ..
all you need to is try as below:
1. without connecting phone to usb first hold down 3d button then volume down and keep pressing power untill it starts up and then off again , then release all 3 together as it is off and repeat (remember first 3d then volume down and then power). this time just let the power button go on lg logo but keep pressing the other 2.
2. if this doesnt work, then easiest method - download omap4boot for optimus v1.21 or all in one p920 v1.3 by XDA, remove battery, only press down the volume up button and while pressing connect usb. make sure you hear 1 ding of connect , 1 dong of disconnect then 2 dings of connect. after this the ding dong should end .. if you have all drivers installed , then it will install omap drivers. a window will pop up and everything will have a green check. once it does that you can install a custom recovery twrp or cwm using fastboot . boot into recovery and flash a rom.
still if doesnt work, have patience, post a reply and will tell other steps to proceed with .....
Thanks for your time RVBSD, unfortunately (although I will keep trying!)
In No. 1 - I get the first logo, but when I re-apply the 3D/V and power, I don't get the second logo.
In No.2 - I get the first ding/dong then just 1 ding, no sign of Mr OMAP! - I'll keep trying though.
Once u get the second ding and then this music stops, Open device manager. Look for lg usb modem and disable it. Then look for omap44 something. The device manager may be refreshing quickly. Somehow i had a chance to right click on omap device and chose update driver. Select manual and choose omap.inf from the folder that u have to download as per my previous reply. Restart computer and check again.
Alternatively you can install all inf manually, right click and install, before connecting the device.
Let me know
Sent from my LG-P920 using xda app-developers app
Again, thanks again for your input but I am still no further. I manually clicked the inf and it said it installed fine... but nothing changed in Device Manager. I then attempted to 'force' the driver on the unknown device, however after it installed it returned a 'Code 10' error... unable to start.
Even tried the service software 'LGNPST' but it couldn't even connect to the port! ho-hum...
i tried it again. even on my computer it didnt take the omap drivers this time.... strange .....
but i could install fastboot, then installed cwm recovery . then flashed a rooted rom and its working ...
1. Turn off your Phone, pull out battery.
2. download omap4boot-for_optimus-v1.21 (run "start_fastboot.bat" (it will wait until phone connected)
3. connect phone with USB cable without battery, the usbboot will start
4. insert battery while the usbboot is waiting, it gives 5 secs only
5. unplug USB cable the LG logo will appear with fastboot on top
6. download the attached files to your desktop and extract
7. open cmd and in cmd navigate to fastboot.exe location, where ever downloaded
8. run fastboot.exe from cmd and choose the cwm file to be pushed to your phone
command : fastboot -s flash recovery recovery-clockwork-6.0.1.9-p920.img
9. reboot device into recovery , try to wipe cache and factory reset and try to reboot
if this works it will take you to existing installed rom, then you can reboot to recovery and flash Su_Bbox_1.20.2_gazhead_signed.zip to root it
10. else copy a custom rom to sd card , insert in the mobile , reboot into recovery and flash the cutom rom
PLease help
CAn you tell me how can mount recovery partition

[Q] Restoring stock ROM & entering flashmode

Using CM12 Lollipop ROM and Thunderzap 4.7 kernel. I want to return to stock ROM, so I tried flashing it via both Sony PC Companion repair and Flashtool. However, no matter whether I press Vol Up or Vol Down during the boot, it always enters Recovery. Any way I could access Flashmode? Or am I missing some step I should do before attempting to flash?
1st you have to read document about flashing properly. Read twice. You must not start phone after switch off it. Just start flashtool on PC. And you have to press volume down button and insert USB cable simultaneously. Don't switch on your phone. It will led your phone into flash mode. Green light will blink once in notification light area.

Hi,
I want to falsh stock rom on my Xperia L (Unlocked bootloader)
But while using flashtool I am stuck on flashmode. I tried removing phone holding vol down button and then connected to PC but flashtool is still showing the same window of connecting in flashmode
I have installed the ADB drivers correctly. dont know what to do next
When Flashtool asks to connect your device, be sure that you phone is powered off (for at least 30 seconds) then press Volume down and connect the USB cable. Release Volume button when Flashtool starts to work.

Sony Xperia Z3 HARD BRICKED

Hi. My device is hardbricked. I see no lights while charging. Flashtool doesn't see my device.how can i fix this?
Edit:Easily fixed it.I plugged my device into the computer.I entered platform-tools and flashed boot.img.I saw "waiting for device" And i pressed volume up and power buttons. Suddenly boot flashed and i recovered my phone
You are very unlikely to have hard bricked it unless you have unlocked the boot and flashed something wrong.
If you did this please help us help you by telling us what you did just before this happened.
Also, just leave the phone on charge (Wall charger) for 24 hours and then see what happens.
In the mean time read this
solution for no LEDs no response no fastboot devices.
Take two rubberbands one to hold down the power button and one to hold down the volume up button on Xperia Z3 dual. I spent a lot of time figuring this out. Alter a few minutes the phone just booted up from the dead. It worked for me 3 times. Now if someone can tell me how to fix the fastboot remote command not allowed error I'll be happy.

Hello
I had the same problem with REMOTE COMMAND NOT ALLOWED till i managed to solve it.
1st thing you need to clean that ANDROID folder you made on C: drive.Install all from the begining including flashtool.Boot windows to install unsigned drivers. In the flash tool folder youll find the driver downloader, just enable usb debugging and choose Mass Storage not MTP .; You have 4 options usb debug on/off and usb connectivity MTP or Mas Storage ;with every version selected connect and disconnect from pc with flashtool running.
When you use Fastboot start the flashtool and close it if it cant kill ADB (that assuming you succeeded in installing drivers).
Good Luck

Try a different driver package from another download source and use another usb on your pc.
Maybe it works. If your device can enter flash mode it definitely can be recovered.

The green led indicates flash mode so the problem is probably on your PC not detecting it properly. Does it show up in the system manager of windows if you plug it in at all? (Like a new device/android with a yellow triangle)
You could also try to fastboot a recovery and flashing a ROM from there. Not sure if it works but that's what I would try.
i m not even able to fastboot a recovery ...tried twrp and cwm both of them...
Me too
in my phone after charging 24h, only the red LED blinks, this is not normal any suggestions?
--------------edit
ok another week and still nothing
maybe I'll describe the problem:
I wanted to upload clean soft 5.1.1 and flash it
after the phone turned off it's start in recovery i used zip with SU and the phone turned off with no respond i try too reset (vol- + vol+ + power) but no reaction
there were no three vib
so I found that you have to reset the button under the sd flip
after this treatment you already know the charging of 3 days and only the red LED blinks
So any suggestions??

I‘m having the same problem, I can’t open my Xperia Z3. I tried with holding on/off button, holding volume up and on/off button, holding volume down and on/off button. When I connect it to PC, nothings happen. No vibrates, no led on, no screen on. What should I do?

Like you I have a Xperia Z3 mines the 6633 variant.. Signs were showing it to be hard bricked, for example:
No led charge indication!
No power led!
No fastboot leds!
No USB detection sound when plugging into windows.
Literally a Z3 that was essentially a glass brick I bought off ebay for £6.50 GBP for spares/repair.
Since I had a bricked device, I had nothing to loose.
I applied heat to the rear glass with a hair drier & removed the panel, I removed the battery ribbon cable & plugged in via USB only to find the phone would show LEDs so put it on charge.
The Z3 now goes into flash mode, so then re-flashed a stock ROM from flashtool. I did a apps log & user data wipe, cust reset & fota reset.
To date I have no idea why the phone would not take a charge before or even detect via USB, though Id say give this method a go, you may be surprised!!
Good luck

How do I fix my OnePlus One’s bootloop?

Greetings of the day,
Hello everyone, I'm having a oneplus one 64GB phone that is not getting start, everytime i connect it with the charger it goes into a bootloop. Yes the phone was rooted and I was using a custom ROM with the default kernel. The issue started when I tried to reset the phone to battery settings. I think I somehow messed the kernel and now it is stuck in bootloop. The problem is that I can't connect it to my computer or put it in debug mode as it just restarts again. Any idea how to actually boot it so I can install the kernel and ROM again?

No, My phone is not getting on but whenever i am connecting it with my charger the phones goes in the Bootloop, and when i am connecting it to My PC while pressing Volume Up + Power Button Pc shows that the Unrecognized devices has been connected.
And i think phone is Hard Bricked. I have tried ADB software and one plus 1 drivers manually but it didn't worked too. I have tried minimal ADB too but it also didn't work.
Kindly let me know about it.

Volume UP + Power should boot in fastboot mode. Volume Down + Power should boot into recovery. First, try to boot recovery.

I have tried both, but nothing happens with it, Volume UP + Power shows the unrecognizable device is connected and Volume Down + Power does nothing it continues with bootloop .
Have you got Developer Options enabled?
Goto About Phone & Tap Build Number until Developer Options is activated. Goto Developer Options> Advanced Restart & enable the switch.
Press power button->Restart->Recovery.
It will now boot into Recovery.
Also have you tried keeping hold of power button whilst it bootloops. Keep holding the power button until it powers off. Then press Volume Down & Power Button to power back up (you might see a slight flicker onscreen that means it should go into Recovery mode). Keep hold of these buttons until you gain Access to Recovery Mode.
This will allow you to Recover or flash a different ROM.
If you're having issues connecting to a computer (Windows) try downloading Windows Media Center for your version of Windows. This will install media drivers to recognize your phone.. If all went well you will get the pop up with A0001 (Codename of OnePlus One). From there you should be able to enter fastboot mode through ADB.
If this doesn't help you, I'm sure that someone else will untangle the puzzle to get your device in good working order buddy. Good Luck.

This has got to be some sort of World Record for resurrecting an old post from over five years ago. Congratulations on that achievement!
Did you just join to post that?
Lol.
