Which folio case do you guys like better? - Nexus 6P Accessories

So I have several cases left over from when I originally owned the 6p about a year ago now. I'm leaning towards the brown one over the Red but the brown is so thick that I can hardly use the fingerprint sensor. Oh and they both have a landscape feature to use on each of them. Which do you like best?

anyone have the otterbox?

Like the title says...Anyone have the otterbox for their moto x?
Wondering if all the sensors work fine etc...
Im a big otterbox commuter fan...wish theyd make one for the moto x...
Getting mine by Thursday. Been an OtterBox guy for years! My only concern sight unseen is the holster. Unlike all holsters before it, it does not have the upper (if attached horizontally) thumb release/hold down. There are 4 tabs on case itself and the holster has 4 full corners that the phone sits into. That may be a challenge to release especially 1 handed. I can let you know what I think when it arrives. Yes, it's the Defender model as that's all OtterBox offers. According to the pics, all mics should have holes and sensors do too.
I've had my otterbox for a couple of weeks now. Everything seems to work fine. I personally don't like the built in screen protector, feels like it doesn't quite sit flush against the screen
Supposedly mine will be delivered today. I'll try and get shots and thoughts of it like a mini review.
Ok so, I put it on last night. No issues with sensors. The hole for the upper mic is there. It's got a nice tactile feel but it does bulk up the in hand experience. I've always been partial to the Defender no matter the device. Have one on my Note 3 as a matter of fact. Let me see about some photos to post.

Seidio - Lookey Here!

Sure, it's just a placeholder, but they've been on Twitter recently saying some time this month, and this wasn't there yesterday.
I need me a Surface case!
I used the Seido Surface case on my previous few phones (Nexus 5, Galaxy S3, and HTC Thunderbolt) but sadly for the 6P i'll be sticking with the spigen rugged armor simply because Seido took way too long to put something out.
I don't see anything.

That's the point, it's a placeholder for the Nexus 6P, which suggests that they have a product in the pipeline for it.

If your on mobile the placeholder doesn't show up. Request the desktop page and its there.
I might get one to add to my review OP depending on which models they release
I have been (not so patiently) waiting for this. I love Seidio cases, and will get something. Hope the Dilex is one of the first released.
Need it bad, with holster! Phone is to big for my pocket. I have had seidio for all of my phones. Rock solid!!!
Seidio makes a great product. I've had their cases on all of the phones I've had.

I've had Seidio Surface cases/holsters on my last two phone and I really liked them. I hope Seidio brings them out for the 6P. I contacted them last month and they replied that they would have a case out this month. Tick Tock, Tick Tock....
Well, the Surface in red, black and blue are now available and shipping. Combo (with the holster) and the bare holster are coming soon. So if you want the case alone, you can get it today.
You're linking to the wrong page, they have the Surface available now: http://www.seidioonline.com/mobile/Category.aspx?id=9674

Can anyone come out with a belt clip that's not ugly as hell?
It says that they are using a new design with a tpu inside the polycarbonate. I wonder if that will help with the accidental scratching that some users have reported when sliding the case off of other models?

same, i'm done with seidio. i swore i'd never use any other case, but they took way too long with this one. i'll stick with my iblason case, which thus far has been flawless
Thinking about getting one of these because I love having a kickstand but most kickstand cases seem to be bulky and/or ugly. Still concerned this will have a lot of thickness, can anyone compare how it feels to perhaps a Spigen case? I have the Spigen Rugged Armour and love it except the lack of a kickstand. Thanks.

I will when it arrives; the tracking hasn't updated beyond stating 'label created' so far.

Be interested in hearing your thoughts on the Surface/holster Pilz.
I had one for my Droid Razr and really liked it, but got tired of waiting on Seidio and bought the i-Blason. It's working out pretty well so far.
I may still get the Seidio, but I'd like to hear how the holster/clip handles the larger phone.

Problem with the kickstands from Seidio is that they don't put them in the middle and they don't make them flush. I've complained about it for years but they never change it. Why does this matter? With the kickstand that far down, your phone tips over if you hit the table it is on, or if you tap your device on the opposite side. Even worse, since the phone doesn't lay flat (the hump holds that side of your phone up), it often makes your orientation flip to portrait when you are looking at it landscape.

Agreed, took way too long, too few color options, and they picked THIS case instead of the Dilex? From what I've read lately their holster clips are still extremely fragile, so I'm still not going back.
I ordered mine, received it today and having issues. When the bottom piece of the outer shell slides on the screen goes dark. Cannot turn it back on. If I slide off the bottom piece it comes on, when it slides back on it puts the screen back to sleep. If i take a stand alone magnet and put it up to the back of the phone where the kick stand would be it turns off. Thinking there is a design flaw. Gonna call Seidio tomorrow. Kinda sucks I've been waiting for their holster for a while now.
Edit: Definitley a design flaw, I found this on Google's Nexus 6P help forum:
"I have found there is a magnetic sensor in the Nexus 6P to detect when the folio case cover has been closed so as to lock and turn off the screen of the phone. The sensor is located in the bottom left corner when looking at the front of the 6P. I found that this sensor also reacts to a magnetic field applied to the back side of the Nexus 6P in this same area (bottom right corner when looking at the back of the 6P). Herein lies the problem... When trying to use Android Beam through NFC by holding the back of the 6P to the back of another device, a magnetic field from the other device (the speaker perhaps) can trigger the magnetic sensor in the Nexus 6P, causing the Nexus 6P to lock and go to sleep before the NFC sensors have aligned. Both my OnePlus One and my Neuxs 7 2013 will put my Nexus 6P to sleep if I don't hold them carefully enough when trying to align the NFC sensors. Can anyone else confirm this? Why does this sensor also pick up magnetic fields on the back of the phone? Is there a way to disable the magnetic sensor if not using a folio case so this does not happen when trying to use Android Beam?"

Dual Phone Case That Fits the 6P

Hello,
I recently started a job that requires me to carry around a work phone. My work phone will be a Galaxy S6.
I've tried carrying around 2 belt holsters in the past and it went very poorly. If I put them on both sides it looks dorky as hell, if I put them next to each other it's a hassle to carry. I've seen there are several dual phone holsters (leather pouch types) but none that seem big enough for the 6p. I can't even find one for the iPhone 6s which is surprising.
Does anyone have any recommendations? I'd prefer a vertical one as the first horizontal holster I had only lasted about 2 weeks, which I assume is a combination of being cheaply made and not having enough support on the sides due to the phone's length. I also prefer leather (or faux leather) as opposed to nylon.
Thanks for your suggestions.

Any Flip Case that doesn't suck

I turned my old OnePlus X for this lovely beast. In the OnePlus, I had a really nice flip case but the Essential doesn't have good quality cases. Does someone know of any decent flip case?
Yes, my wife has been running a teal flip style case in her PH-1 for almost two years now. Magnetic closure, and works as a stand.

Official Oneplus case - OnePlus 8 Pro Bumper Case Karbon - Stay away from it.

This case should be no more than $12.
The only positive is it has good lip protection in the front. Otherwise, it's flimsy, very little rear camera protection and its a little slippery in the hand.
Oneplus has it going for $39.95. Way overpriced
https://www.oneplus.com/product/oneplus-8-pro-karbon-bumper-case
Side note, their Nylon cases are usually pretty good but not available for the pro version
It's the best case for 7 Pro series. Not great but enough protection, very thin, satin feel. I didn't find any better and I tested many of them (running premium mobile accessories store)
I will second DforDesign. I love the Karbon case on my 7 pro. It looks alright, but what i like is the slim feel of the phone. Perfect for anyone that wants a slim case that fits like a glove.
But i also agree that the price could be lower, but maybe you get what you paid. I've been rocking the case for circa a year now, but i see 0 signs of use. It looks like the day i've got it.
It's your opinion. You can hate it but why did you convince people to hate it too? Karbon is hand down the best case in term of design and feel in hand that OnePlus made.
I bought the bundle with three cases: The silicone case, the blue sandstone case and the carbon case. Although I think the carbon case looks nice it's surprisingly slippery so I've opted to use the blue sandstone one which matches the glacial green color of the phone better (someone at oneplus must be colorblind as it's more blue than green imho). It also isn't slippery (more like sandpaper).

It's called "cyan", which is a blue colour. I don't think anyone's referred to it as green?

Wait what? The official color of the phone is called "glacial green". :silly: I was talking about the phone, not the case.
I like the carbon case actually
I have ordered the carbon one from Latercase instead - looks much better than the Oneplus one - has cutouts for the buttons so you dont have to press rubber - plus covers all the gaps so you cant see any phone colour through the case

Pitaka will soon release their case with support for MagEZ mounts.
I must agree, the case is really not. Received mije today, unfortunately bought it over ebay classifiedsan can't return it.
First of all, it has sharp edges on the outside around the camera on the right. Maybe others can confirm this.
Second, at the top right corner right to the speeaker, the rubber coating has a small failur you directly look on, when looking on the screen.
Last thing i'm not happy about, is, that it has no rubber coating or anything soft on the inside. Depending the fact the used kevlar ist harder than the glass on the back of the phone, it will scatch the phone.
I must say, i expected a lot more, when ordering something which costs in production less than 5 USD for 40 Euros, which are around 42 USD.
Maybe some of you could give their first experienced with that case.
Greetings.
Here, in addition to my post, are the pics of the quality issues of the official Oneplus Karbon Kase.
Greetings
To me that looks like normal wear and tear
Unfortunately its new and the package was sealed, when i got it. And the small bubbles of the rubber coating do not come from use. The problem that the edge seems to be used is, i had such a bubble there too ajd hoped it was dirt and rubbed just a once with my finger nail over it. Thats the result. In addition, that case is one the market for around two weeks now. Even if these issues came from use, a case that expensive shouldn't look like this.
I'm using a 8 EUR/ 10USD Cover from Amazon now. And that one does not have a single quality issue like the Oneplus case.
I have the case and like it very much.
This case works fine for me...
If the quality problems wouldn't occur, inwould have been very happy with the case. I'm just a little disappointed over quality and the support. Especially concerning the fact, that the profit margin seems to be very high for this product. But i'm lokking forward to the Pitaka case. Once had one for my Galaxy S9 Plus and and touching it was a joy every time.
Ordered a pikata case [emoji4] had one for my s9+ ... Best case ever! Jeden pfennig wert [emoji851]
So i can use my wireless qi mag charger in my car...

I have the karbon case for my OP5 and love it. I updated to a OP8 Pro and read that the karbon case is quite slippery. Can anyone confirm this? Ideally compared to the sandstone case.

Confirmed, I've been doing the same and the new Karbon case has a more slippery (soft touch) surface, but it also got a slightly bit more productive around the edges - compared to the 5er.
Price is high but I would buy it again.
