WORKING SCREENSHOT METHOD FOR SAMSUNG GALAXY S2 PLUS - nougat roms - Samsung Galaxy S II Plus

Hi everyone, finally a working screenshot method for Samsung galaxy s2 plus
These is not a direct fix for blank screenshot, it uses a 3rd party software (available in play store, not my creation,so I am not taking its credits) :fingers-crossed:
Mheap screenshot patch was the only way to fix screenshot issue in s2+ nougat ROM. But it cases random reboots & some instability
So those who need a temporary fixation for screenshot without any instability or random reboots, can use these app
I own a s2+ (i9105p). Tested on it & working good
Play store link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.icecoldapps.screenshoteasy
Pro version link:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.icecoldapps.screenshoteasypro
Limitations :
Need root access for the working of these application
Screen shot will work only on following methods
1. Overly icon
2. Notification icon
3. Shake
Rest of the methods will not work (don't know y.)
Try it & give u r feedbacks
Thanks to @DenNewbie for giving me a idea about these fix
?

Screenshots: :fingers-crossed:

Instability +random reboots?
No thx.
(Still great job )

I mean , mheap screenshot patch was causing instability & random reboots in nought ROMs for s2+ . So disabled it in flag. (I got these info from @GHsR )
But these app is stable & no random reboots & can be used as a temporary fixation for screenshot issue

Cyanogenmod 9 [Bugs and methods to Fix them]

Better version of cm9
There is now a updated (still beta) version of cm9 is available for gfit users. It is quite a good rom, but still there are some bugs.
Working :
'Except the points mentioned below, everything is working'
Not Working :
* Camera (built in app wont connect)
* youtube force closes
* lockscreen resolution is not correct [Though it can be, by changing lcd density]
* Gps [maybe the updated version from market can help]
* keyboard [this has been fixed, just install gingerbread keyboard from market]
* Videos still lags.
*Gmail wont download attachments (this was also in cm7)
Now the useful information :
* If screen lags, set min and max frequencies to 657 with lag free as governer. If the problem still persists, use Chainfire3D and install GF3D driver.
* i have read somewhere that video lag can be fixed by using Vitamio Plugin ARMv6+VFP [Search this in market] (but i dont know how to use it, if u know discuss in comments)
Thanks.
Please don't get me wrong, I really do appreaciate any help, but this isn't really helpful since those are rom-related bugs which are already mentioned here (especially here and here)
Just trying to help, for those who haven't installed it yet !

quicktoggle works
I don't know what made it work but here is what I did
Installed lollipop5.1 gapps(the one for custom roms) from zedomax's highonandroid.com
Boot up and installed some apps
Reboot ,got a notification from WhatsApp
Hold down it and dragged it down
Reconnect to WiFi due to bug
Exited the toggle by swiping the whole thing 3/4 way up,then close the small tab
Quicksettings then worked normally for me:silly:
Brightness changer won't work so just use screen filter from play store
Can't wait for next build

Q & A section for the P6200
Hi!
Can you put a Q&A section on the P6200 5.1? I use your ROM as my daily driver (from your CM12), and I want to share my experiences on the ROM. Can't post on the Discussion Thread as I'm 8 posts short (this is my 2nd post)
Thank you!
OmniROM
Any new updates for this ROM? Apparently using CM 12.1 gave me headaches because of multitasking issues (opening facebook, messenger and spotify is like entering the gates of hell because the tablet will be really slow) so my daily driver is this ROM for my P6200
Cant post on the original thread because of newbie reasons.
- simcard not working because of baseband missing
- brightness solved using screen brightness app (disabling auto)
- Quick settings solved by installing GApps
- Same issues mentioned in the original thread.
I hope that you're heavily working on this ROM because this is the most stable ROM that i've installed on my P6200 as of this moment (and really fast too, even WITHOUT THE ZRAM)
I'm technishaun btw
Wait for nxt update
Wish it fix all problem
install twrp 2.6.1, still fail to install zip.. what did i do wrong?? please help!!
install twrp 2.6.1 and superuser 1.25, still fail to install zip.. what did i do wrong?? please help!!

Thanks @daniel_hk for continuing to keep this device alive
I've installed the 4th August build of OmniROM 5.1 on my P6800 and it's working fairly well, seems much smoother than the 4.4.4 Carbon ROM I was running before.
Things that I've noticed not working:
GPS (after digging through some other threads about this I notice that gpsd isn't running, and if I try and launch it from a terminal I get an error about 'only position independent executables (PIE) are supported')
Bluetooth won't enable
Can turn torch on in the quick access area, but it won't turn off again
I just can´t flash it
I´m getting this message ... Need some help

Do these ROMs have the slight but constant micro-stuttering that the stock ROM has?
I guess all these ROMs are loaded with Google's stuff?
With the exception of Play Store I'd like to be free of the Google fleet of useless apps.
It's great that you've been able to port these ROMs. I hope a lot of people use them. I just have different needs! Tx.

Yes, all of them. You can "freeze" or delete unwanted Google apps. Do it manually or try to find scripts which can do this automatically.
Hi, I was thinking to buy this tablet.
Can these ROMs fix the issue of too high brightness even at the lowest level?
If not can you recommend a free application to solve the problem?
Better this or teclast m89 pro? Thanks.

To solved this brightness issue I use the sFilter app or any other blue light filter app.
But to tell the truth, I wouldn't recommend to buy any Teclast tablet. I have a problem where he doesn't accept the installation of Instagram or Facebook app. I saw that many people have the same problem.
Anyone else with this problem or know how to solve?

I added solution, check it and let me know if it works for u
It's possible to change brightness limits manually by editing firmware files, If there's a big problem for u and other users I can change its' range sometime. Just let me know what firmware u are using.
Hello dev!
Are you still working on this device firmware? I bought it this month and not even on official site could find updates for, so I don't know if there is any firmware that I should update before using these that you made...
I'm using Pixel Experience and found it great. But I had problems with the initial setup, which always had trouble trying to recover the configuration of another device. When I checked to set up as a new device it work fine.
I could not open Magisk too, but i wanted to disable it and remove, but always shows error when trying. I'll try MIUI in sequence to see if I can.
Another question: The modified Stock has gapps included? (and can I remove root?)
Thank you so much for your work, I was happy to know that have other firmware for this tablet.
PS.: sorry for the "google translator english", my english is poor. lol

I used the modified rom too and liked a lot, but I couldn't install some apps through the playstore and had problems to remove root (Magisk). So I installed ASUS ROM and it is very stable and everything is working great. I'll leave it and see what happens!
Thanks!

Hello!
1) There is no more firmwares to port for our device. Also I don't know much about modding firmwares, so Pixel was my first successful experiment.
2) Latest official firmware for our device is TOS v2.1 which can be found in appropriative thread here. Seems no more updates will be released for our device.
3) Restoring function is bad idea esp on custom ROM. You should always make clean installation.
4) Custom ROMs can only boot with root access (e.g. Magisk). You cant uninstall it. In other case your device wont boot (Android 7.0 classical issue). P.S Magisk is not like "classic" root, so you can "hide" it for apps that don't work on rooted device.
5) Of course stock ROM includes Gapps. All made changes are listed in topic. Root can'f be removed on any custom ROM (see p.4).

[ROM][OneUI][Pie][MAGISK][SM-J600G/F]Stock OneUI for J6

Stock OneUI Release for J6
So, a couple of days ago OneUI was released for the SM-J600F. I simply took the ROM and made it flashable via ZIP
This is JUST STOCK ONEUI """OFFICIAL""" for the J6, DO NOT EXPECT EXTRA FEATURES!
Also, I debloated it lol
BUT
I want to make something clear. If you have not read this and this allow me to summarize
Pie brings new locks to the table, something far worse than rmm lock. If you flash Pie officially, either via OTA or via Odin, these new locks will prevent you from rooting, as I understand it.
The workaround is to flash Pie but with Oreo BL.
BUT
We don't know how long that will keep working
Samsung can easily make Pie only boot with Pie BL.
So... for now... DO NOT UPLOAD YOUR BOOTLOADER TO PIE YET OR YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ROOT OR FLASH CUSTOM BINARY ANYMORE!
And this is where this zip comes in handy!
This ZIP will not change your BL (it will keep your Oreo BL) and included is a kernel (Helios Pie kernel) that fixes small issues. Also, if anything were to go wrong, you still have TWRP to backup and restore, how awesome is that?
So, you have been warned!

(I'll try to upload to GDrive and AFH soon, I promise)
Instructions:
-Create a backup (just in case)
-Wipe system and data
-Flash zip
-Reboot and wait 10 minutes
If after 10 minutes, it is still in logo, force a reboot (Hold VOL +, VOL - and POWER) and then the ROM will work
"Features":
-Official Pie!
-In theory, should not have major bugs
-Pre-rooted with Magisk
-Debloated

FAQ
[Q] My phone is stuck in bootloop/infinite boot, what should I do?
[A] It is normal for first instalation to take aprox 10-20 minutes on first boot, let it sit for a little bit
[Q] Even after 20 minutes, my phone is still in a bootloop/infinite boot, what can I do?
[A] It is possible that your previoius Android setup is conflicting with this new setup. Please, do the following:
1. FORMAT DATA (not WIPE, FORMAT!)
2. Try the instalation of the ROM again
[Q] I've found a bug, what should I do
[A] Please read the "Bugs" section of the thread to see if your bug has been reported, if it hasn't, please let me know exactly what the problem is so I can take a look
[Q] My phone isn't rooted
[A] This ROM has Magisk pre-packaged. If you do not see Magisk Manager, just download the latest version of it in xda
[Q] Something bothers me and I want it fixed/changed
[A] Please, kindly make a request and if it's within my grasp, I'll try to fix it. Just, don't be rude and demand something. Either that or return to stock, your choice

How to report a bug/Ask for a change
Over the small amount of time I've been doing my edits and shared them with the community, I've noticed something that seems to irritate me. I can't speak for all the developers on this forum, but I do edits/ROMs/PORTs/etc... to what I like. I don't work for anybody else but me. I share my work because it may have something of value to other people and/or some people may share the same taste as me on regards to what they want on a ROM.
That being said, that doesn't mean I will completely ignore what the community has to say.
First and foremost, it must be said, I am merely a beginner. I do not claim to be a professional developer that knows how to add everything, I am nowhere close and I learn as I go.
There are ways to ask for something and/or report a bug when it comes to ROMs, and this post is my attempt to try to explain how to (and how not to) report a bug in order to help me out as much as possible to try to fix something
You can also ask for something to be added, but there are also ways to ask for something
So, here we go
Keep in mind:
I do not add stuff that can easily be downloaded from the Playstore
I, myself, don't do kernel edits
I COULD remove stuff if NOBODY uses it
---REPORTING BUGS---
How NOT to report a bug:
"SystemUI (or any app)is crashing, please help!"
"Instagram doesn't allow me to edit my post, what could be wrong?"
"My bank account app is not letting me do such thing"
These posts are sort of pointless as they only state something but I have no context on what could be causing it. Also, I can't really control (for the most part) third-party apps, so if you're going to ask about them this way, don't even bother
A slightly better way to report a bug:
"I clean installed the ROM and was working fine, after I installed Facebook and logged in, I immediately uploaded a photo and SystemUI started to crash. Can you look in to it?"
"I tried to install Black Neon theme (a link to it would work as well) and it was working fine until I tried to activate AOD (or anything else for some reason) and SystemUI (or any other app) is crashing, could you look in to it?"
"My bank account app doesn't let me take a screenshot of my accounts. I get a toast notification saying "Can't take screenshot due to security policy"
As you can see, this provides a bit more context and explanation on your current situation. This gives me a little more detail on trying to replicate the problem and hopefully could fix it by replicating it. Well, except for point #3 which is out of my hands for the most part (I think). If you include what kernel you're using would make everything better! Also any significant change that would require root (like xposed and or anything that modifies /system also needs to be informed for better results)
The BEST way to report a bug:
LOGCAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please learn the ins and outs of a logcat, this really helps a lot on finding what the problem is. Also, please give a brief explanation as the above examples when providing a log cat
---ASKING FOR STUFF TO BE ADDED---
How NOT to ask for stuff:
On your next update, add iris scanner
You should add (app) on your next update
Hey, please add (app or feature) on your next update
No, I do not work for you. Even if you say please like the third example, that doesn't mean you're being polite. It still sounds like an order lol so you should probably rephrase your request.
How to ask for stuff to be added to my work:
Would you be so kind to add (feature) to your ROM, if possible?
Would it be possible to add this app to your ROM?
Please, can you add (feature) to your ROM, if it isn't much to ask?
See how politeness makes everything better? You're not demanding it, you're just politely asking to see if maybe it is within my grasp to add something. And if all request would be like this, I can assure you I'd try my best to add said feature
I hope this is useful to you or I at least hope that some people read it.
If not, I can just tell you to return to stock ROM, probably better than any ROM I put out anyway
Enjoy Pie
Yes its working
You should tell that vendor will be also replaced.

battery drains faster then stock oreo rom ? do you find any other bug ? camera works good ? can you check please if camera is flickering while taking photo to computer monitor or tv ?
Battery takes about 2 cycles to stabilize. My first testers and me did notice higher than normal drain but then reduced the drain a lot.

Thanks for trying this rom. to use galaxy themes you would need to change build.prop inside /system. actually i forget to update build.prop.

Download aroma file manager from here
go to twrp>mount>system
after it install aroma file manage as you install any zip
it will open a file manager go to sdcard and copy this build.prop
and paste it inside system folder. overwrite if it ask for.
and after reboot themes will start working. i will update rom so that themes is enabled by default. thanks for that.

AWWWWWWWSOME.......... thanks for trying out the eXynos ROM.
sensors are working it is just bug in auto-rotate because of port issue i will fix it in latest build.
i don't have telegram group but you can pm me on xda.
i was thinking to make camera work but it require resources.
so, i was in the process of making android Oreo(8.1) for this phone.
if you like i have also ported dot OS 7.1.1 to this phone which is super smooth and light like this rom and is aosp. but i was waiting to get response in this build before releasing more.
