It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Great work on this guys, by far the best blade rom! Surprised it even runs smoother than RC-1 on my N1.
Gotta love the blade
I have 3 devices waiting for this!
But I have 2 questions:
1. Are there any major bugs/downsides at this version?
2. The 3 devices I will use are Greek models with the ram locked to 256mb. I'm asking because the wiki wasn't clear.. Will the additional ram be unlocked by installing this?

i suggest you unlock them to 512mb.. then flash this rom.
Oh, this is so cool, what a shame that i am currently on holidays in turkey and the blade is at home....
Congratulations anyway, will try as soon as i am back !
I've been testing this ROM a while and there's one glitch that doesn't allow me to wake the screen up after a phonecall.. It happens each time I speak to someone for more than a minute.

It's a known bug. Try disabling the proximity sensor and enable the keep screen awake under call settings as a temp fix.

Thanks for the help, although I couldn't find any way to actually disable the proximity sensor. Is this bug known in all ROMs or just this one? Otherwise, awesome ROM! Holding my thumbs over here for a fix.
It's an issue with 2.3 for all blade roms at the moment afik.
How do you disable the proximity sensor?
I love the rom, really great work with it! But I hope this'll be possible to fix.

Un-checking the 'In-call UI' under the call settings menu will disable the proximity sensor. You'll have to use the the physical menu button to hang up calls etc.
Nightly build #6 (#5 didn't get built) will apparently have a fixed kernel for the proximity sensor. This hopefully may sort out the long call issue.
Nightly 6 is already available
Nightly 8 is out.
Nightly 12 is out
i did install the latest Build.12 .. but i have wifi problems.. cant connect with anything.. Wifi is showing up and says its connected but cant establish a connection to anything. no weatherdata, no webpages, no market.. nothing..
I installed build 12 two days ago and have had no problems at all
It definitely seems more responsive than 11, and as an added bonus, the proximity sensor appears to be working again so that when I finish a phone call it wakes the screen up properly which it didn't with 11.
Will Angry birds run smoothly on this, or is that never going to work nicely because of the slow CPU?
Excuse the noob question but this is my gf's phone, not mine.
To get Angry Birds to run smoothly you need to install it on the phone memory, not on the SD card. Then it should run pretty smoothly.
The proximity sensor issue is still alive and well to state that this rom is good for everyday use is not entirely accurate.Until this major bug is fixed i suggest they stop fixing other issues and fix the one that matters which is the proximity sensor as that makes using this rom impossible, not many makers of roms on here would say this rom is good for everyday use because it isnt.the work that has been done so far is good but it really needs this pain in the ass bug fixed and so cmon guys there must be someone who can fix this bug pleeeaaasssseeee arghhhhh
Nightly 18 is available

Follow the instructions on the main thread.
As for GAPPS, yes you can install the rom, but then you will have Google proprietary softwares. Yes that means, no Play Store.

Damn !!
After installing 4.6 beta 3 and overwriting systemui of beta 2 my recent is working but i can't install my favourite game Injustice gods among us it's showing device isn't compatible in play store but I used to play it in stock 4.2.2 jb.
Anybody got Solution ??
Try find on google. U can try with aptoide (search on google). Or u can try apk downloader app (playstore).
But why it's showing not compatible ? All hd games like like batman, injustice, mordern combat
I really do not know! When i installed a few ROMs, even some simple apps like es file explore also gave incompatibility. Maybe it's a problem of the video drive that needs some fix.
I am facing many problems with this PA 4.6 beta 3
* gps not working
* recent apps becomes invisible
* a game Injustice gods among us not working and showing device isn't compatible but i used to play in stock rom 4.2.2 jb
* pie don't work sometime
* DSB gets confused matching colours
* automatically gets lock anytime.
Somebody help me out orelse I prefer PA 4.41 it was better compared to so many bugs

If you are unable to deal with these bugs, back to PA 4.41, because as the name says is 4.6 beta. And it has some bugs. Patience!
Testing Now
I'm a complete newbie but i have been keeping tabs on the android space for a long time now. So far so good the rom works great on my Xperia L C2105, will report if any bugs emerge. Btw great work, paranoid android is my Fav .

Bug reports
First of all, I'll like to commend your team on the wonderful job your doing on this Rom. I absolutely love it and I'm so getting into the development of this Rom. Some issues i discovered is that
The microphone during calls creates and echo which really hinders call quality.
After a reboot and the phone comes on the lock screen, if left there a little bit on the lock screen window, the screen will turn off and pushing the unlock button will not turn it back on. Unless you restart it.
The hover notifications are not implemented well and become obtrusive. Constant notifications like having the BBM connected notification keeps on appearing on the hover. Also when you wan to type there is a notification pertaining to the Google keyboard. Pretty much the hover feature should differentiate between notifications that don't dismiss automatically from the ones that can be swiped.
A setting for how long the hover notification lasts.
The peek on my Xperia L doesn't work. It works fine the first time it is turned on but after that the proximity sensor doesn't signal the screen for peek.
Thanks and keep up the great work.
about PA 4.6 beta 6 update
what is new in this update or just bug fixes?? any new features?? if yes then can please post screenshot of it..

The rom is perfect I love it, and is soo smooth. But I got problemwith the sim it blocked Both and I donĀ“t Know how to fix that.
superdragonpt, this is the rom that you will be remembered for. Excellent job. This is not a port, its a creation! You just made a kernel out of scratch just so you can bring lollipop to our devices so I thank you for that. While we both know that the rom is far from perfect, i hope you will continue to bring us updates and bug fixes. Wish you all the best superdragonpt!
@snapdragonpt i am again facing camera bug....front camera blackish at edges.....quality is not upto mark.....though i didnt face that dual sim problem ...i can easily use 3g on slot 1.....viasuals are good.....performance is good.....but no contact display option for sim....and everytime sim blocked,....minor bugs u can fix....thas all i found ..hope it will help you for a stable version
Hi
Yes, you guys should understand that everything concerning CyanogenMod + Mediatek it's all WIP (Work in Progress)
CM doesn't support Mediatek SoC's (Android ONE, it's an all different story ...)
Plus, everything developed for this device is all WIP, since we never ever got any source .
- The KitKat Rom is unofficial, and made from scratch ...
- The CyanogenMod 11 & 12.1 also.
There's minor issues (since my unofficial KK) that are related with my kernel (cameras needing manual compensation, etc )
Regarding cameras: that's the best i was abled to do without any kind of sourcecode, i had to write our own drivers...
If you manually adjust the exposure / whites, it takes good pictures, but don't expect it to be like in the (very old) JellyBean 4.2.2 (stock) Rom.

We understand superdragonpt and we are willing to wait, i just hope you will not desert this project until atleast most of the bugs are fixed. I can list you all the bugs that i have found if it will make your job easier.
BUGS:
1. Yes, the blueish tint. While it is adjustable on KK and CM11, CM12.1 tells it different, we dont have the white balance option on our default camera app. Im certain using third party or post editing the image will fix it though.
2. No move apps to SD. This is common on almost ALL lollipop roms so no surprises there, we just link our apps with Link2SD.
3. We have some dangerous bug concerning brightness. Turn Adaptive Display on (auto brightness) and then manually turn down the brighness and u get a pitch black screen. Dangerous if you dont know the position of the slider.
Alternatively if u turn Adaptive Display off and turn Battery Saver on, you will get a pitch black screen if you turn the brightness to its minimum.
4. LED notifications, yes they light up but they stay lit. If u get a low battery youre supposed to get a blinking red, but with this bug u get a continuous red light. Same with texts but with an endless green. Im sure third party apps can do something regarding this.
5. Heads up notifications does not work with every app. Turning it off did not fix it either. The only heads up notif i get is from facebook and calls, but it wont give u heads up for text messages or games.
6. There is a youtube bug. This one im not sure if its an isolated problem. If you are watching videos sometimes it will stop and refuse to play unless you click on a new video and click back to the one you were watching.
Other than that, this rom is great! It is not as stable as your KK 4.4.2 which is my personal favorite I must say. But bringing lollipop to the table is good enough already so kudos to you. Thank you superdragonpt.

Hi
~
Thanks for the bug list, it really helps, since im wasting most of my time compiling and check issues.
1: The new CyanogenMod 12.1 camera lacks some settings, so, yes, you can't adjust camera settings just like in KK.
--> Workaround, use another camera app from the Play Store
--> Same goes for recording videos ( there's an Play store link on first page for a camera app, that works great for recording videos ...
2: There's nothing i can do regarding this
3: Adaptive Display : Yes it needs some re-calibration
4: Led: It works but doesn't blink (minor bug )
5: Seems to be an problem with CM release
6: Should be fixed on next release
Thanks for the feedback
cheers

so there is no way to fix camera you said only on some devices some are working ? you tried to replace modules from jb ? should i try ? but i cant coz i have this device as my daily driver........ i know whatever u r doing is just great n i appreciate you...in fact we all do !
As i know micromax a120 have same specs even unite 2 have same chipset, can you try using unite 2 lollipop module ? i think someone should try if you have this device as a spare device !
Sent from my Micromax A200 using XDA Free mobile app
Is there any way to move apps to external sd? I always get an error with link2sd, and my internal memory is already full

It wont work because micromax a120 has a different kernel despite having identical specs. Flashing it would result in a brick.

Yes moving apps to sd doesnt work because our "external sd" is just emulated from internal sd. Which means our external and internal is just one. I dont know, i think thats just how lollipop works. Link2sd does work fine for me. Im using the free one from play store because if you try to use a cracked link2sd pro ull have a "Package invalid" error.

so far so good, I have been using it since the release, It's the most smooth rom I have ever used, I tested it for 3 days, nothing weirdo so far, I'm so impressed by your great work, it beats the stock rom , Very well done, I have a short list of bugs, you might be able to consider when you have to time,
-Gapps issue, Hopefuly I have the logs
-the screen blinks sometimes (Minor bug)
-hmm here is somthing strange , Please consider fixing it, web browser (uc browser & cm browser) crashes randomly, I tried to mess with libs and take a logcat and I could'nt identify the issue, one more thing HD games crashes sometimes and sometimes work normally, I noticed something when Hd games work the app drawer icons are a bit bigger than when Hd games don't work
btw, I had an issue like that before and I fixed it by using boot.img of an emulated storage rom
please provide emulated storage patch
Thank you in advance and hope you consider solving these issues ( as I'm doing on my own)
Good luck

For gapps issue, check weather you are using proper GApps or not(ARM,6.0.1)Pico(As I used). And you have to flash the GApps right after flashing the ROM(without rebooting).
For blinking issue check libs related to graphics if you have ported this ROM to another device(i.e. hwcomposer, gralloc).
CM & UC browser works fine for me.
I did not tested any games yet.
For emulated storage use fstab.mt6572 from emulated ROM.
How to port? Same like porting cm12.1?

Hi everyone, finally a working screenshot method for Samsung galaxy s2 plus
These is not a direct fix for blank screenshot, it uses a 3rd party software (available in play store, not my creation,so I am not taking its credits) :fingers-crossed:
Mheap screenshot patch was the only way to fix screenshot issue in s2+ nougat ROM. But it cases random reboots & some instability
So those who need a temporary fixation for screenshot without any instability or random reboots, can use these app
I own a s2+ (i9105p). Tested on it & working good
Play store link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.icecoldapps.screenshoteasy
Pro version link:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.icecoldapps.screenshoteasypro
Limitations :
Need root access for the working of these application
Screen shot will work only on following methods
1. Overly icon
2. Notification icon
3. Shake
Rest of the methods will not work (don't know y.)
Try it & give u r feedbacks
Thanks to @DenNewbie for giving me a idea about these fix
?
Screenshots: :fingers-crossed:
Instability +random reboots?

I mean , mheap screenshot patch was causing instability & random reboots in nought ROMs for s2+ . So disabled it in flag. (I got these info from @GHsR )
But these app is stable & no random reboots & can be used as a temporary fixation for screenshot issue
