can you please confirm if the problem with the gpu performance of the exynos can be resolved..i mean if you want to emulate dolphin emulator, you basically can't because the bad driver implementation
This is probably a really dumb question, but i need to know... How do you make sure you order a phone that's got Exynos & not snapdragon?

Do a wild guess: -U- firmware on a -F- model...!
Doesn't have the -U- model a SnapDragon, while the -F- model had Exynos?

Without root, No. With root yes. I have a 955FD and flashed ATT's CSC so I could get VoLTE and it works just fine.

My banking app (used only to check my balances and not make any purchases) works just fine. I don't use Snapchat so I can't comment on whether it works with a 955FD configured similar to mine.
So does your Bixby voice work now that your csc is ATTs csc
There should be no way a Snapdragon cpu rom should work on an Exynos cpu rom.
Different kernels needed and you would be looking at a probable brick, even with root...
Flashing the CSC is COMPLETELY different to flashing the entire rom...
I have an U and I want the F firmware, irritating how the cheaper Exynos has more benefits than our Snapdragons
can anyone tell me of we can root yet I'll just say I seen so many things that you can and can't I haven't tried them cause I wanna be safe and I honestly feel like we haven't achieved root yet

Hi
You are right but the phone model was not mention...and this is the international S8+ forum ( Exynos) so I assumed we were talking about an Exynos model

Hi
That is a good start but maybe you may have better luck if you ask in the right forum..
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8+
At the bottom of the page you will see all the S8+ Snapdragon , US carriers , check out what is going on over there
This has never been international only forum. We talk about all versions of s8+.

yes we have root, we are waiting for the write up on, "the how to.."
most of the other threads are closed cause of the arguments and discussions of getting root, and not being patient for the release of the files. and the progress thread got closed also... but these are the threads to keep an eye on...

Yeah mate, that happened to me too. I just downloaded an American TWRP instead of the European version.
Such a noob thing
Try to download and flash the European version (assuming you're European like me) and everything will be fine.
Have a nice day

euro models all use the Exynos processor and has a definitely different tar.md5 file for its TWRP vs the american snapdragon models

Yeah, thanks. That problem is gone, the others are plenty, but they are definitely offtop.)
Here is the screenshoot from my Galaxy S8.
Swichted from G950U1 to G950U with Modded Odin.
If you do like this then you need 3 update file.
1. CRK1 Update (Search on sammobile)
2. CRL Update (https://firmware.science/)
3. DRL6 update (https://firmware.science/)

Still I'dont get any bugs or random reboot or etc. Everything working perfectly. One thing is, software update is not working. Just show "This version is not supported".
Edit 1. Always On Display is not working at version 4.1.37
Edit 2. Working after reboot!

You may have to update some Samsung apps for them to work. Also, night mode doesn't fully work (some Samsung apps not included in it). Also, much faster and smoother; however, slightly faster battery drain for me. All the new software is a plus though. The important bugs are similar to bugs on official betas for s9.

Thanks for the update. I will probably wait and stay on Oreo for now, but I will admit, my fingers are itching and I'm very tempted to give this leak a try. Then the part of my brain ? that handles logic and common sense kicks in again and tell me to wait.

I would suggest you using modded odin. I also had an unlocked snapdragon S8 US variant SMG950U1 as well and when I flashed the Odin files for CRK1 my device became a Verizon S8 model SMG950U...CRK1 (no longer unlocked but has bloatware). Once the base model is CRK1, you have to download 2 update.zip files. CRK1 to CRL1 and CRL1 to DRL6.
