Do a wild guess: -U- firmware on a -F- model...!
Doesn't have the -U- model a SnapDragon, while the -F- model had Exynos?

Without root, No. With root yes. I have a 955FD and flashed ATT's CSC so I could get VoLTE and it works just fine.

My banking app (used only to check my balances and not make any purchases) works just fine. I don't use Snapchat so I can't comment on whether it works with a 955FD configured similar to mine.

So does your Bixby voice work now that your csc is ATTs csc

There should be no way a Snapdragon cpu rom should work on an Exynos cpu rom.
Different kernels needed and you would be looking at a probable brick, even with root...
Flashing the CSC is COMPLETELY different to flashing the entire rom...

I have an U and I want the F firmware, irritating how the cheaper Exynos has more benefits than our Snapdragons

May I know how to add whatsapp and facebook in my App Twin? Thanks!
I'd also appreciate if someone could explain that.
there is another post related to this in this forum, you need to have bootloader unlocked I believe and use a 3rd party app too.

Magisk For Snapdragon Hong Kong S10e (SM-G9700)

Magisk can successfully be installed on the G9700 using the same Exynos method.
Follow these steps:
https://topjohnwu.github.io/Magisk/samsung
Happy rooting!
Do not need to use ian magisk, the https://topjohnwu.github.io/Magisk/samsung
is correct too.
As mentioned in 9700 thread: no issues running magisk, not a single reboot etc.

My mistake. I thought it was mandatory because people have been saying you need his Magisk build in order to achieve root on the Snapdragon variants. I have fixed the post. Thanks!

Hi guys, the link is broken.. I'm getting the 9700 HK model this week, any luck with a clean root without the reboots issue?

I've had the G9700 for about a week, and now I'm seriously considering selling it. It's a great phone in many respects, but that awkward means of utilising Magisk makes rooting it more trouble than it's worth, and I really need my Viper sound mod.
Unless someone comes up with a Snapdragon TWRP and patches it to Magisk like this, I might as well stick with my ZUK Z2 Pro: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...s10-magisk-t3965673/post80202818#post80202818

Those who rooted, do you have GPay working? if yes how?

After rooting device, you sacrifice Knox related items like Samsung pay, secure folder etc
Gpay was supposed to work but requires some tweaks

Gpay is easy. Hide magisk all google stuff and google pay. Clear data. Then reboot. I used it twice today.

I dunno. Being able to use my phone to pay at legacy POS terminals is pretty awesome. Even if samsung pay doesn't get adopted as a mobile payment standard, MST still works fine.
Hell I'm working in Korea and I can pay bills, pay for all forms of transit, shop online, and send money from messages with Samsung pay. Even my Gear S3 being able to use MST is awesome, allowing me to make 10 purchases before the next time it pair back to my phone.
I'd hardly say it's overrated. It's a feature. Just like being rooted is a feature. It's utility depends on the user.

Question If your U1 device can't use 5G. You can try it.

I have unlock ATT S22U. I flashed it to the public version not use 5G. So i want go back.
I want to use 5G again. Rewrote CSC to GCF and flashed TMB firmware.
Fully functional 5G but can't get OTA.
no OTA yet, wait for October

CSC can be changed without root and paying. You'll be surprised that a simple app can do this. And the app comes from a reputable Samsung firmware site.

no its not a secret.....go to samfw.com and use their FRP tool,,,,inside the app...theres a tab called Test...go to option change CSC (blank)....key in what you want.....now granted....s908u is limited to US based carriers.....ATT VZW TMB etc.....but it has XAA and GCF.....if you wanna change to anything...i would try XAA or GCF.....and when u do so....u get rid of carrier bloat etc. What carrier do you have and what device? Reason im asking is because some people tend to lose acesss to bands when they change CSC but i know the dialer secret menu code to get you to where you need to enable all bands. Just an FYI

It depends on the banking app. There are many that would work after a few steps like the safetynet fix, but some that an overly strict with their checks and some that require additional steps to fool.
