Sim card detected but not working - yureka - General Questions and Answers

I have upgraded phone to lollipop and then the sim card is detected, but not showing network.
I have tried everything which i was able to get on internet,
1. I have installed the stock rom of cm11 via downgrade process
2. check the sim slots
3. tried restarting it multiple times
4. clear cache and data
5. installed stock rom multiple times
6. It is showing imei so no chance of that imei error
7. *#*#4636#*#* and tried shifting it to gsm only and everything
8. entered in safe mode and checked that any 3rd party apps are not causing this problem...
Any one know the solution please help.... Is there any flash file for it? because i am not getting it on internet.

[Q] Not detecting Sim, Baseband unknown.

My GT-i9003 on GB 2.3.4 (XXKPE) fails to detect sim card. IMEI is blank. Baseband shows unknown. Not sure what caused this. It was on official firmware, and was not rooted. Few things I did a day before this were
(1) Used a different sim card (worked properly) and switched back to the old one (worked again, till the next day)
(2) Tried different memory cards, just to check the contents, and switched to the old one.
(3) Once while switching memory card, I forgot to shutdown the phone and directly removed the battery.
After this also, I was able to use the phone without any issues for another 15 to 20 hours. Some observations and repair attempts from my side
(1) Kies is not able to connect to the phone. It stays in "connecting" loop. No error message as such.
(2) Kies "re-initialize" doesn't seem to support GT-i9003
(3) Attempted toggling "flight mode" though it was not ON. Now the device went into an eternal flight mode.
(4) Restored nv_data.bin from .nv_data.bak
(5) Installed CWM using Odin, and rooted the phone
(6) Installed CyanogenMod (11-20131201) successfully. But still the IMEI is unknown and sim is not detected.
(7) Battery seems to get discharged much quickly (both in CM and the official one, after the issue was noticed)
(8) Phone is not under warranty now.
I am thinking of restoring the official firmware. I could not find XXKPE files available for download anywhere (all are hotfiles links, which is closed now). Is there any higher version (India/Asia) I can directly install without going through XXKPE? Kindly provide the procedure as well. Please let me know if there is some other approach as well to restore the IMEI.
Thanks

Hi, I'm using win 7/32 and I did not need usb drivers. We restarted the windows, in F8 I turned off checking the drivers' signatures and then started the windows. On the phone I enabled the developer options and the usb troubleshooter. Then I plugged the usb cable (on) to the computer. It will start downloading and installing the drivers. You have to run all the options for connecting the phone to the computer (usb configuration), from simple loading to MTP, PTP and MIDI. When all the drivers have been installed, restart the computer and turn off the phone. At me, (Cubot x 18), I have not removed any battery, neither sims nor microsd. Just with the phone off. When you restart your computer, start the sp flash tool, choose MT6737T_Android_scatter for what you need, choose the option and activate it, and finally plug the phone off to your computer. From now on, everything has to go ... That's the method I use. I was frankly amazed that she was running without a battery in the phone; and all the way to him, just stopped.

Hello, I think you need to set a new APN. To do this, you must go into Settings-Wireless & networks-More-Cellular networks-Access Point Names. At the top of the bar you will have to press "+" and you will need to configure the new APN according to the mobile phone operator from which you have the SIM card you are using. Once configured, you'll need to save and check it as an asset, the one that your phone will use. That's all. And there would be something else. At my side, I can not catch 4G, it gives me connection error. So I set it on 3G, from -preferred network type. Hope to help.

Thanks mate. The correct apn had been set and it shows 4g connection at the top but simply refuses to connect to mobile data. It all says its switched on etc. When I type +*+*4636*+*+ into dialer screen to bring up phone settings it is there that it says mobile data disconnected and it simply will not switch on.
I've also factory reset the phone and it won't connect to mobile data then either. When I try to change the radio band it crashes.

Wi-fi going? Perhaps there is something on / off in your phone that limits your access to your mobile data network (billing cycle, data usage, roaming, or anything like that). Frankly, my knowledge is limited, I do not know what else it could be. If wi-fi works, try updating it, you may be lucky.

Thanks mate. Nah me neither. WiFi does work but no joy with mobile. There's no update available and a factory reset never cleared it. I think the issue lies with the radio band. It simply crashes the application whenever I try to access it.
Not receiving incoming calls when in VoLTE
Since my carrier is activating VoLTE through its network
I cannot receive incoming calls. If my phone receives only the 4G signal (without VoLTE) the phone works perfectly. I tried another sim card of the same carrier...same issue! If I put on the phone a sim card from another carrier it works fine, but I think this carrier is not using VoLTE yet. Using the *#*#4636#*#* menu I switched off "provisioning VoLTE" option...but after a few seconds it turns on again automatically. I do not know yet if the problem is linked to my phone, carrier or a problem on Android. Does anybody can help me? Thanks in advance
PS: my phone is running native Android 7.0 and it is updated with the latest firmware version
Try a drastic solution. Reflash your phone. The problems are with MTK firmware structures, MTK firmwares usually results in lost IMEI or NVRAM issues.
I am a fan of anything MTK phablets, tablets, phones and owned mostly Lenovos about 7 devices, all rooted with TWRP. My advise is to reflash the phone (since we already have the firmware), if it doesnt work the first time after reflash , you probably need to reflash a few more time and you will find that after every reflash there will be random functions and apps broken (after the next reflash the functions and apps are OK but others broken) until you will have all 100% OK. That is my experience with MTK SoC.
Good Morning!
Can you tell me if this procedure works on the new model, the P20? Uses Oreo 8.0.0 with Kernel 3.18.60 ...
Thank you very much
Me too

Hello guys,
I've the same problem with my X18. Everything works fine. My SIM is active and registered and in the notification bar there is a 4G-icon, I can make some calls, receive SMS and so on. But if I use mobile data, the connection will be interruped after few minutes and in the settings dialog the SIM card is disabled.
Reboot, changing SIM slot takes no effectes. This error is reproduceable.
The device has 3 APN-Settings. Is there any oppurtunity to delete these settings, so that I can receive new APN from my provider or to define it manually?
Best regards
Dan
Good review thanks..
I know this is off thread.. I want to install twrp and magsik on my cubot note 7..
Can't find any info anywhere....
Do you know a safe method pls?

[Not Solved] Infinx Note 4 Pro x571 lost IMEI (tried every method)

Hi,
I hope this is the right forum, otherwise mods please move this thread to right one.
Problem
Stock Nougat ROM on Infinix Note 4 Pro (x571) was upgraded to Oreo 8.1 via OTA. Device was purely stock, no rooting or custom recovery of any sort. After a few weeks from day of upgrade, device became sluggish and restarted randomly until it reached to a level were it would start and after reaching home screen, it will restart again (a boot-loop kind of thing). I factory resetted the device using stock recovery which was the starting of disaster. I ended up being stuck in "Setup Wizard" where it would go 2 steps forward then come back to "restore device or start a refresh".
Searches on Google revealed that this setup wizard problem is not device specific and only solution is to flash stock ROM. I was unable to find stock Oreo ROM but found Nougat hence using SP Flash Tool, I manage to flash it back correctly. Device finish setup smoothly and worked flawlessly until I realized I am unable to make/receive calls. I checked and re-inserted SIM, operator signals were shown correctly, rebooted many times, cleared cache, etc. but nothing worked until another set of search at Google shows that it could be because of IMEI hence I used *#06# only to find that IMEI was null (blank).
I tried to restore IMEI from the box using:
* MTK Engineering Mode tools > Connectivity > CDS as per various forums and blogs. Unfortunately, my device was did not show CDS options like many screenshots at Internet.
* After failing with MTK Engg. Mode tools, I resorted to MobileUncle Tool. Generated IMEI.bak with genuine IMEI numbers using a software file but as soon as I touched "Restore IMEI" in MobileUncle Tool, it showed error "No Support".
Only method left for trying is this one only because I don't have Windows PC/Laptop (I use Linux as daily driver). At work, I do have Windows but IT Security has disabled all USB ports so that's a difficult option.
My questions are
1. Is there any alternative for Linux users to restore IMEI? So far I am unable to find anything. Combo of Virtual Machine or Wine is not working.
2. Is it possible using ADB/Fastboot tools?
* In case answer is NO for 1 and 2, what is the success chances of MTK Droid Tools? Important to mention that I do not have any backup of first ROM I was using before upgrade, no backup of EFS or NVRAM partitions, etc.
My phone is still functioning perfectly well with all features except IMEI issue (hence no calls or sms) and this will require a big heart for me to use it as a paper weight or email assistant.
Thanks to everyone for the time in reading my TL; DR post.
No. The only legal way to fix the imei issue if flashing a full stock doesn't work is send it in and they will charge you for a new mother board.
Messing with imei is very illegal in some countries and as such banned here.
Thanks, advice is still under warranty so I will try to get it from seller (if they accept).

My galaxy note 3 (SM-N9005) with a custom rom can't see my sim card. How to fix?

This is a bit of a longer story, but i'll try to make it brief.
I have a samsung galaxy note 3 (SM-N9005).
A few days ago, when I was deleting system bloatware and I must have also deleted some important parts of the system.
My homescreen stopped working and i couldn't see my phone when i connected it to my pc which is running win-10 (more on that later).
Unfortunately i didn't keep any backups, yes I was reckless.
Factory resetting with my default recovery mode didn't help at all.
After some time i managed to install twrp (team win project recovery) and flashed ressurection remix 5.8.5 (unofficial version from Lord_Eko) along with Magisk and the correct Gapps.
Everything is working fine except that I cant see my sim card (thus i can't call or text anyone) and I still can't see my phone when connecting it to my pc.
I wanted to try installing some firmware for my sim card or try flashing stock firmware before my custom rom but I can't, since I have to use bootloader/download mode for that.
I tried using Odin (v3.13 and v3.09) while in download mode, but it can't see my phone. Neither can Android debug bridge when using command "adb device" or "fastboot devices" (it just says list of attached devices and nothing).
Connecting my phone normally doesn't work either. My phone isnt even listed in device manager as an unknown device.
I even tried installing samsung usb drivers, but to no avail. My phone only gets charged from my pc.
I tried all sorts of things i don't even remember now, but none of them helped.
I read something about an IMEI being deleted and when i checked my IMEI through an app it was blank, so it seems to have been deleted.
My battery also keeps draining quite a lot, but that's probably because of how old it is.
I don't know anymore info i can give, so please, how do I get my simcard to work?
Thanks for any help and sorry if I posted this in the wrong section. <3
