I tried using Root Switch to get snapchat login to work on my rooted device and found that it would just not re-enable no matter how much I tried. I uninstalled, and reinstalled it and it no longer gave me the option to turn it back on (using a little bit of a work around I managed to get the option to appear again) and the same issue still stands, it will not re enable my root.
I am in the same boat

Having some issues re-rooting my LG g2. A little background on problem, I am had my phone rooted with no issues and everything was working flawlessly. I am in the Navy and deployed for a few weeks well out of cell range off the east coast. I put my phone into airplane mode as to save battery why I was outside of range. One of the guys on the ship was asking about it and was curious on rooting his Samsung Note 3. I showed all the options of it and even showed him that it could be undone. So I went into Superuser and unrooted phone knowing when I got home I could root again and showing him it was safe. When I got back into cell signal I couldnt get any google products to work, Google+, Gmail, youtube, maps, etc... anything that had my gmail/google login didnt work and would tell me I had a connection problem. But net and facebook and all other apps connected to internet just fine. So I decided to plug in a simply re-root phone. I plugged in and ran IOROOT25 as I did before and everything seemed to work just fine. Said it was rooted and rebooted device but root checker said otherwise and device was not rooted. I tried manually rooting with CMD and tried the batch file numerous times with no success. It shows it worked but never really rooted. I am at a loss, I want my phone back rooted so I can fix my Google login info and sync. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Can't seem to get Google movies to show me the video part of the movie. Sound comes through just fine. Multiple movies attempted. Stock ROM, rooted. Root cloaker used to attempt to block any interfering services, to no avail. Shouldn't matter though, have never had a problem before on any other rooted device.
Any suggestions?

edit:
okay, it turns out i managed to get it working by deleting google play movies and reinstalling it.
HOWEVER, that can be a pain in the butt, i found out. turns out you need to change the SELinux setting to allow you to delete system files. I used SELinuxModeChanger, available on the app store.
every time i had tried to delete it before changing this SELinux setting (despite the fact that i have root, unlocked bootloader, etc) it was showing back up after a reboot.
hope that this helps someone else
hi there im hoping someone out there can help.
i have an m8 which i rooted last month after rooting i quickly decided that it wasnt something i would actually get the use from and so unrooted it and restored the factory rom. since then ive been plagued with rcp errors when using the play store. sometimes clearing data and caches works but other times its days later before i can install the apps i wanted.
after hours online and more hours playing around with the phone a realized that when i go to settings/apps/googleplayservices all options are greyed out, it seems like the app has been disabled somehow and dosent seem to be a way of re-enabling it finding it in play store it allows me to open it and gives me the option to disable it from there but even when clicking it it dosent seem to have an affect. im hoping that by rooting it and unrooting i i havent screwed something up.
Hi,
I need to know which M8 you have. There are seperate sections for each model/carrier. Then I can point you to a place to ask for help. ?
Sup fellas just posting this from my phone
Basically I rooted it with CFAUTO root I found on a site that seemed trustworthy due to its credibility found on various sites.
Root works perfectly along with Xposed for awhile but eventually a week later every single app will start force closing, or immediately fail to launch on touch. From instagram to KiK to play store itself.
Rebooting is not a good solution as it resolves into a boot loop.
This has been happening consistently for a few weeks. The only solution to get my phone back up and running is to do a factory reset (which in turn means setting everything up again to my preferences. )
This pretty much led me to leave the phone as it comes plus a few common apps and just rely on my iPad more.
Does anyone have a solution? I followed the tutorial down to the T. Video and guide. I'm considering switching to stock but want to see if anyone else had this issue or was able to fix it
I would say to use this guide.

Havent tried CFAUTO root, and I dont think its recommended.
I had a similar issue with apps force closing, though I didn't use cfauto root.
The issues I had, after finding out from much trial and error, was that after I rooted my apps would update before Google play services. This would cause problems because the updated apps needed the updated play services to run.
Revert back to stock, then make sure that Google play services is up to date before updating any other app. After play services are up to date, make sure your play store is up to date. Then go ahead and update all of your apps. Next reroot your phone.
Like I said before I didn't use cfauto root, but I hope this helps.
Hi. Thought I could get a little help with something. I got my 1+8pro and I rooted it with Magisk only. It was a little tedious but my root check app says it is rooted. I had trouble with my bank apps. One was so stingy that I had to redo the root using a different app name instead of Magisk. Finally got that working. Then I started getting notifications for a system update. Well, in order to update I had to wait until that version was posted on 1+ website so I could download it and patch it in. I finally did that and eventually got everything back up and running with the update. It was tedious and the phone is finally working again, just like I want it to.
About another week later it began nagging me again to do yet another update and I did not want to go through all that all over again. I went into the settings for that system app to disable the notifications but the switch was greyed out, locked in the on position. I live by important notifications and having that up in my notification area constantly is distracting. So I contacted support and asked how to disable the system updates or the notification. They told me to do what I already tried and I had to send them a screenshot showing that it was greyed out. Then they were trying to talk me into resetting my phone which is scary considering it took me many weeks to set everything all up.
So I said "uncle" and ended up going through the update baloney all over again and getting it rooted like before. Tedious. I checked after doing so and the notification setting switch was still greyed out. So, now it started nagging me to update again only this time wants me to go to OS11 which I am certainly not even ready to try as it is still in its infancy and not interested in taking a chance that something stops working properly on the phone.
I have a root uninstaller app on the phone that disables apps, but it is so old that it is no longer supported and apparently doesn't work with this newer Android version like it did on my old phone. It just brought the app over when I transferred everything from the old phone to this new one. It has app disabling features that apparently do not work for this version of Android. So I cannot use it to disable the System Update app. Now, I can probably install the Pro version of Titanium Backup which has an app freeze feature but not sure if it will work after paying for it. So before I do such a thing I wanted to see if there are any other options to maybe get this switch un-greyed so I can block these notifications. I know also that I can clear the cache and data for the app and it stops for a few days, but then I have to keep doing that once or twice a week and that is just a pitb to keep doing. Besides, 1+ said that it shouldn't be greyed out.
Anybody got any ideas for me to try without jeopardizing having to lose it all and start over? If I knew what I was getting into with Magisk, I would have installed TWRP first so I could have backup images to roll back to. But that is an afterthought now. I don't think Titanium Backup can create an actual flash image of the phone like TWRP. Maybe I should start over and just do it right with TWRP, then Magisk in the first place. But I want to leave that as a last resort.
Ideas, thoughts?
Thanks if you can.
