I'm on a low end PAYG tariff so manually turn data on / off over 3g. The Moto G doesn't seem to have a quick way of doing this and quick settings don't appear to be customisable... ? Unless anyone knows different ?
Press the signal icon in quick settings.

Put the widget on your Homescreen(s)....
Change to Nova or Apex launcher....
Sent from my Moto G using TapaTalk
stock android is like that on every phone
you must use power toggles from play store, or exposed framework and some modules

This takes you to the menu to then toggle it..... I've come from a HTC where you can just toggle via the icon in quick settings since my first android back in the day HTC Legend. I guess thats part of Sense and I'll need to use a 3rd party app. It just feels like such a basic feature though coming from a non-stock android experience.
Swipe with two fingers from the top then tap the network button(middle one), then tap "mobile data"
Thanks all
You could also use widgetsoid from the playstore.
One tap customisable toggles in notification area.
you could also use gravitybox together with xposed to override system default toggle behavior for some toggles (wifi, bt, data, etc)

I did search before posting here and installed three of them, but those all to toggle mobile data on/off and not to switch between sm1 and sim2.
If you know of any kindly point me there.

There is custom shortcut tile also use that add mobile networks- it will directly jump to mobile network settings
Is there any way to make a shortcut to this particular developer option??? When using certain apps I have to toggle this off to use the app and then toggle it back on. Just looking for a quick fix if there is one.

Tried it. It makes a shortcut just to settings. Not that particular dev option. Thanks for the info.
Hi I have a quick question., can you toggle off 5g completely. In my home country (Trinidad) it doesn't have and may not have for a good few years ?.
Please post screen shot verifying it
yes, there is a quick setting in the tile pull-down menu.
5g is off by default .. I have never enabled.
sorry, cant be bothered doing screenshots if you dont believe me .. or check phone screenshots on notebookcheck.net or gsmarena.com
Ok thanks...
Yes you can toggle it On or Off as you desire.
For everyday use I ensure that 5G is Off. As 4G+ spped are more than enough for browsing and watching videos, and 5G consumes more battery and generate more heat.
I only turn it On when downloading large apps or torrents to get the most benefits of the high speeds.
Screenshot in attachments.
That button appears only when you have a 5G sim card? I don't see that icon for enable/disable 5G in pull-down menu, not even in edit mode, only in Settings, Mobile Network I can select 5g/4g/3g/2g.

Is there a 4g/3/2g option?
This is what I got, also on last firmware .121.

I am using a different dpi setting 'smallest width' .. hence a bit different in size from above screenshot
Thank you all for the information

Hey guys,
I´m commuting between Switzerland and Germany and used OnePlus devices for years. On OnePlus you can comfortably change active SIM card with a tile in quick settings (pull down notification bar, where you´ve got WiFi, BT, GPS and so on). I´m now looking for an opportunity to quickly change SIM slots on my Moto G100 instead of struggling through menus. Any idea how to do so?
Cheers,
kischde
I'm having the same problem.

I'm having the same problem. Long pressing "data" toggle is the fastest way I've found, but I've also started using Macrodroid to automatically open the menu under condition geofence "reached work" or under contidion "No internet connection". It doesn't change the setting directly but it brings you to where it's just one tap.
1. Download NOVA LAUNCHER
2. In your homescreen, open widget picker
3. Drag Nova Launcher "activities" widget to homescreen
4. Go to Settings > Network & Internet
5. Uninstall Nova launcher. You don't need Nova launcher to keep the widget settings shortcut.

Any way to "install" that feature on generic LineageOS? OnePlus f...ed up badly with their Android 11 update, so I am back at custom rom'ing... Everything great so far, but I miss the quickly-switch-data-sim badly.
