Samsung Verizon Galaxy S7 Edge - resetting - wiped out- dead - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Guides, News, & Discussion

My Samsung Verizon Galaxy S7 Edge has reset 3 times in 30 days. It wipes out all data and returns to factory defaults. The last time it did this a few days ago, it completely quit working. Verizon refuses to do anything. ( they want $300 to send it back to fix it). Phone is under warranty. They claim they sent out an Android update and it has a bug that causes this. Phone is dead. Beware!!

Samsung Galaxy S2 Recovery mode/reboot loop issues

Hi
I have a problem with my Galaxy S2 where it's in a constant reboot loop and the only way to stop it is by taking the battery out.
I'm sure that if I do a factory reset it'll go back to normal.
The problem is, I can't back anything up because as soon as the phone boots up it restarts.
Is there ANY other way to back up my photos and videos etc?
I have NOT rooted the phone
Cannot find any solutions online
I'm currently having this problem too. A couple of days ago it kept rebooting in a loop. I took the battery out and left it for a while, then let it charge. It seemed okay afterwards. Now today it keeps rebooting, and the past couple of days it has refused to charge the battery because apparently the battery was "too hot or too cold" (don't quote me on that) so I'm very confused. Just now though the battery was about half-charged and it still went into the reboot loop.
Something else you should know is that like the OP it has the stock OS on. It isn't rooted or modified. I don't want to factory reset it because I have spent so much time customising it (with apps) and it would be a pain in the ass if the problem still existed afterwards. One thing I must ask the OP is, did you recently get a 64GB MicroSDXC card for your S2? I ask this because I did a couple of weeks ago and it's been working fantastically and was said to work fine with the S2, but I'd like to explore any possible reason this reboot loop is happening.
Thanks.
Edit: To confirm I deleted the cache and this didn't help. I don't want to hard reset...
I've just done a factory reset - I hadn't realised that it only affects my apps and not my files.
The phone is ok now.

[Completed] Samsung Galaxy S5 G900F stuck at "SAMSUNG" logo after factory reset

Hey folks,
I'm having a headache with my Samsung Galaxy S5 G900F, running latest official firmware 6.0.1. for Bulgaria. The phone is 1.5 year old, and it's till under warranty, in a mint condition (at least visually).
Yesterday I decided to make a software reset by the many in the operation system (factory reset) and after it did it thing it got stuck on the "SAMSUNG", which is the second thing that appears on the display after it's turned on.
The weird thing is that it starts to heat up quite much on the area on the left of the battery, about two inches above the loudspeaker and one inch down from the headphone jack, this is at the left side of the battery as you look at the phone from behind.
I took the battery off and tried the following:
- enter recovery mode and wipe cache partition and data/factory reset
- tried to boot multiple times
- repeated the two operations several times
- finally I decided to flash stock ROM for my device, which went normal. The knoxx hasn't counted the flash, which probably is a good thing, but...
None of these actions helped and the phone still gets stuck there and starts to heat up.
What is there, underneath that area?
What are your suggestions?
Could just fail of regular factory reset?
It's till under warranty and if I'm not sure it's a software problem, it's probably a bad idea to flash a custom ROM like CM or else.
What do you say?
Thanks!
Hey, the situation has resolved - it needed a very long time to load and I guess I didn't give it the time necessary.
Please, delete the thread, 'cause I ain't have clue how to do that!

More S6 Nougat Problems

Just went through the 7.0 OTA update on my Verizon GS6 128GB a couple weeks ago. At first, I didn't notice that my fast charging function was somehow disabled. Went into settings, it was selected, just wasn't fast charging. Took 7+ hours to charge to 100%. Contacted Verizon, wanted me to download and run Software Repair Assistant. That's fine. Then I discovered that my phone was no longer being recognized by my laptop. Or any other computer. Went into the Verizon store. Completely useless people there. Unless I wanted to upgrade to an GS8. After multiple factory resets, accessing developer mode, nothing is fixing the issue. Samsung couldn't help either. They want me to send it back to them for an out-of-warranty repair that could take weeks. I'm at a loss and ready to cut the cord with Samsung AND Verizon after a less than stellar CX. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

*HELP THREAD* Galaxy S6 (SM-G920P, non-rooted) Stuck in Boot Loop

Looking for some troubleshooting tips/advice here.
A few days ago my Galaxy S6 entered a boot loop out of nowhere. I have never installed a custom OS, or even so much as installed a third-party app on this phone. The phone's performance degraded pretty quickly, within an hour i couldn't get past the Samsung Galaxy S6 splash-screen. Over two days, I've re-flashed it with stock firmware multiple times, and done multiple factory resets.
Today, I was able to restore some functionality to the phone. After re-flashing again last night and then leaving it powered off until the morning, I was able to go through the initial set-up after a factory reset. The phone stayed functional for about half the day, and then started crashing/rebooting again this afternoon. I was able to restore functionality again with another factory reset, but it only lasted a few hours. Functionality degraded rapidly again this evening, and now I cannot get the phone to reboot properly even after a factory reset. Right now, it's getting hung up on the Sprint LTE splash screen and going no further.
Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

i have fried my wifes samsung note 4 please help!!!

I recently bought a used galaxy note 4 for my wife, the phone was bought from a tech guy that worked in a Samsung store.
the phone had been loaded with the note 7 firmware, this was a little glitchy and began crashing the phone.
I assured my wife that I was able to flash the stock software back to the phone, I have done this before on other phones and tablets etc.
the software flashed across with no issues and the phone worked fine..... until my wife restarted the phone, it wouldn't boot up until I removed and replaced the battery, assuming that there was a glitch with the firmware I factory reset and wiped the partition again then re flashed the stock firmware, again the phone worked fine and sailed through the initial set up, once it was up and running I tried to reset the phone to test it.........
now the phone wont turn on, it wont charge, it wont boot in recovery or safe mode.... I have had the battery in and out many times and have held the power button with the battery out to discharge power......
the phone is dead! is there any way back from this or do I accept I need to start looking for a new phone for the wife!!!
