unwanted app after updating B394 - Honor 8 Questions & Answers

Hi guys, after updating to the software version B394, the phone forces me to update this app that I did not have before (and I do not want to install it anymore). There is a way to remove it?

Settings > apps and you can uninstall from there

About ota updat

Will i get future ota update if i downgrade my lolipop phone to KitKat? Thanks in advance
Sent from my Aqua Speed using XDA Free mobile app
Hi. I think that once you downgrade your phone to KitKat you'll be prompted to install the Lollipop update again.
If a newer update will be released after the Lollipop one you won't be able to get it until you get the Lollipop update installed again.
Basically you can't skip an update.
You have to install them in the order they are prompted.

If you are rooted and have a custom recovery, don't install an ota update, because there is a high chance that you may hard brick your device. Install anything only from recovery.
Am not rooted nor using a custom recovery

Have you already downgraded to kitkat??
To force the update, if I'm not wrong, you have to go to Settings > Apps (or Applications) and select show All. Then find Google Services Framework and click the Clear Data button. Then click the Force Stop button.
And then check for updates, sometimes you have to clear the data until the update is not prompted.
The only cons is that sometimes the play store after the data clear of Google services can't install any apps and you have to remove and add the Google account.

Help, about a app and root please. Nexus 5

Today I decided to go back to stock. And so I did and the i rooted.
But i inatalled GMusicFS and it says i don't have root, even having SuperSU and other APPs say I have. Can anybody help me with that?
Personally I think it's an issue with the app. It does not appear it's been updated for marshmallow.

If it's a system app, you can only uninstall it with root access.

No, L29 has 2 updates
I stand corrected: AL00 (3) L29 (2).
In my effort to remove China from my AL00, I must have removed the software update (NOT just shut off automatic updates in Developers Menu).
Any idea which of the apps that can be removed may cause this?

Reinstall the Huawei Care APK. You can install updates through that. In fact they usually turn up more quickly on Chinese devices, that way, than System.
Can just uninstall it again afterwards, then reinstall when you next need an update.

Thank you. I try to run the latest HiCare apk from apkmissor and it says it can't install because a newer version is already installed.

That means it's not uninstalled fully. Uninstall it using ADB. Then reinstall.

Hate to ask, but can you identify the apk to remove, because it does not have a Huawei System Update 8.1.11.309 (arm64-v8a + arm-v7a) (Android 8.1+) or an com.huawei.android.hwouc since it was removed or anything resembling that to remove.

There should be a HiCare one. Forget what its file name is.
Download this from the play store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=bg.projectoria.appinspector&hl=en
It will help identify the apps and their apk names.

Thank you. Very helpful.
The"icon" that matches HiCare is called HwUE and the apk is com.huawei.bd
Odd but what bad can happen removing if I'm ready to nuke and pave to initial state.

Disable Apps Permanently

Hey, I was wondering if there is a way to disable/uninstall system apps without root. In this specific case, I would like to remove YouTube and Google Duo, however, I tried to disable + force stop the apps but they reappear after a while. Next I tried to disable them via ADB but even then they reappeared like nothing happened.
I'm currently using a OnePlus 7 Pro on the latest OOS, I rather not root the phone just yet. As I don't want to void my UK warranty.
Any suggestions would be welcome
