How to change the country for Samsung pay. - Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions and Answers

Hi, I bought S7 edge in Dubai. I had changed the firmware to India since I was coming back for a vacation. Reason being I could use Volte with my Jio sim.
After coming back to Dubai, I installed the UAE firmware but the Samsung pay app is stuck to India version.
I tried factored reset through OS and recovery and tried installing the firmware again but still cant get back the Dubai based Samsung pay.
Any suggestion?
Thanks.

When you installed the UAE firmware was that a full flash with all 4 files in Odin, or just using a CSC zip? A full flash is probably your best bet.

Initially i did the full flash. I loaded the AP, CSC, BL and one more file. (Forgot the name).
Didn't work.
Flashed only CSC.
Again it didn't work.
I'm lost . [emoji20]

Then try this. This worked for me. No knox trip.
1. Go to www.sammobile.com and log in with your account.
2. Download the UK firmware from here: https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s7-edge/SM-G935F/XEU/download/G935FXXU1DQIC/190248/
Download the UAE firmware from here:
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s7-edge/SM-G935FD/XSG/download/G935FXXS1DQHM/186155/
Extract the files. Make sure that you don't confuse these two.
3. Take a Smart Switch backup.
4. Remove the SIM card and flash your phone with XEU firmware, after making sure that OEM Unlock is on in developer settings.
5. Let it boot.
6. After the phone boots to Welcome screen reboot it into download mode.
7. Flash XSG firmware to your phone. Do NOT insert your SIM card yet.
8. When it boots, set it up and run Samsung Pay.
9. Set up Samsung Pay and insert your SIM card.
10. Done! Now recover the data from Smart Switch.

Curious as well. Got my phone through Kogan and it says the phone is from the UAE, except I'm in Australia and have been wondering how to change this.

I used a guide from SamMobile and am now running Australian firmware with XSA CSC
Can't link it because my account is too new, but searching up "How to install S7 firmware sammobile" should make it come up as the first result on Google. The guide is by greenman.

From the US and have a SM-G920I

just recently bought a SM-G920I which is an international version of the S6, India to be exact. but i have this through a local carrier in my area. i dont know what is been done to it, but i tried updating through OTA and it prompted me that the OS have been altered, i did notice superuser installed when i bought this phone. note: that i purchased this phone at a place where phones get fixed and traded. so i'm really not sure what has been done to it, by pervious owner or cell service provider.
but it does say "seandroid is not locked" or something like that when phone is being booted and it's at the boot logo
i wonder if i can just flash it back to original stock state and not have any issues?
Those red letters are because the rooted procedure has maybe change kernel.
If you download a fresh firmware for 920i like TTT for instance or the very same from India you will not have any problem though maybe the Knox is already triped
Try flashing a new firmware and perform a factory reset after . That way you won't have any trouble

okay thanks, reason why i was asking is because theres a bug with power button, after 5 to 10 minutes the power button wont turn the screen on or off and right now i cant get into "download mode" goes straight to the recovery, any thoughts?....
1st G920i is not International version. The International model is G920f. Secondly, you have been cheated with a rooted phone. If you are not into custom roms etc. Suggest to return it. As rooted phones have issues with Doze on MM.

international or not, and i don't mind having a rooted a phone, but i do have a problem with not being able to shut the screen on or off with the power button, and also the home button is acting the same as the power botton
ive downloaded the proper firmware for SM-G920I and Obin but nothins is happening, it says fail, because it connect to "com(4) port" something like that
Check if the recovery let's you reboot the phone in download mode. Then you can flash the firmware through Odin.
Once you have all installed you can try downloading an app to lock the screen directly from the app widget

Samsung S7 model SM-930F "emergency calls only " after some usage period

Hello
I have this problem with my second samsung s7 black sm930F (SM-G930FZKAXEF) the phone works perfectly but after some 362 (*UPDATE NOW AFTER 162 HOURS )hours of function I get "emergency calls only " only phone restart or phone flight mode return to normal network mode and this bug is annoying because is a software problem ( tried everything replace nano sim several times no luck, turn data mobile off and on no luck either) the nano sim is perfectly inserted the phone works perfect but after that amount of hours when i pass areas with poor signal and go back to the ones with very good signal I have the latest update....
maybe you guys have the same problem
wait for update and fix
I had a similar problem on my rooted G930F after moving away from the initial stock rom that came with the phone. I found that the issue improved after using Odin to flash the May phone/CSC from Sanmobile then re-installing my current custom rom.

If you aren't familiar with Odin then maybe wait for an update from your operator, otherwise the other option is to find the corresponding rom at:
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-G930F/ - then flash it with odin using one of the many Odin guides on the interwebs

yes I did try a network reset today
I had the first s7 that was produce from my country and have the same issue..........
what is your up time ??? did you have this problem ???
Great. Rather than network reset try factory reset. If still does not work, take it to a service center they would reload the entire firmware without tripping knox.

Firmware for SM-G930F

Hi,
I do have an unlocked version of Samsung Galaxy S7; model SM-G930F(international model), which I brought from Jet.com. I am using T-mobile sim prepaid sim on it.
For the past few weeks its showing problem of re-starting and hangs on Samsung boot screen(first screen with Samsung name and galaxy s7 logo) with blue light on top always on. I tried factory reset, but did not work and happens too often these days. There is no fixed way of getting out of it. Sometimes it works by clearing the cache, at times by logging in on safe mode and rebooting, then at times by charging for a while and turning it on etc...
From looking into the forums and discussion, I have the feeling that its related to bootloop or bricked phone. The only thing left to do is install firmware once again with ODIN. But I am confused on which firmware to download. Can anyone help me with which is the best one to install? Below is the phone details.
AP : G930FXXU1BPLB
CP: G930FXXU1BPJJ
CSC: G930FUUB1BPL4
Any help of this is much appreciated.

Hi mate
You had a Marsmellow firmware you can basically flash any official firmware you want , as long as it belongs to a G930F , pick a country similar or same to where you live
Check here
Get a Nougat firmware they are working fine, follow the intruction in how to flash , pick CSC or home_csc , CSC will factory rest your phone will it leave it like new , if you use home_csc has to be same as the one you have your phone then you will not lose any data
SM - G930F
Thank you!!
I got the file downloaded now. Do I need to select all the AP, BL, CP and CSC on the ODIN software to reset it?

Today morning again the phone got hanged in the bootscreen. So, I decided to run the ODIN3 with all the 4 files selected. I installed the Samsung drviers and followed all the instruction and run the application with all the 4 files selected. The process showed success in the ODIN3 application. But even after that, the phone is stuck on the bootloader Samsung with Galaxy S7 logo.
Any idea what to do next or how to resolve this issue?

OK.... here is the SAD news.. I gave the phone for repair on a local cellphone shop. They did some testing on it and said its related to software. After trying to fix it with installing software and other fix they called me a while back and said `THERE IS NO FIX FOR IT`.
Not sure what to do with it. Bought this unlocked only 6 months back and its already dead....
Never going for another Galaxy for sure.

No, that would 100% lead to a brick. If you're looking for a way to bypass the locked bootloader in order to flash TWRP, give up on that idea. There is no way around the locked bootloader on Verizon Samsung devices, many people have tried many, many, many different things, everything and anything you can possibly think of and absolutely nothing works. Flashing stuff isn't going to change that.

920v is a Verizon device, the Verizon stock firmware should have 4G LTE. What issues are you having? If you're on Verizon stock firmware and have a 4G LTE SIM inserted, you should be getting 4G service.
If you're using the device in a different country, you probably won't get the 4G working.
The only thing I can think of is, find out which 4G radio bands your service provider uses, them do some searching see which 920 firmware(s) support those 4G radio bands, then download the firmware and extract the modem.img from the firnware, then convert the modem.img into an Odin flashable .tar.md5 then flash the modem via Odin.

I purchased a note 8 SM-N950F few days back. It was working perfectly till I got an OTA notification. I downloaded it and updated my phone and boom there it goes stuck on Galaxy Note 8 Powered by android screen.
I waited for 20 minutes (long than usual) then restarted it forcefully.
It then started to boot to android with closed eyes [possibly missing recovery screen] and after that back to galaxy note 8 powered by android screen [the loop continues].
I tried many firmwares with no luck,
Then I found a way to start it up, by flashing everything except CSC. In this way my phone started and I'm able to use it normally but with these following issues:
Internal storage 32Gb instead of 64Gb
Codes like *#0*# or *#06# etc not working
Once I factory reset it, the same problem occurs and I have to flash again in the same way i.e. without CSC, if flashed with CSC it doesn't boot up and the problem with that android logo with `x` on his eye persists.
Need help pleaseeee.

You flashed the wrong firmware, the firnware that you flashed was for the 32GB version of your device, that's why it won't boit correctly when you flash the CSC.
Find the same firmware version for the 64GB version of your device.

The problem is that once I boot in recovery it never gets passed that no command error screen. and once it gets at that point there is no coming back.
Phone never starts again and I have to flash firmware again(without CSC offcourse as mentioned above).

Try finding a PIT file for your model number, then flash the stock firmware along with the PIT file, the PIT file goes in the PIT tab in Odin. The PIT is what tells Odin which partitions to flash the various parts of the firmware to.
Place the firmware file(s) in their slot(s), then make sure the "re-partition" option in Odin has a check beside it, then go to the PIT tab in Odin and place the PIT file in its slot. Then click the start button in Odin.
If it still bootloops after flashing, try booting to recovery and factory reset then wipe cache partition then reboot.

This guide has a link to the PIT file.
https://zfirmware.com/download-samsung-galaxy-note-8-pit-file/
Download the PIT then extract it, then flash it along with the correct firmware for your device, flash the firmware and the PIT at the same time, not separately, make sure it is the correct firmware for your region/carrier also. If you don't know your region/carrier code, I'll help you identify what your code is you tell me what country you live in and which network/carrier the device is used on.

This might be a firmware that you have already tried, but it is all I can find for Pakistan.
Here:
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-note8/SM-N950F/PAK/download/N950FXXS5CSA1/251917/
Or here:
https://samdb.org/download/firmware-sm-n950f-pak/hg-9E/PAK/N950FXXS5CSA1/N950FOXM5CRHA/
Or here:

They are all the same firmware, it doesn't matter which one you download. They can be downloaded for free, but the free download is slower, just be patient and wait for it to download.

Thanks alot I'll try later today and will update here. One thing, should I be worried about backing up efs folder? Oem is not unlocked as device is in prenormal state.
Can I backup efs folder without root? If yes how so? I can't find any method to back it up without root.

So here is what I did,
I already had the same firmware downloaded, so I downloaded the PIT file extracted it and flashed the firmware with all files including the PIT file and checked the re-partition.
Odin flash passed.
Device reboots in recovery and starts installing the firmware same as it did for OTA update,
after installing it reboots again and goes to the same "No command" screen :/
I can only able to run my phone if I flash everything except CSC i.e. AP,CP & BL. [Same issue as stated in start of thread]
Any other suggestion please?
