Hi
I have a bluetooth speaker wich I can not make it the sound arrive. My Mi4 is running LineageOs (7.1.2), it connects successfully to the speaker, but the sound does not play...
The icon of the bluetooth is different from the "normal" one and when I see the notifications space, appears the player (in this case Spotify) as it was casting to the player, but again, no sound. When I disconnect the bluetooth, the speaker makes a sound (blink), telling that it's disconnected.
I have read about this problem elsewere, so I think it's not just me who have it.
Any ideas or help would be very appreciated.
Kind regards.
Hi.
After some time, I found out that this is a common problem in custom roms based on aosp android. It's widelly commented in the lineage forums. No solution right now.
Just for all you to know.

I will ask here the same as on Google forum ...
Some of users have problems with speaker. If I listen to music, it is ok for me (I don't listen it very often). So it looks, that from hardware aspect speaker works fine.
But when I talking (have a call/conversation), I noticed that I sometimes I can't hear people on the other side. Be more specifically - for a second two, the loudness drops a lot and then come back.
What is that? Software problem? Can installing a new kernel (when it comes) helps?
Regards
So, after upgrading to Android 7.0, I am unable to use buttons on my bluetooth headset to play/pause/skip tracks. The music plays fine, but the buttons are not working. Also, when connecting to my car's stereo by bluetooth, it says "phone not connected" even though it IS connected and I can play music just fine here, as well. Apparently this is a known bug in Android 7.0. Anyone else experiencing this? Any sollutions beside waiting for the 7.1.1 upgrade?
I should also note that my phone is not rooted, however, it is no problem doing that if it (for some reason) would help.
Thanks for all feedback!
Waiting is my "solution" too. AOSP is already available in Android version 7.1 ...
I have exact same problem and feel I have searched everywhere for a solution but to no avail. I recommend downgrading to MM until. 7.1 if you can't handle not skipping songs..
no problem here, everything works as it should, playback control, sound and track information ... i connect phone to sony mdr1000x headphones (LDAC codec) and car audio (SBC codec)
Hello guys, anyone use a bluetooth headset? if yes, what brand is it? i use LG tone+ that support bluetooth 4.1, a2dp and apt-x, but the problem is the sound frequently become distorted, especially when my kenzo far enough from bluetooth headset (50 cm +). Is the problem with headset or rom i used? i use miui 8 dev cn. thanks for help.
hey, i think its headset related. im using a AudioMX Bluetooth Over-Ear headset and it works within a reach of 4-5m. after that distance i have problem with audio distortion.
I have a sony SBH60 and it works flawlessly. No distortion at all, and little to no "audio lag" (I mean audio/video sync), at least I haven't noticed while watching classic youtube content, I don't use my phone for movies or TV Shows.
For me I am using Samsung level U and everything works well. Besides, I have a portable bluetooth speaker too (china brand) and also works.
what rom do you use guys? i use miui dev cn official. thanks.
I'm using latest xiaomi.eu rom
Sorry for the late reply, I'm using 8.1.3.0 Global, always kept my phone up to date, no issues so far.
Also tested with my in car Pioneer MH380, a Logitech MiniBoom (UE), and a MPOW Bluetooth transmitter.
I've never had any issue with bluetooth whatsoever, maybe a clean install could help.
Hi, anybody having their sounds lagging every 10-30 seconds? I'm streaming via bluetooth to my car head unit and the sound keeps disappearing about a second and it's pretty annoying. and only this phone having this trouble. Update/clean install doesn't help. I'm using global dev.
Hey guys, like in my other post, I recently installed lineageos and then Aosp Extended .
In both, I am having an other issue. When I am in call using Bluetooth , like in my car, and I switch the audio to my phone speaker, like to get more privacy, I can still hear the other side, but the other side can't hear me. And if I switch back to Bluetooth, still the other side can't hear me.
Is this a known issue? I have searched but I haven't found anything. Maybe I am not sure what terms to search for exactly.
Thanks!

Anyone else finding that the Bluetooth audio can be a bit hit and miss, the audio has just fully cut out on me, but it displays as if it's still connected and playing via the headphones. I had no audio through either headphones, switching BT off and on, and rebooting headsets didn't solve it. Rebooting the phone brought the audio back, phew!
Out of the two headsets I have, My cheap Sony WI-C310's seem to work better, Using my jabra halo smart headset, it doesn't seem to connect media audio if it's also allowed to handle calls. I have to toggle calls off and just media to use Spotify with the headset (this could just be that headset being weird, think it got discontinued for not being great)
Anyone else having BT audio issues?
I've got a Huawei smart band 6 connected at the same time if that's a factor, it wasn't a problem on my original Nord though.
I have been facing the same issue for a while now, it's pretty random. There are times where it works perfectly and other times it either doesn't connect at all, or has a very weird delay, where it's fine in the beginning of say a video and gets a delay mid way through it. There are times where it only connects to one earphone, just issues all around. Also am using the oneplus buds z2, so honestly would expect it to work flawlessly with a oneplus device. The earphones work fine with other devices.
I've been getting random drop outs.
Both with connectivity with my car infotainment system and my cycle computer.
When I had my OP7Pro, never experienced anything of the sort when connected to these two same devices.
I've also tried enabling Bluetooth Gabeldorsche in the developer settings, and that didn't make a difference.
Will try changing the Bluetooth AVRCP version to see if that improves anything (currently set to the default of 1.5).
Has anyone else played with those settings and tested the impact?
Tested with 3-4 Bluetooth devices and no drop outs.
I notice that when I put the device in aereo mode the Bluetooth remain active, but in the latest days this problem doesn't happen anymore, maybe was a bug of the first fw, and after last update they have fixed?
