If the device has 6.0 and you're trying to flash 7.1.2,there shouldn't be any firmware issues.
Can you post a screenshot of your error?
Cannt do screenshot it says updater process failed with Error 7 . This is while flashable zip of slim rom 7.1.2 .. Same error is coming in trying to flash different rom

Twrp supports screenshot.Just take screenshot like you do.Which Twrp you're using?
iTS 3.1.1 its the latest version and i formatted the whole screen my be that will help

i used TWRP 2.8.2.1 i got that error too,
try to move the zip file to your external sdcard, that worked for me.
Can miui official roms be flashed with twrp? Or do they only flash on MI stock recovery?
If you have it as a zip for recovery than you can also flash it with twrp

Are you sure? Because I saw that someone said they are supposed to be used with MI stock recovery on miui forum. But it was just one guy...and I never saw anywhere that those roms provided by miui website could be flashed with twrp, that's why I asked. Have you tried that?

because when i restore stock stable recovery image from miui 6, i got bootloop & not reboot to recovery.
EDIT >> i use mi toolkit too, but same bahavior. no reboot to recovery.

how can I go back to MIUI ROM ? I want one message which I took backup using MIUI PC Suite. I was on CM12.1, copied 6.6.6.0 & 6.7.2.0 in my phone (for safety). I did clean for system, cache, dalvik-cache, data. Now when I'm trying to install 6.6.6 or 6.7.2 it's giving me error.

Hi Bro, When i tried to install custom rom (InfinitiveOS-v1.2-ferrari-5.1.1--20150905-OFFICIAL) Im always getting error. Im using latest version of MIUI 7 beta. Steps i followed are: 1. download rom n gapps 2. Rooted and installed cutom recovery(TWRP) 3. wiped cache and reset everything. 4. i tried to install custom rom and im getting error saying something about MD5 and partition. Help me please

Whenever u switch from miui to any new custom rom , flash a patch 6.6.10.0 file .. u can avoid this error .. And then follow the usual process after flashing that patch file....

I have a l04 with the latest 5.0 emui Android 7.0... The issue is that I wanted to format the phone to sell and doing so I deleted the os from twrp on accident and tried flashing the stock rom given from Huawei, but now the phone is giving me errors when trying to flash anything on twrp it tells me zip is corrupt. Not sure what to do from here since I cannot get the 5.0 recovery/boot/cust/system img files. Or the update app to do the 3 button reset.

Well i flashed the old img files for android 6 and they are not working i'm guessing because i am coming from android 7, so i flashed the twrp from xda for nougat and that is currently where i am at.

I used the link on your profile for the go back to stock and I'm on the NRD90M test-keys official, but I wanted to get the b385 update from the team Mt firmware updater and it says it is approved. How would I update it through if the internal updater app on this ROM does not work?
Was able to setup proxy with desktop version and hisuite seems to be updating with new firmware.

To install
Click on updater .select settings . Choose update package and select downloaded zip
Its not booting, if we install from twrp recovery. When try to install from update package option, its not installing getting error i think signature verification issue.

Since twrp will skip signature verification it is installing, but not booting. It stuck at Mi Logo.

You are right, i tried to install on top of stable rom 8.0.1 its booting now. Could you please let us know whether we can install TWRP on this ROM and what about Rooting option.

Not booting over stable eu. rom 8.1.0 , also re-downloaded 8.2.2 rom. Not booting. Also did clean install not booting.

I am not sure what went wrong, for me its booted. Anyway it was not resolved the VoLTE issue, hence removed it and rolled back to Globe ROM.

Yes you can install through twrp in 8.0.7.0

I think I didn't. But, now I cannot even flash Arrow os rom. It says ERROR 1. Can I flash Arrow OS Rom from MIUI12 stock?

Arrow os is based on Android 11 so u firdt need to flash the android 11 frameware (a small file)
For the error 1 just follow the steps :
Format before installing
And before swiping to flash make sure to check the "unmount system before installing"
