Pro version is not supported in Amazon devices due to the modification they have done on android account management system.

Afternoon all,
Just looking for a bit of advice, I've recently bought a MXQ Android TV Box which I hoped to use on our main tv for Amazon Prime Video. I've installed the apk from the amazon website and logged into my account, I can see all the tv and films on offer although when I click to play the file I get the usual orange circle and then the screen goes black and I get redirected back to the choose a video. Seems to work file on my Samsung Tablet and Justop windows mini pc.
Any tried Amazon videos with one of these recently? Any help would be great.
Cheers
Dave
Looks like the trailers are working fine
I have had similar issues with the recent versions of the Amazon video apps. I began to think they just want their fire TV to dominate the tv. I now use a older version of their app side loaded from my 6 year old Sony goggle tv blue ray player which i never update.. It basically gives the Web site for the interface but at least it works. You might use yor Web browser and save the amazon video page as a bookmark on your desktop.

Tried dolphin, Firefox & Chrome to play the videos with no luck on the website. Same as you now though I found an old apk and installed that which plays the videos from the website. ?
I too have the same problem with Amazon prime video on my MXQ. Did anyone find any solution
Same here
Any news about that, i have the same issue, the app installe dcorectly, but when i run the stream .. it says that the app encounted some error.

What version of the old apk did you find?
Sorry @neffly27 I've since switched to the fire TV cube which has its own set of limitations but happy so far. Anyway I'm not sure of the version of the app I used on my mx box but it was years ago from the original goggle tv on a Sony DVD player.
Since the latest Amazon app store release, MX player is no longer compatible with ANY amazon device. It looks like the minimum operating system for MX Player in the Amazon appstore is now 6.0? Amazon devices don't even have a version 6.0 yet. Fire OS is 5.x. I own quite a few amazon devices (Newest Kindle FIre 7, Fire TV, fire stick, Fire TV 2) and MX player doesn't list on ANY of them as available anymore since August 21, 2016.
Can we please get the minimum fixed so it can be installed on the latest amazon devices please?
Minimum Operating System: Android 6.0 is now listed in the amazon app store:

Thanks for let us know, fixed apk will be uploaded soon.

oh man. Thank-you! Now maybe I can get my kids to stop yelling at me about their movies.
Will there be a pro version in the Amazon store ever? I'd like to purchase one. Just wondering.
I have some important videos saved on MX Player on my Kindle Fire. Does this mean I won't be able to access them anymore? Please let me know any possible way I can access these again. It keeps telling me to update but there's no button to update from in the store.
After many hours tonight trying to install MX Player on to a new fire tv box, I've given up, can anyone help on here please.
i have the latest version from google play on z3 compact , drop-boxed it to ES explorer on z3 compact , exported over ES to fire box but only to get error parsing package, when try to instal. have unknown sources allowed. tried this on 2 boxes and 1 stick, one of the boxes is new (only installed Saturday) the other has been factory reset, so I'm assuming that they have updated from Amazon and for some reason MX player won't instal. only last week did i have it on the old Fire tv, but since factory reset it won't work.
at the ender of my tether now.
many thanks
The only time I have gotten parse errors is from corrupt apks... Have you tried downloading it again? (or better yet just download it from the site... https://sites.google.com/site/mxvpen/download)
Only other explanation I can think of is that your z3 is on Marshmallow, so the mx player version on it is designed for Marshmallow and won't work on anything below
thanks, have tried the one from the site you suggested and still get same message, the z3 is on android 6.
is there any settings on fire box that i might off missed that i need to tick or un tick.
Fire OS is 5.2.1.1
cheers
Strange... as long as unknown sources are ticked it should just work... you could try one of the Android 2.1 - 3.2 versions on the site, but if your Fire TV just refuses to install it I wouldn't hold your breath.
Hi Everyone,
I recently made the switch from my 2017 shield to the new for my media consumption. I've never really had issues with the program till now. MX Player Pro boots up and I can accept the terms but then when the Folders view open I'm stuck and none of my remote buttons do anything. I can't navigate to the menu etc. Anyone experienced this before and knows a solution? I've tried the official APK from the play store since I purchased the pro version but also the APK from the official website.
I'd like to start using it again so any tips are welcome (It's probably something really stupid that I'm overlooking lol).
Current Older versions of MX Player do not navigate properly in android TV layout (Video here). You need a menu or "hamburger" button to navigate the app with a remote. A different input device like a gamepad, keyboard, or phone may help
I'm having the same problem running MX Player Pro version 1.32.8 (installed from the Play store) on my "Chromecast with Google TV" device (the app is installed on the device, not casting from another device). There is no hamburger menu and the D-Pad buttons on the remote control do nothing, so MX Player Pro is unusable.
I've tried installing MX Player 1.34.5 (i.e. the non-Pro, free, advertising-supported version), also via Play Store, and that works correctly. I'd prefer to use the Pro version that I've paid for though.
I've opted in to the beta version on the Play Store yesterday, but it's still on 1.32.8 with no updates available.
It'd be much appreciated if the Pro version could be updated to resolve this issue please, thanks very much!
I've just received an update to MX Player Pro (Beta) version 1.34.5 (so now the same number as the non-Pro version) on my Chromecast with Google TV device and unfortunately the problem is still there.

Its been fixed in beta 1.35. Beta fixes should be added to the pro version eventually
I've just spotted that it's mended for me now on my Chromecast with Google TV, running MX Player Pro 1.36.11. Thanks very much for fixing it!
The Netflix version that came with the device does not work ("We could not contact the Netflix Service, please try again later (-2)")
What are my options to get HD Netflix on this device ?
I can get Netflix v7.58 APKS for Android 5.0+ that can run up to 960x540p. (as per this article) but this is not HD isn't it?
the answer here is Install Aptoid TV and get the Netflix from there
FY Netflix for what you did ..I was quite close to cancel the subscription because of their obstructionism ...they told me it is not possible to run Netflix on my device. I have it running just fine
MBOX T95 is not a certified device. That's why the problem with Google Play Store and Netflix.
