The Netflix version that came with the device does not work ("We could not contact the Netflix Service, please try again later (-2)")
What are my options to get HD Netflix on this device ?
I can get Netflix v7.58 APKS for Android 5.0+ that can run up to 960x540p. (as per this article) but this is not HD isn't it?
the answer here is Install Aptoid TV and get the Netflix from there
FY Netflix for what you did ..I was quite close to cancel the subscription because of their obstructionism ...they told me it is not possible to run Netflix on my device. I have it running just fine

Hi,
I downloaded the apk for the NetFlix work around on the Android OS, but I can't play videos. The page says my browser isn't supported. What now?
I am using Vu 43" 4K smart TV which have Android 4.4.3 version. It is great for use as it have play store and support any camera or mic. I goes well with Kodi to watch live US TV and play games like Asphalt 8. Now the problem I am facing is it is unable to play apps like Jio Play and Hotstar though the app gets opened and work perfectly except the streaming video part. So is there any way to fix that issue?

Pro version is not supported in Amazon devices due to the modification they have done on android account management system.
I recently found out that a device require widevine L1 to play copyrighted content in HD from streaming services like Netflix and so(no effect on YouTube). And it turns out redmi note 5 pro(whyred) is missing L1 it does have L3(used to play standard quality) and not only this device turns out a lot of devices including likes of one plus 5, pocophone etc have the same problem and to my knowledge this is not something that can be fixed with a software update it somehow related to hardware so i would like your thoughts on this particular issue and if there is any chance that it can be fixed.??
EDIT: Just found a modded version of Netflix with hd enabled don't know if it's fully functional (can't test now) but it's s temporary fix (the Netflix version is old) but here's the link

Well that could be their marketing strategy but still man it's a little bit upsetting knowing that the user don't have the ability to play videos in HD
Hi, I have bought a cheap chinese android box a95x z2+. For some reason I can't play videos on Primevideo tv app. It lets me sign in but gives an error while trying to play any video.
The mobile version of the app works though but only plays the video in 480p. requesting here if somone can provide a working apk where primevideo forces HD. If it is a working TV version it'll be great, but if not mobile version would be okay too.
