On Noble S8 Port ROM with ZeroCameraMod (v3 - only that version working on S6) everything is nice Just look my signature and follow that, that's best compilation for S6 for now for me and for many peoples too

Go to ZeroModCamera Telegram and there you found in shared files Also in Noble S8 port ROM Telegram - there also in shared files. But be careful, really only v3 working, any diffrent.

I will be looking in a ".zip" of a "X-Plore" and that's a Nothing Different for a "OdexLite" (Doesn't working),except in a About "media_profiles.xml" (When.. That's is a Problem for LineageOS?) - When if some will be try at LineageOS (I don't tested in Mod,except of a Stock) then will be should keep write about at this...

But Good News about a Noble ROM it's a: SafetyNet finally works - Yes,even of a Kiboi Divine Battery

Mainly for me also Noble is stablest, best, fastest, etc and battery life is nice also for me (~6h SoT). SafetyNet always passed with N0G33K Kernel. About change resolution, you can set it also on OdexLite etc but not so ez as on Noble And I'm thinking there is also posibility to turned-on Surround Mod on OdexLite etc.
But about camera... Which camera you replaced, from L14 to ZeroMod v3 and doesn't work?

I doesn't tried again LineageOS because I will be Installed at Another ROM {Maybe if I will be have time then I will be looking at Work Camera Zero Mod} so that's problem it's a Noble ROM problem side. What problem you have with ZeroCameraMod (v3) on NNE5.1? I don't have any problems with that... All is just perfect. I didn't touched any thing in camera files because why? Just after flashed NNE5.1 I flashed also FixPanorama.zip then ZeroCameraModv3.zip (any other versions doesn't work) and that's it. All ZCM features working for me fine. Photos quality (mainly in night) is unbelievable.

That add's, XMS files are don't needed on S6. Only on S7 Edge to makes front-camera working, nothing other...

Yes I think I flashed right file on NNE 5.1 + NOG33K V7 kernel and I have the camera mod S8 app to set the exposure

well, all roms has its own mod in a system file, i cannot do this for every rom, and if i provide stock one modified for my camera you will loose all mods.
I suggest to try Superman rom, or ask you dev for compatibility
video 720p not working
I installed camera on my Galaxy S7 SM-930F and everything worked fine except for 720p video..
When I try to make a video at 720p, the camera app crashed...
Anyway maybe I've miss something, but I'm on SuperMan rom 2.4.1 and I've followed the given instructions...

i tested the oneplus camera(both the v8 and 2.0.0 version) from the link you gave and compared it with the oneplus camera from this link https://forum.xda-developers.com/re...s-5-camera-port-redmi-note-4-7-0-t3656125.The best of these 3 is the oneplus5 2.0.0 version but iso on the pro mode does not work.If you have to choose between the oneplus5, the moto g5 camera and the google camera,google camera is the best in my opinion.Also,i have a sony sensor
It depends on your camera sensor... Photo or video, And how you take photos, manual or point n shot.
Mine is omnivision, I just care about still photoshot, I never record video. Then I don't want to mess with manual mode. So, the best mod is google camera hdr+ and snap camera with LLM mode.

No need to enable camera2api or.make changes in build prop . That is required only if you using official miui . Custom roms comes by default with camera2api .

To address your questions:
I know what AR 3d emoji are and I should rename them thread to better reflect that and this is the main feature of this port.
I tried to remember where I got the Camera but I don't know it anymore. I did this 3 weeks ago and I can't remember as I tried a lot. Next version includes the camera from apkmirror.
About the kanging part: I added a proper credits section that I just forgot. I didn't steal any of your code. When you look into the update binary you can clearly see that I wrote it myself.

Edit: and Ambassadii about the UI. You probably mean the shooting modes. They are provided by shooting mode provider. Nothing to do with the camera app itself.

I probably won't do that as I already wasted enough time with this project and there is no reason I see not to update the camera.
But if you really want it you can just remove the camera app from the zip but I am not to sure if this will work as the camera app probably got updated to support that feature.

You need to be rooted and probably deodexed but I didn't tested that. Don't know what you mean with the second question.

The AOSP license is Apache. This means that you are free to do with Android whatever you want as long the license is maintained. Other than that it also mentions:
"You may add Your own copyright statement to Your modifications and may provide additional or different license terms and conditions for use, reproduction, or distribution of Your modifications, or for any such Derivative Works as a whole, provided Your use, reproduction, and distribution of the Work otherwise complies with the conditions stated in this License."

Hi, i've installed the last update of Lineage OS (8.1), but the camera app is too bad. I tried with some porting of Google Camera etc, but most of them crash for different reasons and I did't find a good solution.
Is there a camera app, or a zip mod that I can install by recovery, to get a better shot (or at least, like the stock app of the Samsung Experience)?

Works great for me. Make sure the gcam is set to Nexus 6 Hdr+ auto ( settings-> advanced-> config camera hdr+).
For video recording you will have to select camcorder.h265 in developer settings (settings -> developer settings)

I yesterday installed lineage 15.1 on my s7 Edge.. What a fantastic rom. It feels so much faster and smoother to me than stock oreo.
I have installed it with no gapps and have rooted . I wanted to use Google camera as a replacement but every one I have tried force closes immediately (must have tried 20 or more based on recommendations here, in reddit and elsewhere).
Any suggestions on how to get this working? What puzzles me is that others seem to have it working. Maybe because I haven't flashed gapps?

Whatsapp and Instagram camera issue - bad quality
Semi OT: is there a fix for the bad processing and quality of the Whatsapp and Instagram (specially with the Stories) camera?
With android oreo you need to have the "google service framework" apk installed for google apps. You can install the attached app or you can search for it on apkmirror. After installation you can freeze the app with titanium backup.

I think not, as of for now, but the dev had already found the problem and made some improvement, but still in progress, hopefully in the next LOS update there will be good news for camera.

The update for LOS is done already, you might wanna try do dirty flash over existing build. and update here for the result (i can't update right now).

I wouldn't say that there is a very big difference. ( 30+ minutes on lineage)

I don't think that's the problem, I flashed gapps and there isn't any camera app in app drawer. So, I am not able to use camera app and flashlight.
I decided to start this thread because all the other GCAM port threads aren't up to date ,specially with the increasing number of APKS
so,let's get started
Disclamer
The Camera2api port for our device is buggy as hell not only that but the dual pixel technology libraries are f**** by OnePlus so to overcome that and get both portrait mode working and front camera hdr+
you must be rooted(or at least have a custom recovery)
for non root you can still use HDR+ only for the back camera with lots of dots!

Lib fix breaks any audio mod like v4a, ainur, Dolby...
If you have audio mods and lib fix installed, any audio mod will not work and camera will not work in any app including stock camera app
You have to choose between camera or audio

In my case, using the Lib Fix in the link, doesn't break the stock camera (didn't try any audio mod). But if I update the module from magisk (to the last version), that one is breaking the stock camera.
I am using blu spark kernel. What does it mean to set it to permissive and how do I do that? Any side effects (potentially unwanted) by doing that?

kernel is either enforcing or permissive
hence the name suggests
permissive 'permits' apps from overriding system policies
enforcing enforces system policies
so use permissive when you have an app that requires it only
It theoritically impacts security
specially if you don't know what apps to install or don't get them from a trusted source

Hi all. Firstly, this camera is great. Using it on lineage with microg and using your suggested settings and am having no problems.
The only issue I see is that in lower light I experience lag when in portrait mode. Anyone know a solution to this?

less light = slower shutter
it is slower to get a decent image quality
and I don't think it's that slow
anyway there is no fix to that at least without affecting image quality
