Reverting Back to Stock Rom in Honor 4X(MSM8916)

Hi this is a thread for new users to revert back to stock rom in huawei Honor 4x from their custom roms .
Follow these steps only if have unlocked your bootloader and had custom rom installed already. Of course you must have already installed custom recovery (twrp or cwm). This guide will also allow you to revert back to stock huawei recovery.
Step 1 : Download the ROM Package from the link~1GB)

Step2 : Extract using Winrar. (Inside dload folder you will find Update.app file)
Step3 :Now Download Huawei Update extractor and install

Step4 : Now Run the huawei update extractor and point to the update.app file.Now the contents of the update.app file will be displayed.
Select the Boot.img,recovery.img and System.img alone and select extract by rightclicking it.
Step5:Now we need the adb tool kit, .(~10mb)

Step6:
Install and configure the Adb. Make sure once installed connect the device to usb and press vol down + Power button together.It will enter fastboot mode. Make sure phone is unlocked.
Step7:Now copy the extracted recovery.img,system.img and boot. img to the adb root folder which should be in c:\adb\.
Step8: Now in terminal window of adb , type these
1. "adb devices" -Displays some id of your device which makes sure your device is connected.
2. "Fastboot Flash recovery recovery.img" - Flashes stock recovery
3. "fastboot flash system system.img" - Replaces your custom rom with stock rom
4."Fastboot flash boot boot.img" - Flashes boot partition which is need to boot stock rom.
Step9:Now all is flashed.
"adb reboot" - Reboots your device.
Step10:Wait for few mins and your phone reboots into stock emui rom. Now if you want the second emui update. Download from hihonour.in and flash the downloaded zip with stock recovery.

I did everything you mentioned but in adb devices its showing No devices found. I forgot to turn on usb debugging. What to do now. Its struck on the window Fastboot and rescue mode.

Hey Huawei. I contacted you earlier for the bootloader unlock key and got the same from you which I would Like to thank yOu for same. After unlocking bootloader I installed MIUI ROM on my Honor 4x (Che1-l04) and it ran smoothly. But I didn't like it much and wanted to change back to my stock ROM. I tried to Install your Honor 4x Android L. I extracted the ZIP file using Huawei Update extractor and did the steps mentioned by XDA Developers. After doing All steps While doing ''adb reboot'' Its saying DEVICE NOT FOUND in cmd. I Found that i forgot to turn on USB debugging. I will be highly thankful to you

Beware!
This tutorial seems to be written very sloppy and doesn't work at all. (at least not on a CHE2-11)
After entering fastboot mode no adb commands will work.
"adb boot" must be replaced by fastboot reboot.
After applying your changes however my pone hangs at the first screen (showing "honor")

I've the same problem than you tosho1. And the adb commands not work in bootloader/fastboot mode. Only in recovery and system

some issuses
when i extract the recovery, boot and system.img files from the UPDATE.APP file with the Update Extractor tool, it creates 6 files instead of 3:
1. BOOT.img
2. BOOT.img.header
3. RECOVERY.img
4. RECOVERY.img.header
5. SYSTEM.img
6. SYSTEM.img.header
What is the purpose of the file which ends with ".header" extension ?

In case, anyone wants to know how to downgrade from Marshmallow to kitkat on honor 4x. Refer this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-4x/help/provide-downgrade-procedure-emui-4-0-to-t3409717/page2
Solution is given on Page 2. Also, you cannot downgrade to 4.4.4 directly from 6.0.1. You need to go from 6.0 to 5.1 and then 4.4.4. For details refer the link.

In honor 4c i unloked bootloader and rooted my device no twrp installed when i flashed twrp file i struck at honor logo......

i stuck on the huawei recovery mode around 90% . Wait for 3 hours and more also stuck on 90%.

WTF did I do? no idea guys...
I had my phone working fine, I found out that was an official lolipop, I WANTED IT.
1. I had my phone with MT7-L09V1... and rooted,
2. I tried to install lolipop manually wth usb debugging on, trough the phone normally then with the reset was jumping one of the recovery I had no idea which one was it but it wasn't working I guess because my recovery was 4.4 no idea...
3. Then I installed Recovery installer for mate7 android 5.1, in my pc is a software that allows you to install any recovery for ascend mate 7 I guess you know what's that.
4. I installed Twrp 2.8.7.0 recovery 4.4, and then I entered in recovery mode.
Wait for it......
5. I wiped: System, Cache, Data and Cust. Now I can't entered my OS.
What do I have to do now? I just want lolipop but now I'm scared if I f**** bricked my phone because I don't know what I'm doing...

1. Got and install kitkat 4.4 stock recovery(flash via adb commands, or windows app)
2. Download huawei lolipop to kitkat transition package, put it to folder dload on (fat32 formated) memory card and flash it via keycombo (try to insert memory card in card slot just after huawei logo
3. If it flash succesfuly go to next step, if not, try to flash system.img recovery.img boot.img via fastboot commands (fastboot flash recovery recovery.img) on bootloader screen (turn on phone with volume down + power button with your phone plugged in the PC). You can extract this images from kitkat rom file, there is huawei firmware extractor on the web.
3. Flash kitkat firmware via (dload folder and keycombo metod)

Bricked Huawei Honor P6 H60-L04

Hello guys, i need your help to unbrick my phone. First of all what i did to brick it was to unlock the boot loader, then used the Honor 6 Multi Tool to get a Cwm on it with it, it was EMUI 3.1 in the choosing. After that my phone restarted and now its hung up at Honor sign, and i can only access Fastboot mode but not recovery. I tried already playing new flashes on it with cust, boot, system and recovery and got a update on my sd card but it didnt work, it doesnt recognize my update and still only shows the honor screen, can anyone help me? Much appreciated

To successfully unbrick it, follow these exact steps and you'll be good to go.
Download your phone's latest firmware and extract system.img, boot.img, recovery.img, cust.img from UPDATE.APP using Huawei Update Extractor tool.
Flash recovery first, using this command.
Code:

Flash all other extracted files similarly firing these commands.

fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash cust cust.img
fastboot flash system system.img

While flashing the above commands, the phone needs to be in fastboot mode right? How to get it in the fastboot mode?

No it's locked. I was unable to get the unlock code from Huawei, am trying for the last 1 month.

Try to get the unlock code coz the message
Remote command not allowed
Is because of bootloader still being locked. There is a way if you can start a chat with honor representative and ask him to give you the code.

There is a unlock code calculator, use it.

It's trying to install from Huawei hi suite on PC. Take the USB off and try again.

Jeah, this metod will not work to anyone, who have locked bootloader.
But, there is bug, when bootloader is unlocked (atlest in fastboot its shows that its unlockd), but realy its locked.
Why there are this bug? i dont know, but its happen when someone try with dload method to fix phone, or when with twrp recovery are flashing official nuget zip. In developer options there are turned of option "alow to unlock bootloader", and thats reason why cant flash with fastboot thease img files.
So, at the end, this method will work only in certain circumstances, and not for everyone who bricked phone, due this bug .

Quick question, I bricked my phone when I did a factory reset and deleted internal storage and accidentally deleted important files while doing so. I flashed a stock update from the warehouse and completely deleted the system instead. I then flashed Lineage ROM which reinstalled the system but now causes me to get stuck in bootup. When I installed Lineage ROM, I got the following error.

Download the FULL OTA files on the last approved update you were and flash via HuRupdater method.
If you are on the Chinese variant, you can flash stock recovery via fastboot and then download firmware from there on.

Not on Oreo because TWRP does not support encryption and thus cannot backup/restore Data partition

Copy it on the root of internal memory, format data, install the zip and try magictricks again, it might work. Not tested.

It don't have to be the old os just Any way to. Root the 5.1.1 would be great also if there is any magictrick for the latest official stock or the old one case i got the wrong one
it is the same that i tried and not working

The probability older version of ColorOS is in the Qualcomm factory reset or recovery tool. As it makes a reset of almost everything, I guess magictricks would work again.

When i get into recovery mode and install the magictricks.zip, i get a error "installed version is lower than current". Why is this?

Things needed :
1. Stock Firmware (MSMDownloadtool files)
2. Magictricks.zip (we need the mbn file inside the zip)
3. Twrp (downlkad from twrp.me) choose whatever version you need, i suggested to use the latest one.
4. Root (optional choose whatever you want supersu or magisk, i've sucessfully rooted mine with magisk.
Download latest Firmware (MSMDownloadtool files) you can seaech and find it , to get think easier i suggested you download it from here

Once you've download it extract the zip files, now download the Magictricks.zip extract the .mbn files into the same folder you've extracted the firmware files before, replace the .mbn files with that .mbn files from magictricks.zip, open Msmdownloade inside and flash it (enter the download mode vol + vol - hold togather while you put the usb into computer, wait till all flash process done, and turn it on to makesure everythings goes well.
Hold the vol+ and power togather to entering fastboot, from this state you guys really know how to doing next... Fastboot oem unlock , and now flash the TWRP and ROOT your device, hit thanks if i helped
#edit, i saw the NV error messages jusylt ignore it dunno how and why that means

Once you've download it extract the zip files, now download the Magictricks.zip extract the .mbn files into the same folder you've extracted the firmware files before, replace the .mbn files with that .mbn files from magictricks.zip, open Msmdownloade inside and flash it (enter the download mode vol + vol - hold togather while you put the usb into computer, wait till all flash process done, and turn it on to makesure everythings goes well.
Hold the vol+ and power togather to entering fastboot, from this state you guys really know how to doing next... Fastboot oem unlock , and now flash the TWRP and ROOT your device, hit thanks if i helped

There's many problem with your solution.
1. After i extracted the firmware, there's no "Msmdownloade" File.
2. There's no download mode in Oppo f1f. I've tried pressing vol up and down and power, nothing happened, i've tried pressing vol up and down while put the usb to computer, nothing hppened.

1. It shojld be inside the extracted folder, choose the correct build as i mention it.
2. Download mode (its EDL) triggered using the methodes above. Make sure you've installed qcom driver take a look at device manager on your pc make it sure its detected as Qhsusb...9008
