Best Nougat setup - Xperia Z5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone.
I've heard from many people that the Nougat 7.0/7.1 is a bit messed up, people are facing heat problems and poor performance and battery life, any of you is running a specific kernel or setup to fix these issues? Thanks!

Is anybody else experiencing overheating issues with mild use of any of the tw jb roms? My android os and system usage are in the high teens when i check battery usage. Is this normal? Please offer some advice

Any extreme performance or gaming ROMs left?

Hi guys,
I have been searching relentlessly for a ROM/Kernel that is geared towards extreme performance. All the projects I have come across that are labeled for these purposes are no longer being developed. Does anyone happen to know of anything I might have missed? My son and I mostly use our devices for games. He has the Nexus 7 and I the Nexus 5. I have tried various different ROMs and kernels and when I look at the way they are configured they all seam to be geared towards battery life. When i play some games like Madden mobile I experience lag at random points in the game. Surely there is something that can improve this? I have tried using closed with that program that lets you run games at higher performance levels. I have tried setting both the CPU and GPU to performance. Can you guys give me some advice or point me in the right direction?
Another thing I have been noticing is audio quality seams to be lacking. I am getting distorted audio in different games and during other poi ts when using the phone. I have installed faux's sound control and set the audio to quality but that hasn't seamed to help either. There was one ROM and kernel that solved the audio issues as far as I can remember or made it less noticeable but I cant remember what they were. If you guys have any pointers please let me know.
Thanks,
Rocky
You could try Trinity kernel. And ask about settings in their thread.
And roms would make little difference, as they have no real bearing on performance.
But really, any kernel can be tweaked for performance. Usually at a cost to battery life... But that's how it goes. ?
I think all you'd need to do is remove the thermal throttling limits. Performance is great for the first couple minutes but then will consistently go down as the heat rises.
Remove or extend the thermal throttling points and performance will remain consistent for longer.

Moto G (XT1032) Which ROM for increased performance? (responsiveness)

Apologies if this question has been raised before, it probably has. I've read up on some of the popular roms and I haven't found much obvious discussion on the responsiveness of custom ROMs compared to stock.
I've noticed that my Moto G has become really sluggish since I first bought it two years ago. I can only assume that the majority of this performance decrease is due to "updates" overloading the fixed processing and memory capacity of the hardware. It's got to the point that even my browser typically crawls along and often crashes.
I'm now looking into rooting my phone, either to downgrade or to install a custom ROM.
Could I expect to see significant performance increases from this? Where should I look to find the most efficient ROMS in this regard? When it comes to my phone I care less about features and more about responsiveness.
Cheers.

Performance boost in latest T-Mo Update

I haven't noticed any battery life problems with the latest OTA update as others have, but it feels like my S6 runs more smoothly than it used to. RAM usage still sits at around 90% though.
Anyone experiencing the same positive change?

Battery life would be longer like that?

Hello everyone
i was wondering whether installing a safestrap rom i mean would some basic rom increase the speed of the phone allowing for underclocking the cpu for more life out of the battery
also less apps and processes
im running android 4.4 stock rom and the battery life is really really terrible
i wish you guys can help me with what im trying to achieve and i hope it is possible
