Hello!
When I use Flaunt, there might be the risk of damaging the screen of the Gear S3 someone told me, due to screen burn in of parts of the display.
Could you please comment on this! Is that the reason why the time limit was set to 30 minutes? Is it safe to use the app then? And how many time should be in between restarting Flaunt for another 30 minutes?
Best regards

Here is a photo of the model i am speaking of:

When in a call, or recording audio/video, the lightest touch from the outside of the phone (whether the edges, or the back) causes a prominent 'shuffling' noise. It's very similar to when you touch a microphone.. I'm hoping a Gel-Skin or case will eliminate the problem.
I recorded a video to demonstrate the noise.

Same with Mine, just something you have to live with

I think there's nothing to do about that. You just have to be careful while recording a video.
Im getting the HTC C740/742 case. Should fix that problem...

tried to look for you, haven't found any, anywhere. Seems like the fact thats it's such an unpopular and fairly new product makes parts availability almost 0.
is it unpopular? i dont think so... I think its because lcd replacement is not very easy on a waterproff device...

Euhh no. Difficulty of replacing a device's screen has nothing to do with availability. It's about sellers stocking up on sellable items, which the sw2 is not very sellable for replacement parts.

I have replaced displays in laptops and have seen screen replacements on phones and tablets, but I am wondering if a user screen replacement of the SmartWatch 2 would be something anyone would want to tackle due to the possibility it would not be water-resistant anymore. I have seen people complain about the entire watch body becoming loose and re-gluing that... but I'd worry about completely hosing the watch by messing with the screen.
Have you communicated with Sony about the cost (if any... eg, covered by warranty) of them repairing?

Until a thorough guide comes out on how to properly disassemble the watch, it is a possibility of having to give up the IP57 features. And although i did not call Sony about any quotes, i'm pretty sure it would be at least between 100-150$.
What's this like? If i have a drop of water on my phone screen it causes mayhem - does this happen with this watch? Do water drops cause the watch to think you're touching the screen?

They don't exactly make it go nuts like the phone. It does present its challenges sometimes with swiping om the screen, but using the rotating dial usually kills that. I use my s2 daily in all kinds of weather and I haven't really had an issue with it.

Nice one, thanks a lot for the reply

So I have a Honor 5X kiwi, and now I have noticed little white patches when showing a black screen. The display is on, such as when it shows a black wallpaper. I'm not sure what is going on. I don't have time right now to take pictures, but I will if you request them. I've tried the heat method and also putting pressure and massaging it, but to no luck. I also took it apart and put it back together. still no luck. Should I be concerned about it?

I'd say your display has dead pixels.
This can happen when the display wasn't manufactured completely right.
Sadly you can't fully bypass those production faults, you can only try to limit them.
As long as your screen doesn't get way to much dots a few are considered normal and (if I recall correctly) don't fall under warranty unless a certain amount of the screen is dead.
If you want to read up on that topic, here's a wiki article about dead pixels: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Defective_pixel
I hope this helps you

no, it's not dead pixels. it is just a little white patch and is visible on black wallpapers and backgrounds. It's barely visible in other colors. I have tried flashing different with colors with apps like "Dead pixel fixer" etc. and no fix at all.
Pressure marks?

Is there any way to fix these? The phones were not used for months and suddenly these appeared.
To that does not look like burn in at all I would recommend you try test code *#0*#(will not work on Verizon) and check the color tests to see what it looks like in rgb. Also are you with in warranty on that phone?
Screen looks like it's broken. Definitely not a burn-in. A dead pixel would be clearly visible, but you seem to have a long line of them.
Seems that line in your screen doesn't work anymore.

That's definitely not a burn-in
Have you dropped your phone recently?
