Hello all
Have anyone faced an issue that G955N LTE signal unstable after upgraded?
I bought the Korean version in HK with CMHK carrier, when using stock AQDB firmware it went fine, after upgraded LTE signal always no data traffic almost every min., (sometimes signal dropped too and connect)
I also tried installing customs ROM and even flash to G9550 CSC but same.
Any solutions? or actually G955N 4G band is not suitable in this carrier?

My Skyrocket always has a lower received 3G/WCDMA2100 signal than my Galaxy Nexus even they connect to the same 3G/2G network in Hong Kong. At some places, my Skyrocket cannot make any call on 3G but would not switch to 2G/GSM900/1800, whereas my Nexus can make prefect 3G calls.
I have tried different versions of ROM/radios. Is this a hardware or radio firmware problem??
Anybody has used Skyrocket in Hong Kong, Singapore, China ..... Asia countries??? What is your software version numbers please??
Desperately need help!!!

I have a 930F that I use in the USA on Cricket Wireless which uses the ATT network. I am not sure what modem to flash as sammobile does not have any USA ATT modems listed. I am receiving poor signal and would like to update the modem to attempt to remedy this. Does anyone know a good modem to flash for USA ATT use? Can 930U modems be flashed on a 930F?
Thanks,
Orthok

I have a 930F and I am on ATT. Since the time I have installed custom Roms, I always used the latest Modem file. I am on SuperMan v2.2 at the moment. I haven't seen any that have increased my battery signal over any of the others. Maybe someone can chime in of the 930U modem, but frankly, I would just keep to the 930Fs. You must of had a different phone that your comparing your signal quality with your 930F?

Yah my S5 on the same network would receive show better signal. 930FXXU1DQB1 is the baseband I'm showing on my 930F, what baseband are you on?
DQB1, same as yours. Even with low signal, I haven't had a dropped call or any data disconnection, just more battery drain cause the phone boosts the signal reception. When I'm at work, my signal is weak and my battery drains so much faster than when I am at home with a better signal.
I m using my G930FD (Dual SIM) phone from may 2016. On marshmallow i didn t have any problem. After I switched to nougat, problems occurred with reception on 4G.
Where I live, the phone uses the Band 20 (800Mhz) and working both Sim cards without any issue, everything OK.
At my workplace LTE uses Band 3 (1800Mhz) appear the problems. After a random period of time, SIM1 unusable switch off from network and get "No service, emergency call only". Airplane switch ON/OFF, and SIM 1 functional again.
You can see the actually used channel dialing *#0011#
I think the problem is related to nougat modem, and only on BAND 3. Tried 4-5 different nougat modems, but no lucky.
TEMPORARY SOLUTION: flashed back marshmallow 6.0.1 modem G930FXXU1BPL6 and now seems ok.
Anyone else have this problem?

I'm not using the dual SIM version but the normal one (G930F). I also have some issues with 4G data dropping to EDGE/GPRS after a call and occasional "Emergency calls only" message. This would either require a restart or a switch in Mobile data type (LTE/3G/2G) and revert back for it to be fixed. I've also tried flashing different modems like you've done. I initally had the NEE region in Marshmallow (which I remember had the same issue, but less frequent) and then I updated to Nougat by flashing the BTU firmware.
I will try the modem that you have mentioned, hope it all gets fixed after that Thanks :good:
I'm using the BTU firmware and the second sim is stuck on 2g for data even though my second sim provider doesnt even have any 2g networks connectivity.
I read that thailand firmware lets you use 4g for calls and then 3g for data, but I'm concerned that if its using thailand modem settings for the UK as thailand providers may be using different wavelengths for their networks compared to the UK. Will my phone know that I'm in the UK and use the right modem settings, or will using thailand firmware force it to use thailand modem settings at all times?
Recently, I've started to have random issues with phone calls not coming through to my phone. I noticed that my primary SIM with LTE has noticeably worse service than my secondary SIM. Both SIMs are on the same network, but the issue appears to be LTE-related. Whichever SIM I use, once connected to LTE the service drops at least 2 bars lower.
This is a Singapore stock Dual SIM phone with Malaysian firmware (for more reguar updates). Do I need to update the modem firmware to be more compliant with Australia's networks? Or is this something inherent to the phone?
Thanks for any help!

I never used the Malaysian firmware but I can tell you that I've had the Russian one before and my lte signal was pretty bad in Canada. I've reflashed with the Saudi Arabian fw and I'm seeing significant improvements.

Thanks for the suggestion!
I'll have to give it a shot and see how it goes.
