Is it safe to use thailand firmware for duos S7 in the UK? - Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions and Answers

I'm using the BTU firmware and the second sim is stuck on 2g for data even though my second sim provider doesnt even have any 2g networks connectivity.
I read that thailand firmware lets you use 4g for calls and then 3g for data, but I'm concerned that if its using thailand modem settings for the UK as thailand providers may be using different wavelengths for their networks compared to the UK. Will my phone know that I'm in the UK and use the right modem settings, or will using thailand firmware force it to use thailand modem settings at all times?

[Q] SM-G995FD on Freedom Mobile LTE

I have been trying to get my LTE working on my Samsung S8+ SM-G955FD with Freedom mobile. I have updated the CSC to XAC and GLW from the development forums and the phone will not connect to LTE at all. However flashing it to tmobiles CSC I was able to get LTE as it uses the same band 66. I initially got LTE by selecting the network operator "Home" once I lose connection from LTE to 4G it will not automatically reconnect back to LTE unless I select the network operator again. Any suggestions on fixing this?
Same issue with Reliance JIO (India) using VO LTE. Seems the phone does not support it either (the 6GB Ram Model)
up!
my 3g does work but lte not always!
I found this article around flashing csc, it seems like it's proven to work when they are the same model eg both g950w.
Keywords from the article since I'm too new a member to link directly. oneplus-5-other-unlocked-band-66-devices-may-be-incompatible-freedom

I would like to ask if you rooted your phone and changed the CSC as per instructions given in the Droidview website?
If you did, and the results were not satisfactory, then you would have tripped Knox, but gained little.
I am in the same situation, and am considering rooting the phone to try the method in Droidview.
Thanks.
I got s8+ from freedom and trust me I absolutely hate their reception. On a drive home or from I get interruptions of voice call for 5+min (highway drive) in some areas. Anywhere in US call reception is hit or miss. In Canada isnt always great other. Now for LTE well, it ok if you catch LTE signal. Allot of the times im on 4g. Speed are very slow. If im lucky I get LTE. So i don't know whether its the service or the phone but im not happy. I'll pay of this phone and move back to FIDO or on US network. Freedom is garbage to me. Im all over the city, country and north america - freedom isnt great for me. Fido was excellent but i didnt get any credit on the phones, in US fido rates are very high.

Network Aggregation to get 4G + (LTE-A) on S7

Hello,
I have a S7 SM-G930F with G930FXXU2DRA9 official ROM, without root and I noticed a problem on the aggregation of frequency bands.
My mobile operator uses 800Mhz (B20-FDD) and 1800Mhz (B3-FDD) tapes to make 4G + at 150Mbps.
The S7 is unable to aggregate these two frequencies, I also tested my sim in an S7 edge and same problem.
In the menu engineer with the code * # 0011 # I see that the S7 hooks well the two frequencies but without the aggregates.
Which means that I only have normal 4G on 1 frequency.
I put a sim of another operator in my S7 which has a 4G+ network with 800Mhz + 2600Mhz, and I have 4G +.
To see if it's not my sim that's the problem, I put it in a Oneplus 5t and there I have 4G + with 800Mhz + 1800Mhz.
The problem come from the S7 who do not want to aggregate.
Have any of you noticed that?
If I install a custom rom or flash modem, will that fix the problem?
Flashing your carriers Home_CSC and CP files are probably your safest bet. But if you bought it from your carrier then it should already have these, if you didn't it's probably using the stock CSC which may not be configured for your carriers network.
updato.com or sammobile.com should have firmware for your carrier, if you don't want to lose data make sure to flash home_csc. Normal CSC will wipe.
Hello,
I had thought but my operator does not sell branded phones, so no modified csc.
There is just one application that the operator makes available to automatically set up the APNs, that's all.
So I flash the modem + the csc from 3 other operator in my area using the same standard 4G FDD, the problem remains the same.
The only change is that I had a better network hang on some modem.
This is strange it is as if on the combination 800Mhz + 1800Mhz the Carrier aggregation is disabled, and that as soon as there is a higher frequency, 800Mhz + 2600Mhz, the Carrier aggregation is activated.
Unfortunately the Hidden Engineer Menu, allowing to make deeper changes to the connection mode has been disabled with Ota samsung

Using Dual Sim phone in Australia

Recently, I've started to have random issues with phone calls not coming through to my phone. I noticed that my primary SIM with LTE has noticeably worse service than my secondary SIM. Both SIMs are on the same network, but the issue appears to be LTE-related. Whichever SIM I use, once connected to LTE the service drops at least 2 bars lower.
This is a Singapore stock Dual SIM phone with Malaysian firmware (for more reguar updates). Do I need to update the modem firmware to be more compliant with Australia's networks? Or is this something inherent to the phone?
Thanks for any help!

I never used the Malaysian firmware but I can tell you that I've had the Russian one before and my lte signal was pretty bad in Canada. I've reflashed with the Saudi Arabian fw and I'm seeing significant improvements.

I'll have to give it a shot and see how it goes.

Can't connect to 5G network

Hello everyone
Just got my hands on the Galaxy A90 5G from south korea SM-A908N KTC. I live in kuwait city got the 5G internet package from Viva telecom but can't seem to connect to the 5G network shows only LTE+ where ever i go even close to a 5G node. Checked our supported frequency band the phone supports it. Noticed in the settings there is a KT twophone service and when starting the phone 5G KT logo appears. My guess it's locked to KT telecom network.
So far only 3 firmwares available for this phone china, korea UK. Can i change the firmware to another region like UK BTU change the CSC file and check if it work?
Thank you and sorry if this thread is not suppose to be posted here i have low posts
