For some reason no need to oem unlock (bootloader not locked properly??) so have twrp without needing to wipe data, but now remains the encryption problem as this trwp doesn't support it, I have compiled twrp for mtk in the past with encryption support but doubt I can recall what needed to be done
TWRP not working
When I install the TWRP recovery and start the phone with this mode to install the two files
1) no-verity-opt-encrypt-5.1
2) SuperSU-v2.82-201705271822
the phone does not see them and it is impossible to proceed further.
Furthermore, the operating system does not even start, so the original firmware must be replaced with the flash tool.
Has anyone found a solution to this inconvenience?
Thank you

1. Userdata is encrypted, and the TWRP here isn't compiled to be able to decrypt it. So you'll need an sdcard with those zips on it
2. The os won't start if it deems its been altered - that's partly what zip 1 is for.

No custom ROMs - I think there is a clone device [Panasonic Eluga C] so we have another stock ROM from them.
I haven't attempted porting anything yet, let alone building anything from source [a source built twrp should be trivial] - i've lost yet another hard-drive recently so light on diskspace & sdcards so not able to do much atm.
For completeness: stock ROM > http://ulefone.com/download/mix.html [newer than the one on needrom]
OTA > http://hwfotadown.mayitek.com/ota/r...NE_N_V0.6.9.1_S1712221514261911507/update.zip
Is this root method working?
Stock rom is located here Stock Ulefone Mix 4G Rom
when (android 8) Oreo for ulefone mix?
twrp and now?
Hello,
i have an old ulefone mix mt6750t with the screen damaged but still 90% working, i thought i would use it on android auto but i needed rooting.
So I informed myself a bit, go unlocked developer mode and usb, downloaded adb and twrp and magisk etc ...
I unlocked the bootloader from the settings then used adb and installed twrp which starts but asks me for the pass to decrypt, then I swipe and delete the encrypted data.
Then with adb sideload I install magisk 20 and check opt encript, but the phone always goes to twrp, it does not restart ... mmm and the orange mode message comes out but it should be normal ... someone knows how to go on to restart it normally and not with twrp?
Thank you

[Recovery][3.0.2] Unofficial TWRP for the Huawei Y3 2017 CRO-U00

TeamWin Recovery Project 3.0.2
WARNING #1: Unlocking BL and flashing a custom recovery voids your warranty. Please make sure to contact your carrier/seller if your phone is still under warranty after unlocking the bootloader.
WARNING #2: Make sure you have enabled OEM unlock and unlocked bootloader before trying to flash this. How you can successful root and install TWRP will be described below.
WHAT IS TWRP?
Oh come on, you know what it is - don't try to fool me!
In case you're serious, though...
Team Win Recovery Project is a custom recovery for Android devices.
It allows you to back up and restore your data, flash custom ROMs to your device, repair broken file systems, and root your device.
HOW-TO UNLOCK BOOTLOADER
1. Get bootloader Unlock code here
2. Install minimal adb and fastboot
3. Plug in your phone and make sure all huawei drivers got installed
4. Enable developer options in settings as described above.
5. Enable OEM unlock, enable USB debugging (both in developer options)
6. Open the adb tool you installed recently
7. Type fastboot devices (now a device number should show up)
8. Type fastboot reboot-bootloader (your phone will now boot into bootloader, if not, you haven't set up drivers or adb/fastboot correctly)
9. This step will wipe all your data! Type:
Code:
Code:
fastboot oem unlock xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
(xx is for your unlock code)
10. Ones it's done type:
Code:
Code:
fastboot reboot
Your phone will reboot and you have an unlocked bootloader!
11. You can now go on installing TWRP on your device
HOW-TO INSTALL
Make sure you enabled OEM unlock in settings, if you haven't please do that now by tipping 10 times on build number (to activate developer options), than open developer options and go to OEM unlock, enable it
Have an unlocked bootloader is required! (In my case, I login the unlocker website at provide necessary information and get the unlock code so try yourself !!!)
Download the TWRP recovery from the download section below
Make sure you got fastboot drivers installed (I will describe this below in how to unlock your bootloader)
Open the adb/fastboot application on your pc and go to the directory where your TWRP img file is downloaded
Boot your phone into download mode (First method: fastboot reboot-bootloader while connected to pc. Second method: power off your phone, hit power on and volume down until it boots to download mode)
Check again if there is written: unlocked phone!
If yes type now into your adb/fastboot terminal:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery Twrp_CRO_U00_recovery.img
Click to collapse
Type:
Code:
Code:
fastboot reboot
Now boot into recovery by pressing: power+volume up+volume down at the same time
Enjoy twrp
HOW-TO ROOT
Backup, just in case
Have an unlocked bootloader and TWRP installed from above (take one from december)
We will use this root method: Phh's superuser
Download latest official phh superuser zip here.
Put the zip on your external sd card of your phone (since we can't access /data in twrp)
Boot into twrp and flash the downloaded file
Install latest Material phh apk: Release post
Now you are rooted, congrats!

Available ROM & Download Links
The variants sold outside of China come with the Global ROM including Google Apps.
For devices that have the Official Chinese ROM, it's only possible to flash the Official Global ROM after you unlock your device due to region mismatch.
OTA or recovery zips can be flashed in the official MIUI updater app if it matches your region) or if you're unlocked, you can flash through TWRP whatever you want.
Fastboot ROM can be flashed by using fastboot or the XiaoMi Flash Tool.
ROMs:
Recovery can be flashed through the Updater app on your phone (if locked, china can only flash china, global can only flash global) or better through TWRP Recovery (if unlocked, can of course flash any region over any).
Fastboot can be flashed by connecting your phone through USB and use XiaoMi Flash Tool or fastboot.
Custom ROMs can be flashed by TWRP (if unlocked)

TWRP by xiaomi.eu and miuiItalia
The first versions are from xiaomi.eu and miuiItalia and aren't able to read encrypted internal storage. If you want to flash something with this TWRP you need to format your internal storage then copy the file over in MTP mode and flash it. So you loose your storage all the time. No problem when you want to cleanly flash new ROMs, but annoying when you just flash magisk, mods and other things.
Download TWRP polaris by xiaomi.eu
Download TWRP by miuiItalia
TWRP by notsyncing
notsyncing's version is able to work with encrypted storage. You need to enter your pin or draw your lock pattern in order to work. Switching between different ROMs like Chinese/Global/Custom you most probably still need to format your /data, but when you stay on the same ROM no need to wipe or format.

Guide: Install Google Apps & Contact Sync on Chinese ROMs
Chinese ROMs don't contain Google Apps. Especially if you didn't unlock your phone you probably want to install Google Apps and Framework:
Download the Oreo Google Apps package: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=818222786056028173 and extract it on your phone
Install every APK from 1-6 without opening them after installation!
Install 8.0-Oreo.com.google.android.gsf_8.0.0-4147944-26_minAPI26.apk
Don't inistall the remaining two APKs
Download and install the updated contacts sync 8.1.0 APK: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-contacts-sync/google-contacts-sync-8-1-0-release/google-contacts-sync-8-1-0-2-android-apk-download/
Go into Settings > Installed apps and find all Google Apps in the list. Select each of them and turn on Autostart Permission. Additionally go into Permissions and enable all permissions in there. Again: Do this for all Apps you've just installed or that have the name Google or Contacts or Calendar in it.
Reboot your phone
Login to your google account, by opening Settings > Sync > Add Account > Google
Guide: Install Global ROM (leak)
If you're on Chinese or xiaomi.eu ROM and you want to flash the official Global ROM that has been leaked:
Unlock bootloader
Download Global V9.5.18.0.ODGMIFA from above
Boot phone into fastboot, open fastboot console on your pc, connect phone via USB with your pc
download and extract official twrp recovery for mix 2s and name the file recovery.img and copy it onto C:\
fastboot boot recovery.img
wipe > advanced > dalvik cache, system, data, internal storage, cache
copy V9.5.18.0.ODGMIFA zip and region fix onto your phone (may not be necessary with global device, and/or with newer global ROM leaks. try without the fix first)
twrp: install V9.5.18.0.ODGMIFA zip
twrp: install region fix zip
reboot and complete setup of your phone
For magisk see below
Guide: Install MIUI 10 leak
phone: boot to fastboot

Guide: Install official Android P developer preview
Google announced the Android P preview officially for the Mi Mix 2S as shown here: https://developer.android.com/preview/devices/
Requirements:
Unlocked bootloader
ROM: http://bigota.d.miui.com/8.5.3/polaris_dp_global_images_8.5.3_20180503.0000.00_9.0_ef2f024b87.tgz
Setup after first boot needs to be completed in Chinese. Then afterwards changing the language to English is possible
Steps to install: Download Android P for Mi Mix 2S: http://www.mi.com/en/androidppreview/
Guide: Unlock bootloader
On your phone, login to your Miui Account, if you don't have an account, create one. That's under Settings > MI Account
Enable developer mode on your phone, under Settings > My Device > All Specs > Tap on MIUI version 5 times until the toast notification tells you that you're a developer
Go into Settings > Additional Settings > Developer options > Enable: OEM unlocking, then go into MI Unlock status and "Add account and device". (If you get an error messages, you need to use a VPN app and connect to a city in Mainland China, like Beijing)
Download and run http://en.miui.com/unlock/ the unlocker app on your computer, login with your MI Account. The first time you may have to apply for Unlocking permissions with your MI Account. The SMS confirmation code they send you may take several days to arrive. Please be patient and don't try to unlock your device before.
After you got your SMS confirmation code, enter it in the unlocker application on your computer and connect your phone via USB
Try to unlock your phone.
Sometimes Xiaomi will now force you to wait for up to 360 hours until you can try again to unlock. This is annoying, but you have to wait. Otherwise your account may be blocked.
Guide: Flash any Treble ROM
Download any Treble ROM:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/project-treble/trebleenabled-device-development
https://forum.xda-developers.com/project-treble

Flash Global from first post and WITHOUT rebooting flash region fix from carburano's guide

I think, he never test his guide himself... the rom is the same as in the other link here from italian guy and it is not an fastboot rom. So i wonder, how he flash this file with miui-flash... so i think, he never had flash this.
I've ordered the 8GB-256GB model and it has the Chinese ROM, can I flash the Global ROM regardless of bootloader status etc.
Well this time xiaomi forced me to wait for 360 hours before i can unlock, even though my mi account has unlock permissions since 2016... So i can't yet validate anything.
Thanks for your input. I'll adapt the guide

Right now you can't flash with locked bootloader. Maybe it will be possible when Xiaomi releases a fastboot rom. According some users this rom release will be in the next few days.

I suggest you to unlock it too. After ROM installation you can lock it again. It seems it will not be possible to flash with a locked bootloader even for an Official Rom.

Yes. Now i'm waiting the sms message to finish the process. The OP has all the instructions for unlocking the bootloader if you need it.

Development [AOSP-11] [UNOFFICIAL] [SW REV 1] Samsung SM-A125F TWRP

Mod edit : link removed and thread locked while waiting for twrp kernel source link.
DISCLAIMER: I WAS NEVER, HAVE NEVER BEEN, AND WILL NEVER BE RESPONSIBLE OF ANY DAMAGES AGAINST YOUR DEVICES BY YOUR OWN MIS-OPERATIONSInstall instructions:
1. Download an arbitrary SM-A125F firmware zip package newer than 7 May 2021 on SamMobile.com, whose Android version is 11 (Android 10 based firmware no longer work at all)
2. Flash by Heimdall by PIT partitions or by Odin by BL, AP, CP, and CSC tar packages
3. Back to the stock ROM > go to Developments settings > allow OEM unlocking (Developments settings could be enabled by tapping 7~10 times somewhere in About Device)
4. If OEM unlocking is unseen to you, take software updates first
5. Also inside Developments settings, enable USB debugging
6a. Run an ADB command to disable dm-verity thru your PC (Or TWRP fails to boot, this isn’t done for my part, so my device is being boot looped)
6b. Sign your own vbmeta.img instead of the stock one, but of course you could still choose as fewer items to be verified as possible; but my own custom vbmeta.img will still be released for you, if you’re relatively new to TWRP
7. Download the TWRP image from my SourceForge project
8. Hold <VolUp>+<VolDn> with device tethered to USB-C with your PC
9. Hold <VolUp> to unlock OEM
10. Hold <VolUp>+<VolDn> again with device not disconnected of USB-C
11. Press <VolUp> without holding to enter Download mode
12. Open Heimdall to flash the downloaded TWRP on the partition ‘‘recovery’’ with my TWRP image renamed to ‘‘recovery.img’’
13. Hold <VolDn> + <Power> to shut down, then Hold <VolUp> + <Power> to reboot to TWRP
14. Enjoy!
The Android 11 update is not yet available for my country, maybe soon it'll be available. Anyways can i ask whats working and whats not?
You should have posted the thread as development though, yet you posted it as a question Also thank you for your hard work in making this recovery!

Neither for my country, but you don’t need to pay attention to your regions, yes my TWRP build no longer works on Android 10 based firmware (told at my first step thanks?)
Do you have any screenshots of TWRP?

How did you disable dm-verity?

How to install TWRP on Huawei Honor 8 FRD-L14?

I have tried rooting my FRD-L14 yesterday. I have successfully unlocked the bootloader, OEM, FRP, and developer mode on the phone to install TWRP. I have also installed ADB (with corresponding drivers like fastboot like the usual). I have inputted the usual flashing command through fastboot:
.\fastboot.exe flash recovery .\twrp-{version_name}-frd.img
However, after trying to flash both TWRP versions 3.6.2 & 3.0.2-0 (as shown in a video guide to install TWRP on FRD), I am always stuck on the "Your device is booting now..." screen when entering recovery mode either through ADB or [power] + [Vol Down] buttons. I have to always press down [power] + [Vol Up] buttons in order to do a regular boot. I have already spent countless hours trying to look for a solution to install TWRP rather than giving up.
Some of the websites that I have browsed through seems to have a custom TWRP that is fit for FRD-L14 but unfortunately, the download links seem to have expired already.
XDA Developer Link with no solutions on continuing to install TWRP
Expired Custom TWRP Link Page
Link where I get my official TWRP downloads
My phone is a FRD-L14C567B402 (USA only) running on Android 7.0 Nougat with Hisilicon Kirin 950 processers and EMUI version 5.0.4....
Current Plans:
I am planning to download every single TWRP version on the Official TWRP website for FRD and try every single one of them... If this fails, I am not sure how to successfully install TWRP
Any other suggestions or solutions to solving this problem? Thanks in advance!

The right TWRP to use in Honor 8 android 7 is:
[TWRP][H8][3.1.1-1][EMUI 5.x / AOSP N][DECRYPTION SUPPORT]
This is only for Honor 8 (FRD) OpenKirin presents unofficial TWRP for stock EMUI 5.x with decryption support. Intended for usage on stock emui 5.x in combination with unlocked bootloader and modded boot image with disabled dm-verity (depending...
forum.xda-developers.com
The download link for the TWRP in that post is:
https://github.com/OpenKirin/android_device_honor_frd/releases/download/3.1.1-1/twrp-3.1.1-1-frd.img
To boot to recovery, you must hold Volume Up + Power Button. Make sure the device is not connected to a charger or computer, because it does not boot into recovery when it is connected to a charger or computer when you use that button combination to boot into TWRP.
