Is there a method for redirecting audio from a streaming music player (Spotify, IheartRadio, etc.) to play through the USB port instead of the headphone jack on the HTC One S? I primarily play music through my car stereo and would prefer to use the USB connection instead of the AUX port since I would be able to charge my phone while listening using only 1 cable. This method works fine if I want to mount the SD card and listen to the music stored on my phone but I don't believe it works for streaming audio.
There was an app called SoundRedirector that was built for the Samsung Galaxy S that did this when it was docked in the OEM car mount.
Thanks
I am not able to play music in car via USB cable. It just connects over and over again and doesn't even charge. Any solutions?
Hey I heard with lollipop we would have USB audio. When I connect my nexus 5 to my car through a USB cable and play some music it doesn't play from the car speakers. Whereas an iPhone was able to play music. Any help on how to make it work would be appreciated.
Probably your car audio needs a software upgrade to work with Android devices/L's USB DAC support.
Your car is looking for a file system, android USB audio is providing stream not a file system so this probably wont work unless the deck can emulate a small sound card or something to accept the input.
Can Pixel play streaming, not stored, music via USB? If it does, how do I make it work?
When I had iPhone I often streaming from Google Play Music while trickle charging. It also sounded better than playing via BT.
Is there an app, music player or otherwise, than can play from another device plugged into the 3.5mm socket?
BACKGROUND: Have an Android head unit in my car with an AUX in port. Want to plug my phone into this and play via the stereo. The AUX control app preinstalled is terrible hence the need for something else.
