[Q] Redirect audio from headphone jack to USB? - HTC One S

Is there a method for redirecting audio from a streaming music player (Spotify, IheartRadio, etc.) to play through the USB port instead of the headphone jack on the HTC One S? I primarily play music through my car stereo and would prefer to use the USB connection instead of the AUX port since I would be able to charge my phone while listening using only 1 cable. This method works fine if I want to mount the SD card and listen to the music stored on my phone but I don't believe it works for streaming audio.
There was an app called SoundRedirector that was built for the Samsung Galaxy S that did this when it was docked in the OEM car mount.
Thanks

Using streaming music app on car stereo

I have a KENWOOD DDX512 model and I use the USB drive to listen to all my music. I connected MyTouch to the car stereo USB port to see if I can listen to PANDORA or the likes. Doesn't work. I can see some of my files on there and I keep hearing the NAVI voice from Google Maps and then it goes to the next file like FACEBOOK notification tone etc... It keeps repeating...
I was wondering if there's anyway we can connect the streaming app on to the car stereo? Maybe someone can create an app for that if there isn't one created yet?

pandora works fine like this on my incite going into a patch cable .
How did you get it to work?
You need to use a 3.5mm audio input on your stereo for things like that, I don't think that it will support USB audio for all apps. Your Mp3s, and certain other functions may work, but for 3rd party streaming apps, you'll be needing the 3.5mm jack (headphone jack)

[Q] [Help] USB Bluetooth connection

I know this is not the best setup, but I have a 3.5mm aux input on my car stereo. I have purchased a usb powered Bluetooth dongle with a 3.5mm audio output. I have paired my phone with the Bluetooth and it connects fine. I can now stream pandora, or any other music app through my car stereo. However, I have two problems that I need help with :
1) audio from streamed music only plays through the front and back speakers on the passenger side.
2) when making a phone call, the audible touch tones play through the car speakers, but once the call rings/connects the audio plays through the phone's earpiece and not the car speakers.
I have no clue as to why everything else plays through the car stereo except for phone calls. Any help is appreciated.

[Q] tomtom and Music through Bluetooth

Hi all
Having got a new HTC ONE I have decided to use my sensation as a mapping/gps device.
I have got tomtom for android on it and in th epast I have just used the phones internal speaker.
My car stereo has a aux in jack so I was wondering if it is possible to get a Bluetooth adaptor to play the audio into the car stereo
But ( there always has to be a but) can I stream music at the same time?
ideally I would like the tomtom to cut out the music but I don't think it out puts the correct profile but even if it just plays over the top that could work.
is this possible or if not would it work via a cabled connection?
thanks

USB audio

Hey I heard with lollipop we would have USB audio. When I connect my nexus 5 to my car through a USB cable and play some music it doesn't play from the car speakers. Whereas an iPhone was able to play music. Any help on how to make it work would be appreciated.
Probably your car audio needs a software upgrade to work with Android devices/L's USB DAC support.
Your car is looking for a file system, android USB audio is providing stream not a file system so this probably wont work unless the deck can emulate a small sound card or something to accept the input.

GROM USB Audio out works with my Verizon Note 4. Kinda.

So I just purchased a GROM Audio Honda Acura 03+ USB Android iPod Bluetooth AUX adapter( SKU: HON1U3 )
http://www.gromaudio.com/store/usb_...uetooth_adapter_direct_digital_interface.html
With both the Bluetooth and USB AUX adapter it came to a pricey $229.96. What I got for that price is:
Bluetooth media and headphone profiles
USB out via AALinQ Car Music Player
OK Google Hotword still works
Con's:
You have to load your media into the AALinQ application to get it to play via USB, that means no Google Play music over USB, and all system sounds aren't automatically sent to the USB audio like with the Note 3 and previous Galaxy devices.
You don't get track titles etc via Bluetooth at least with my Note 4 on my '08 Acura MDX and the GROM connected to my XM 2 Sat input on the stock head unit.
I'm getting a weird slight crackle when audio stops and starts playing via Bluetooth, I think this is because the Grom adapter is connecting and disconnecting USB audio to the head unit, I got the same crackle when connecting my MHL USB audio connector when the car head unit was on.
Pro's:
The nice thing is that unlike a dedicated MHL USB connector which is the other way to get USB audio out on the Note 4 you aren't blocking your microphone while connected
You are charging. which I hadn't got working with USB to MHL.
Just thought this might be useful to those of us who don't have A2DP built into our car stereo's. GROM is compatible with hundreds and hundreds of vehicles, just use the Browse by auto make selector at http://www.gromaudio.com/index.html
I don't work for GROM, I paid for my unit myself, wanted to share what worked for me in case it helps one of you.
Oh and according to their FAQ the charge you're getting is 1A 5V http://www.gromaudio.com/support/usb-faq.html
