To God be the glory, my SlimRoms project finally works!
Sleek, simple, slim, SLIMROMS. This is the lightweight champion of cell phones! Not another CM based rom, SlimRoms is based off of AOSP source, with custom edits for a smoother, simpler interface. If you are looking for every feature, check out AOKP, or PAC ROM, but if you want to step back into the simple life with your phone, then this is the Rom to do it. Some say that SlimRoms is an almost "vanilla" experience.
Why build Marshmallow in a world that is about to turn Oreo? Well, actually I needed this for another project, but I figured that I would share it with anybody else who wants it.
**** This is an UNOFFICIAL ROM. Install at your own risk! ****
Downloads :
https://www.mediafire.com/folder/itcsuce33v2sc/Marshmallow
Gapps link:
http://opengapps.org/
-Which I personally tested Arm 6.0 Pico.
Be sure to follow these installation steps very carefully, as they may be different then what you are used to.
Installation instructions:
-Follow this guide to get your phone onto the Developer aboot:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ve.../testers-required-easier-root-method-t3561529
-Download ROM and gapps, and put them on your phone or external storage.
-Reboot into recovery mode - TWRP
-Backup what you had. (Just to be safe.)
-Wipe. (I personally wipe everything prior to flashing new roms, but at least do the basic wipe.)
-Install Rom.
-Install Gapps. - Optional
-Reboot to system and enjoy!
I do not recommend installing superSU on this ROM! SU permission is already built in, and superSU has been causing problems with the rom. Please read the thread for further details.
What works :
Code:
So far everything that I have tried works, such as
- Camera for pictures and video!
- Phone calls/receiving
- Data 2g/3g/LTE
- Bluetooth
- WiFi
- PTP/MTP
- GPS
- Multi-Window, just long press the "recents" button.
etc....
What doesn't :
Code:
- Let me know in the forums if you find any issues.
Features:
+Status Bar Tweaks
-- Icon settings
-- Clock and Date Appearance
--Battery Status Style
+SlimRecents (Can be reached by holding down the home button)
-- Edit color and display of SlimRecents bar
+Quick Settings
-- Add and rearrange tiles.
+SlimDim Navigation Bar
+RRO Layers Support ( Unofficial - Works, see post #4 for details! )
+Hot Spot
+Edit icons and names of apps! ( Requires icon pack. )
AND MORE!
This SlimRoms MM ROM was built for the kltevzw cid15 version phone. I have not tried this on any other device, but you are welcome to try it AT YOUR OWN RISK. You will need to edit the META-INF updater script to accomplish this.

Sorry to hear that you are having some trouble!
So, is it unable to connect at all, or does it have a problem only when you change network types?
When changing network types, what are you changing to/from?
Have you installed any mod, like SuperSU, magisk, multi-rom, etc.?
What carrier?
Is it possible to take a log cat after a fail? That would help a lot, since it worked here when I tested it.
Hopefully we can get to the bottom of this soon for you, and thanks for giving it a try.

It would not connect at all, no bars. Crashed when tried to change network to any network type.
No Mods, straight SLIM and gapps.

I will try to reinstall tonight. ..

Ah, of course! Thanks. My baseband is luduaod3. So I think it is od3. I've never been able to change it though.

Rom still needs development.
No Cellular Network connection on Verizon U.S. (Kansas)
Unlocked dev bootloader
QA1 Baseband
cid15 Samsung dimms
Edit:
Also tried with PD1 baseband, same issue.

Looks like I'll have to get some logs from you guys. It is working here in Alaska. You can see post #9 where I have LTE signal, and post #1 I have a voicemail notification.

Okay, I see the issue. This rom is being retitled for GSM users with the Verizon phone. Only GSM works, not CDMA.
However, for the brave:
Here is something I saw people were doing to another rom to get the sprint to work. I don't know if this would work here or not. I don't use CDMA here, but you could try to change the build.prop file for
Code:
ro.telephony.default_network=3
And copy the /system/rild/cdma/lib/libril.so and overwrite the /system/rild/gsm/lib/libril.so file with it. Essentially tricking it into looking for the libril.so file but finding the one for CDMA. Perhaps that would work here?
If anybody tries it, it would be interesting to know if it works.....

BOOM! I was hoping for a pure AOSP and/or Gummy.
I've heard some good things about Gummy. Can't wait to try it out. But before I go through the trouble of flashing and such, is there circle battery w/ percentage on this? That's ultimately the deal breaker for me so far on KitKat

Everybody make sure you are using the latest recovery . twrp 2.6.3.1 works for kit Kat previous versions do not.

Have you tested any of the custom kernels? I assume BMS and KT work, as they work with all the CM11 builds out there, but I thought I'd ask.
My deal breaker would be with Tap-to-Pay. Will this work with Google Wallet's TTP?
Downloading now. Really hoping this one doesn't have the FC and random reboot issues like some of the others.

No Verizon phone will, due to the ongoing disagreement VZ has with the Google payment method. Don't expect ANY rom to come out with functioning tap-to-pay until Verizon works out their beef with Google. You can try some of the hacks people have posted for 4.3 roms, but I haven't seen anyone report that it worked on a 4.4 rom; make sure you use one of the older Wallet versions, because all newer versions for VZ devices have that functionality broken.

Yes, other 4.3 roms got it to work, through using the hack and an older version of Wallet.... which I already said was the case. No one has successfully had T2P work with Wallet on a 4.4 rom on a VZ Samsung device yet... at least not that's being reported on xda. You will not find T2P working on a flashable rom until Verizon and Google settle their dispute; devs are not going to incorporate the hack because it works for some and not for others.
If you need T2P, try the 4.3 hack and report back to us if it worked... otherwise, stick with a hacked 4.3 rom if you need the functionality.

On it an loving it. Great work. Only other thing I need on this ROM is RAM Usage Bar on Recents and a notification status bar toggles.

Ahh good call. I believe my IMEI was there (I glanced really fast), but it might not have been. Does a firmware flash remedy that? I've never had that issue before.
No a firmware flash won't do it. Best to flash to a backup where it was there. Then make backup of the IMEI. There is a script I think on xda that will do it. I keep a copy of the back on my PC too just in case.

Hello and good news everybody!
Sailfish OS on Motorola Moto-G 2013 (falcon), this is a community port!
Status, download, installation...
Sailfish OS is a GNU/Linux based mobile operating system, which is gesture-driven for the ease of use. It runs natively as glibc (not Android's bionic), has bash and busybox (not toolbox), uses Qt for UX, and other opensource projects in its middleware -- which basically is just like a Linux on your desktop, but needs Android drivers for some of device's hardware.
And everything else you need to know:
Status
Working: calls, data, wifi, bluetooth, sensors, camera (with bugs), gps
Buggy: Bluetooth Headset/Carkit, Phone does not go to sleep if WiFi is turned on

Installation
Unlock boot loader and install CM 12.1 from the 'Android Base' link above.
FAQ: http://bit.ly/port-user-faq
Install the SailfishOS .zip over the top using TWRP
Keep fingers crossed!
If you just get the bootloader warning screen, hold down the power button to force a reboot, and it will probably work next boot.
Enabling OTA updates
Connect to the phone using SSH, or using the local terminal enter the following (after setting the devel-su password)
devel-su sed -i -e 's#^adaptation=.*$#adaptation=http://repo.merproject.org/obs/nemo:/devel:/hw:/motorola:/falcon/sailfish_latest_armv7hl/#' /usr/share/ssu/repos.ini
version --dup
This will set up the device specific repository to my OBS project, and the version command will perform the update. This will keep you up to date with my developments, but I wont guarantee I wont break anything!
If you do an OTA update now, you should find that vibration will work and the BT MAC address displays correctly in the About screen. These are not in the latest image.XDA:DevDB Information

Sweet.
Looks good, Gonna test it right now and report my findings..
Do the clean flash or dirty flash? Sorry.. Noob question
I tested it a bit. And it seams to be smooth. Wifi worked perfectly
I couldn't test bluetooth.. While playing around with it i went to the Jolla store and tried to log to it popped up with an error that said "Problems During device IMEI registration. Device IMEI wasn't saved".. After that i went to the Warehouse appstore and i tried to enable a repository and it said
"ERROR occurred
Transaction:/44_dececeed
Status:no-distro-upgrade-data

Oh and one more thing MTP didn't work

Maybe the signal strenght bug is due to the baseband version?
Heys guys,
What build of CM12.1 you guys used ?
I have a XT1032, managed to install SailfishOS with cm-12.1-20151117-SNAPSHOT-YOG7DAO1K9-falcon.zip and i was able to boot into SailfishOS, problem is i cant stay in it ... it auto reboots after like 1min or so..
Anyone with same issue?
Cheers
Try with any Unofficial builds!

A little bit off topic but...
I've been using many different browsers to translate the Vietnamese to English but they all leave me curious. It seems the first few versions of Lamlazyrom had a sprint base and this last version is from a chinese dual sim GSM base N9200ZCU2BPC5?
Have you guys figured out how to get the sprint cdma radio working on all the gsm note 5 roms?
I dont know if it is my poor sprint signal but i had to use an app from the playstore to get into the apn settings to add/remove/modify a few things to get data and hot spot working.
Maybe this should be moved to the Original Andoid Development with the other Kernels so people don't miss out?
can anyone make a zip from the kernel ??

giving it a test and will report back thanks
@lamlazy
Ok, bug reporting...
Flashing this removes, hides or disables the supersu application if it is already installed. Flashing Supersu 2.71 does not restore the app.
Fresh flashed the kernel in a rom with the same result, the supersu app is missing but additionally there is no longer any prompts for root access which means ALL apps get access without asking.
Also, the kernel will not run by itself from a fresh flash unless it gets patched by systemless root first.

#SomethingForTheSignature
Edit : A couple of issues I see
1) The file is bloated. Like, actually bloated to about 140% of its usual size. My builds have been ~270mB without Gello browser and ~310mB with Gello + Snap, so I guess there's plenty of bloat apps in there or you have huge vendor trees.
2) Why u mediafire? You can keep them on my server or throw them onto the far superior AndroidFileHost (after you get developer status and FTP access, may take a couple of days) using the command I will obviously share with you over Hangouts if you want.

Yes, to both. I've been meaning to add some more info to the OP, but I got distracted. Will get back to work on it now...
If you are coming from RR, you can make a TWRP backup of your data partition, and after 1st install and boot of aokp, and once you are at the home screen, reboot into twrp and flash your data backup. It should boot with all your apps and settings. This method worked for me and Neporood.
I lost LTE signal when I did it on mine, but clearing modem status fixed it for me. I dunno if it will affect anyone else, might have been an app I had installed.
Enjoy!
Do you have volte?
If VOLTE doesn't work on CM13 or RR what makes you think its gonna work on this?
None of the custom ROMs (aside from CF) even have the files needed for VoLTE (IMS and numerous related frameworks and stuff). With that said, I'm in the process of attempting to insert all the necessary files and get VoLTE working.

I would consider CF to be modified stock ROM running a stock kernel. CF is a modified Verizon XT1254 debloated stock ROM, is it not?
For instance, all the custom ROMs have to run CM-based kernel, correct? Even AOSP Mokee and the now-discontinued AOSP Nexus Experience -- which are not based on CM -- still use CM kernel. Even BHB27 kernel is based on CM kernel code. Whereas CF is using stock kernel, does it not?

Correct. That's exactly why I excluded CF's ROM. While it is a "custom" ROM in the sense that it's not stock, it's built on stock as an optimized/modified stock ROM. It's the only "custom" ROM to have VoLTE for Verizon, and technically the only ROM to have VoLTE on any Quark, since all the other custom ROMs don't have any IMS files.
Hello... sorry for the trivial question but...

[ROM][UNOFFICIAL][perry] LineageOS 14.1 for Moto E4 Qualcomm

I have worked to bring LineageOS to the Qualcomm based Moto E4, code-named perry. The device trees I have built are commonized with all other 32 bit Motorola Qualcomm devices with a 3.18 Linux kernel. The intention is for these to become the official LineageOS device trees once we are ready for that.
The device specific code for this device is still very new and a work in progress. Don't expect everything to be working or complete. However, at least on GSM devices, this ROM is stable and functional enough for daily use on GSM devices. I don't have a CDMA device, and we don't even have CDMA networks in Canada any more, so I don't know what the status of CDMA is.
Known working:
Booting
Graphics and video playback
RIL
Connecting to GSM networks, calls, and data
Fingerprint sensor
Camera
Audio
WiFi
Sensors
GPS
Untested or possibly broken
Modifying some camera settings may cause the camera to behave oddly
CDMA support may be broken out of the box
Let me know if you encounter other device specific issues
See this post by @SeanStar to fix CDMA for now: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75597767&postcount=118
Changelog:
Code:

Installation Instructions
Prerequisites:
This is for the Qualcomm based Moto E4 only! If you have a Mediatek phone, don't install this. First ensure your phone is bootloader unlocked. Follow the procedure on Motorola's website if required. Next, ensure that you you have my TWRP installed on your device. I only support my own recovery builds. If you are using somebody else's recovery, you're on your own. Once that is all taken care of, you can boot into TWRP and install the ROM.
Initial/Clean Installation
Using TWRP, wipe system, data, cache, and dalvik.
Install my LineageOS zip file, and optionally GApps.
Optionally install the ARM su addon and/or a weather provider downloaded from the LineageOS extras page.
Reboot into your fresh installation of LineageOS.
If you want GApps, you MUST install the same time as the initial OS installation. Else, you will need to wipe data and start again.
Upgrading:
When upgrading from a previous version of my own LineageOS builds, dirty flashing should be fine unless I say otherwise. Just install the LineageOS zip over an existing installation. There is no need to reinstall GApps.
Edit: disregard, jumped the gun and didn't read full post lol

Write the two XML files to /system/etc/. One way to do this would be to mount /system in TWRP, then ADB push the files to /system/etc/.

Those apns are pretty old, you brought back some Moto G falcon memories with that zip, lol. Anyway, the zip isn't quite compatible with this device and the apns are pretty different than what they should be. Unfortunately I haven't been able to get the stock apns even working at all. I have full signal bars and can get the carrier to read sprint or boost, but just can't get it to connect. So I think it may be just a matter of getting the apns right, otherwise it may not be reading the sim card right. It does say please insert a sim card on the initial setup so that may be it.
