"I have had this exact same question for a while now and after reading a lot on this, it seems that the reason why these downloaders offer such "higher quality" settings is because they are actually re-encoding the youtube file to a higher bitrate (e.g. 320 kbp/s) so to give you the impression that will get a higher quality media file.
But when you re-encode a file, quality can never get better than what it was on the original file (which was already encoded by youtube btw!), and because of the higher bitrate in those "high quality" settings, the file size will inevitably get bigger. So I think a fair advice would be to stick with the "original quality" setting, hoping that the software will not re-encode the file anyway only for purposes of letting you choose a different format, which would still compromise the quality other than being useless, Youtube downloaders use this just for marketing reasons"

It's anyway to implement the option to share directly to the YouTube mp3 app, I see the app pop our in the share option. But a don't really work. What I mean is share hit YouTube mp3 and the link already be there when open up. Using galaxy s8+ all good here.

Don't worry about the 320 kbps mp3 download feature I requested because given what @khangneovip knows(I trust him) "YouTube doesn't serve 320kbps audio bitrate (maximum audio bitrate is ~190kbps). So it doesn't make sense when convert it to 320kbps, just make the file bigger but the audio quality still the same."

not let me download or with 3g or wifi, it gives me error for each file you try to download = (, is what I can hear, so it seems weird, then try changing the directory but nothing, the same error that an error occurred downloading

The application may crash when it is just installed. Depending upon the size of your playlist, it may crash several times. It is due to the fetching of Album Arts and Artist photographs. The issue has been noted down by me. Please don't report the same bug. Due to the same reason, you may feel that the app is laggy. But when it fetches and loads all the photographs in the required place, you won't feel any kind of lag or any kind of crash. I am looking forward to fixing this ASAP.

The music player is neat, and you should continue to work on it. I need to address some issues.
This is the translucency issue. As you can see the content under laps under the status bar. I guess you may have used the xml code for adding the translucency.
I suggest you add the following code to your projects styles.xml where you have declared the translucency code.

This should get rid of the underlapping my friend.

Maybe i should make a mirror.. Mediafire is currupting downloads .. It said parsing error for the same apk when downloaded from media fire and it didn't when I mirrored it to dropbox .(my friend reported me this)

I have been testing it for a couple of months now, on 2 devices - phone and tablet -, in parallel with the official YouTube and YouTube downloader.
I am very impressed! And thank you for making it adfree.
A few observations:
* SnapTube listens to all requests for web access. This is very annoying, as I keep getting prompted whether I want to open Chrome or SnapTube everytime an application launches a weblink. This needs to be more tightly controlled and restricted.
* Is there anyway to download videos in higher res than 720p (YTD can do it)?
* Does it automatically skip YouTube adverts (I do not know since I use xposed YouTube AdAway module)?
I love this app!!! I have only one question... why is not possible to change the download directory?? it would be a great new feature!!!

App is really awesome, exactly what I was looking for.
I just want that I can specify which path on SD card to download.
Other than that marvelous job, keep up.
Almost perfect, the two only things I didn't like about it are that it's always running in background and it always appears like and option to open a web link with my browser, even when isn't a YouTube URL, just a normal website link. But in general it's awesome.
Very fast but no 1080p selection but 720p is OK though you can get 1080p on tubemate.. I like this one (fast).. Planet Earth is 1080p

Was using 3g that was the problem.. And then i figured out the quality settings.. Great app by the way..

So someone explain to me the deal with this app... what's the source of this music? This seems too good to be true.
I'm also afraid that this is just basic mp3 being transcoded, converted into another bitrate.
Anyway, if it's real we have here a real good app

Everything seems great so far. I guess my only "requests" would be if it would be possible to edit the ID tags of the song when downloaded, or have the option to adjust them on download. Also, on the search screen, would it be possible to show the artist as well as song name? If you search a title, it's pretty much guessing which artist you're looking for. Besides that, nothing to complain. Works well and straightforward!

This app makes downloading SoundCloud songs easy, But it's still downloading at the lowest quality 128 kbs like other downloaders.

To answer your first request, yes I'm planning to add Meta data editor in future updates. Now coming to the second question, you can search for the entire title of the song along with the artist name to get best results as it is already implemented. Keep in mind that these songs are fetched from the public library, so in case you can't find any track you're looking for, then chances are it's copyrighted or premium content (DownCloud excludes that).

Hey, thanks for the feedback.
I'm afraid it's the limitation in SoundCloud's API (streaming or downloading only at 128 kbs) itself so there's nothing I can do about it.

Hey, App is constantly crashing at first startup on my Samsung Sprint S6 running Nougat 7.0.
this is amazing, i though i'll never can download the songs from soundcloud, but now i can download easy with your app, thank you!

Also on my Nexus 4 running Nitrogen OS on Android 7.1.1 (I still haven't had time to update to 7.1.2).
Update: It would seem that there is a problem with the XDA Labs APK, I had downloaded it from the OP and it functions properly for me.
