no love for my app, is it that bad??

The ui is too complex imo. I don't think the card thing works well on apps like music players.

@ckyy : hmm, in fact, my goal was to simplify the UI, because I find that other music player open too much "windows"/activities...and present everything in a intuitive way Artist/album/song in one place.
what do you find complexe? the fact that the card are close and you have to click (open..) artist then album to get the song? or is it visually ?

Not too bad. Tried out and was downloading album art but after it completed, I see many of my songs still without. If I pressed and hold a song album, I get to search last.FM and sometimes, I get many album to choose, but am not sure if which of them was right or not, as it was searching my folder name instead of my songs.

@oscar mok: what is your android version? 4.3? I only test nexus 7 on a VM, and didn't occur any crash.

EDIT: sorry, I didn't read well, and you have the galaxy note. I'm developing on this device (but stock rom), so it's propably a ROM issue. android 4.2 or 4.3??

last.fm search work with the album name only, so it is needed that at less the album name is right. After you have choose a album proposition, you can check with the red button next the track that you have choose the good album.

I like the layout and UI so kudos to you for that. Just need to fix some stability issues because it force closes on me sometimes, but the whole experience in the app is a bit jittery. But good app for beta form :good:

Honestly this is the only player Ive really liked, next to poweramp.
I've tried pretty much all of them, used N7 for awhile.. but poweramp is my main player.
This might be taking some time away from poweramp now though! lol
One suggestion~ it would be awesome to have a "dark" theme preference. or am i just missing it?

Really nice minimalistic UI, kudos :good:. Anyway, if your download album art feature can replicate Sony's download music info i.e. search and replace tags as well as album arts using file names I will be so happy :laugh:

The application may crash when it is just installed. Depending upon the size of your playlist, it may crash several times. It is due to the fetching of Album Arts and Artist photographs. The issue has been noted down by me. Please don't report the same bug. Due to the same reason, you may feel that the app is laggy. But when it fetches and loads all the photographs in the required place, you won't feel any kind of lag or any kind of crash. I am looking forward to fixing this ASAP.

Its great to see you're back up after an incident a while ago. Anyways the past is past.
The music player is neat, and you should continue to work on it. I need to address some issues.
This is the translucency issue. As you can see the content under laps under the status bar. I guess you may have used the xml code for adding the translucency.
I suggest you add the following code to your projects styles.xml where you have declared the translucency code.
android:fitSystemWindows=true
This should get rid of the underlapping my friend.

Maybe i should make a mirror.. Mediafire is currupting downloads .. It said parsing error for the same apk when downloaded from media fire and it didn't when I mirrored it to dropbox .(my friend reported me this)

Hello XDA, I'm the developer of a new Android app called Billy. It lets you browse and listen to the most popular pop/rock/dance songs currently.

The songs list is grabbed from Billboard.com, which is one of the most credible sources in song popularity charts. Songs are then streamed from SoundCloud. Apart from listening to songs, you can also watch the corresponding official YouTube video of each of those tracks and have a look at the most popular albums of artists.

Feature request: can you implement a link/search to external/other cloud player (for me spotify....)?

Quite nice. Note: There are several of these on Play with more feeds, but awaiting more feeds here. UI is quite navigable.
Since the screen is quite sparse, used Xposed Appsettings to show more songs. Lower "DPI" and magnified font size to compensate so still readable. However, tab-bar now covers half of the title bar. So ... might suggest the number of songs/pane be adjustable and scaled within the app rather than from outside (anyone tried this using Paranoid's DPI settings?).
Might also embed a simple youtube player rather than rely on that app being around (since there are alternatives and many of us do not keep it).

I'm supporting your app, I'm even going to recommend it to my small reader base of a local spanish Android blog we're starting, hope it gets you a bit more users and constructive feedback.
My Opinion: Is pretty good as a discovery app, I'm having no errors luckily. A way for autoplaying the sections (playlist?) would be nice. I also backup the Deezer/Rdio/Spotify linking idea. Great job man! I like your app.

I'm having the same trouble like everyone else. And it can't play the YouTube video without a YouTube app.

Yes, it happens with a few songs because SoundCloud is not providing MP3s for them. I'm trying to fix this.
Next, I think I made a bad generalization that everyone will have the official YouTube app. I'll have to fix this one too.

WHOOPS:silly:I didn't see that and i too use xposed appsettings...but i keep my phone's default dpi at 145 then upscale systemui.apk and nova launcher to 160 . then its all ok but it cuts the actionbar text for only billy when i enable expanded mode

Something related to 64 bit must be the issue. I'll look into it and push a update soon. If possible, can you try it on some other device and report back? Thanks!
EDIT: Are you sure this issue is not related to your device? Please try installing some other .apk file and let me know how it goes.

Hey, i checked out your app, preety cool and hard work out there. But a little problem.
When i click i agree at first screen of disclaimer, it shows a loading screen saying initial setup. And then nothing happens. I am just back to the disclaimer screen. Any thought about this...???

Seems to crash on launch. I'm on an HTC one m8 running 4.4.
The error I get is this: Failed to get ActionView from an ActionMenuItemView: mItemData at com.afollestad.appthemeengine.inflation.l
Seems very slick, I really wanna try it out.
