So, my problem is that remaining 10% battery is charging very slow. Is it normal? When charging first 90% Ampere says around 2000mA and it's very quick. After 90% it's slowly decreasing, 92% now and 230 mA, couple days ago it was 80 mA when 96%.

Yes, for the last 10% or so the phone trickle charges which is basically like putting on the brakes to make sure the battery gets to 100% as efficiently as possible.
are you on custom ROM?
It is normal with any phone, I don't know why but, it is the case with any phone

I too would love something like this - Something that would stop charging at 99% so that stupid damn popup box (Please unplug your phone to save energy) doesn't pop over my clock and stay on screen ALL NIGHT.
Unfortunately, i'm pretty sure that the charging is a hardware thing - so i don't think there's anything out there that can stop it short of unplugging.

if your trying to make your battery last a long time just plug it in before you hit 20% charging to 100% is not going to be a big deal. today's li-ion can take alot of abuse just dont drain them dead and expect them to live very long
Yeah I wouldn't worry about charging to 100%. I have over a dozen lithium batteries for my flashlights, and I keep them all near 100% most of the time.
Charging Li-ion battery above 4.2v is bad.
This app you asked about is very important. Charging a battery more than 4.2 volts dramatically shortens its recharge cycle numbers. I measured my battery volts, found that 4.2 volts is achieved around 85%.
An app that would prevent charging over 80% will be great.
Thanks.
Any news, any app which stops charging at 80% ?

You all make foolish observation based on you personal use of some batteries, of course this is not a reliable info.
You learn in basics of electronics that there is a quantity of energy that it is supposed to be put in a battery for storage, extending it's battery life, and also. Cientific studies show that maintaining your battery near this spot is healthier, so the app wold be pretty useful.
And no, comments like "I've had plenty of batteries, I make bad use of them and after a year they're just fine" doesn't disqualify cientific research.
This apps works awesome! Until this week, when the latest March security update came out, and broke it for Nexus's...Nexus'...Nexi...? lol. But it might work perfect for you if you are not on a Nexus, or if you are, and you're not on the new march update, you're probably fine!

Oops, I spoke incorrectly. It was NOT the march update that caused it to stop working. It works fine, it was another app causing the conflict. I should have corrected this post sooner.

Just got an S6, used it for about and hour and just saw now that on the guide it says 'must charge before using'. Have I messed up my battery at all?
No, Just Make sure to give it a full charge and full discharge ASAP

Use it heavily without charging and once it dies charge it to 100% and your good.
Hi every body, as you know, galaxy S6 has a feature called fast charging. But in fact, the fast charge ability stops at 60% battery, from 60-100%, it comes back to normal charging. Does any one know how to increase the percentage of battery charging in fast charge mode !?
Thank you !
You cant do that and you should not even want to,as it would damage and shorten the life of the battery.
the one factor impacts charging time (not only fast charging) is usage with mobile network. Try to enable airplane mode to decrease charging time.

I mean to use fast charging upto 90% then normal charging for the rest. ... It'll be very fast ...
You can't... the more the battery charges the more resistance it develops the slower it is going to complete charging..

Thank you !. The most appropriate answer I ever heard
Thats right.. all things have limitations
Well, if you really want a shorter charging time, why don't you turn the device OFF while charging ?
This should take at least another 10mins off the total charging time...
The phone already charges from 0 to 90% in 1 hour..

Wait for OPPO to release their new fast charging system, 0-100% in 15 minutes apparently. Blowing all these theories out of the water. I think batteries are a lot more resilient than people give them credit for.

in Ampere application i got only 800-900 measure.. although im using original charger and wire which is 5v and 2. is it normal ??
sometimes its 1000 mA.. and voltage is more than 4 V.. 4.1 or 4.2 mostly. is it fine ?
I can't tell if it's the app that don't measure well or the socket doesn't give enough power
I will send the screenshot here..
Ok, I'll wait.
Can you test with another power socket?!

Except the voltage at 4.3V, that is over the limit to preserve at maximum capacity the storable charge of the ions by a 0,1, a notch practically (best is to remain at 4.2V or lower) everything is fine. This is an issue that i encounter too sometimes, it doesn't happen often but it happens, and so i opened a dedicated thread - you can find it here; we still have to find a solution since that it's kernel related, but if you wanna stay updated about, this is where me or others will notify about a working solution. Cheers https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-6x/help/limiting-voltage-battery-charging-t3663510
Ahan okk guys.. i will surely check that thread..
And i have another question.. my previous phone showed 1800 mA measurement current at 3.8 to 3.9 V.
So 1800 mA is good or not for a phone ?

I don't remember the quantity of mAh that i achieve during a charging cycle, but i can say that the amount of mAh is a thing that you shouldn't worry about much as Voltage: the chargers of nowadays are smarter than older chargers, they regulates the quantity of electricity that they have to send into the phone's battery by theirself, and so they'd hardly reach an harming point.

Voltage rating is fine but cureent should be more than 1000 mA.
When i used the sony fast charger on 5X it was showing 900-1200 mA even though it was 2A charger.
Sometimes these 3rd party app may not be as reliable as you think. What is the total charging time it takes, for me it is around 100+ minutes.
Phone takes the current and rating as per its own design and not the charger all the time. Charger may supply more ratings but phone may not accept ao they negotiate to lower down ro prevent the battery damage
okk guys.. the current does not goes more than 1000 in my 6x.. but i will check thi charging times from 10% to 100% tomorrow..

If thats the case then it could be the reason we see less current rating vs the charger.
Good point.

Hello,
I got my OP6 about a month ago and installed a app wich shows how much capacity the battery really has. Surprisingly it has 9% less than promised, wich means i miss 300 mah. Is it worth to claim warranty because of this? I mean in real scanarios its about 1.5 hrs i miss daily because of this.

Yes you are right
No OEM, not only OP ,will accept values from an app. In the end you'll have to pull out your battery and look on the sticker for the values. And then you still have to believe these because I see no chance on how you can measure the real capacity (without spending a lot of money).
