After August update, I can't see Pixel in Windows 10, (before this it was all fine).
There is even nothing in Notification Area, so I can't choose the mode. The phone by itself is charging.
Does anyone else see this problem?
No - I just copied files to my Pixel (VZW version, being used on Project Fi with August update from Fi) using a Surface with Windows 10. Sorry mate.
Just tried it, I have the latest Windows and updates to my phone. Have you flashed anything recently which could result in changes to how it displays in any way? Mine seems fine however I am not rooted and have not flashed anything.
Did you change to storage mode

Try enabling android debugging..it ll do the trick..
If you haven't already try a different cable (mine works fine with win 10 after August update btw)

Today i woke up and noticed my HD7 was telling me that there is an update available. Anyone have any idea what update this is? I'm currently on OS Version: 7.0.7392. Zune tells me "Available Update: HTC Update for Windows Phone".
My HDy just gave me the notification. Ran to XDA to see if there was any information on this update. I am also running OS 7.0.7392.0
It's an HTC update, not sure what it addresses exactly. Took about twenty minutes start to finish and the only thing I've noticed so far is that message notifications aren't consistently showing up on the top of the screen. Sometimes, but not always.
Based on the news article on this update from pocketnow.com, it looks like the new update will:
- upgrade your firmware, radio, and bootloader versions.
- HTC Hidden WiFi app now works properly.
- camera fix (pinkish hue is now gone)
- GPS works better
Probably worth upgrading to. Too bad i'm on Mango.

If anyone uses this update and was Chevron unlocked can, you please post your results on if you are still unlocked or not? TIA...

Use "V1.6 Working App to Backup Windows Phone 7 via ZUNE ANY TIME" & make a back-up. Than go to C:\Users\"UserID"\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Phone Update\"DeviceID(Something like 7c335bc8...)" & copy it to a safe place. Than do the update. At least than you'll have a back-up just in case. I am officially dev unlocked & it remained so. All my registry hacks (Max Apps,Banding Bug Fix, Some Volume Registry Edits, Custom Accent Colors, etc.) seem to be okay too. HTC most likely just updated the camera drivers & a few other things. It didn't take long to download, so the update isn't that big. Wish they'd fix the volume issue on the HD7.

From what I read, this is a T-Mobile USA update. Don't know if it's only USA though.
Another side note, it seems as though my screen's color is better after the update (I may just be seeing things).

Lumia 1020 running Developers Preview Latest Build on Cyan Update
Basically to recap, I woke up this morning, phone seemed to be working fine. Left the house and tried to put on some music. The 'On The Phone' music only contained my own music I had ripped and copied over via USB no Xbox Music albums. I thought it might be a licensing issue whereby it wasn't picking up my Music subscription, and decided to restart the phone -> slide down power off. This shut the phone down remarkably quickly and when I turned it back on - Bitlocker Blue Screen.
So far recovery via the Nokia Recovery Tool has failed. with Error 0x80131500 every time, so I'm now trying other more 'advanced' recovery options.
The only thing I can think of that has recently changed with the phone is last night I started populating my Music folder (created via the link in New details emerge about rumored Microsoft Xbox Music Locker service | Windows Central) on my OneDrive and copied across some of my own DRM free music. Which I subsequently downloaded some of these DRM free files via the 'Files' app to the phone.
My phone is connected to my work Office365 Exchange account, but I'm the Sys Admin so I know nothing got changed there yesterday that would have enabled Bitlocker. I had previously rolled back my phone to pick up the OTA Cyan updates some months ago and subsequently re-enabled the Preview For Developers and was up to date with updates - the last being approx 2-3 weeks ago. (I had also flashed my Regional Variant to be an o2 GB variant, but this has worked flawlessly)
Any comments from the similarly afflicted would be useful!

Same problem with my Lumia 520 as well.
Flashing results in same exception. Looks as if some kind of memory issue.
Mobile continuously restarts and radiates too much heat.
Please let us know will microsoft provide a fix for same in the WRT update?

And i no have more ideas to try.

Yes, I had a similar issue with my 1020 on O2 in the U.K. Although the install did finally manage to complete, the functionality of the of the phone was practically non-existant and the B1G selling point of the Lumia camera, was no longer compatible with Windows 10. I would strongly advise you give Windows 10 a wide berth if you have a 1020, because on Windows 10, the phone just doesn't work!
I ended up downloading WindowsPhoneRecoveryToolInstaller.exe, but after reading up on the subject I chose to use LumiaSoftwareRecoveryToolInstaller.exe instead.. I have to say, it worked a treat, but be warned, it takes upto 2 hours to complete, once it does though... You should have the phone you know and love back up & running.

I’ve tried all this program like NSU, NCS, Windows Recovery Tool, Lumia Recovery tool, all then I have installed all drivers but no one can recognize my 1020, I’ve tried on my 830 and works normally.
And USB is working because when I plug in he enter in lopping, AT&T Logo > Nokia Logo > Gears > Sad Face > Reboot. I try to make like Hard Reset but doesn't work, only I can enter is in on screen with a Gear and bolt.
Maybe exist other mode to try connection.

Try with my tutorial (Windows Phone Image Designer).
I picked up an Mi 4 a bit over a year ago to test Windows Mobile as the organization was evaluating the ecosystem then.
There wasn't enough interest in it so the phone sat in a drawer for several months.
Wanting to breathe new life into the device, I made the switch back to Android this morning via MIUI 8 without issue.
Then I learned LineageOS was available for it so I laid that down:
Got TWRP setup per https://twrp.me/devices/xiaomimi3.html & https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/cancro/install
Got LineageOS installed per https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/cancro/install
At the same time, installed the nano variant of OpenGApps http://opengapps.org/?api=7.1&variant=nano
Everything went off error free and the phone booted just fine.
But after getting it all setup, I started seeing several notifications that various apps won't work until Google Play Services is installed. When I tap on the notification, a window briefly launches then disappears just as fast. I assume it was the Play Store but it can't be certain because its essentially a blank window that appears for less than a second without fully drawing/rendering the content within. When I click on the Play Store, it won't open at all, often not even displaying anything (even momentarily) on screen like the tap on the notification does.
I booted back into TWRP, re-applied the same nano variant but that didn't help.
Thinking I made a mistake somewhere, I started over by wiping and reinstalling the OS, downloading & pushing a fresh download of the nano variant package yet the problem persisted.
After the second installation I decided to try with the super and stock variants but both failed due to not enough space on /system.
I'm in transit at the moment so I'll give it another go with the mini then micro variants later, but wanted to get this out there in the event someone could point out what I might be doing wrong.

I applied the mini variant and all is well.
So I have to ask the question: Was what I experienced to be expected? If not, what might I have done wrong?

I just tried manually updating my phone, I have the Tencent flashed with WW. Everything was fine, got the notif after restarting, but my phone suddenly lagged out and now screen is just black. Been trying to reboot but 0 success. Logo is just strobing red rn. Any way to fix this? Thanks

Try holding shift and refreshing the page before trying the download again to fully refresh the page.

Yep tried that and my phone mobile data still the same tried my mac book with safari, tried my pc with internet explorer and same with chrome its kind of messed up situation can't figure it out anyone else from UK having this issue?

Sorry to also post here but I also have a Tencent variant with WW ROM and the current version is WW-18.0840.2103.26 - I manually updated to this in April when it was released.
I'm now trying to go through the same process to update to WW-18.0840.2104.47. I have the file downloaded to root directory, reboot the phone, the notification for update file detected appears, then when I try to install it just says "update failed".
Anyone got any idea what could be wrong?

The download appears to be broken. I downloaded the full 3.29 yesterday and today it shows up as 772. Looks like the issue is on their end.
