Yes, I had a similar issue with my 1020 on O2 in the U.K. Although the install did finally manage to complete, the functionality of the of the phone was practically non-existant and the B1G selling point of the Lumia camera, was no longer compatible with Windows 10. I would strongly advise you give Windows 10 a wide berth if you have a 1020, because on Windows 10, the phone just doesn't work!
I ended up downloading WindowsPhoneRecoveryToolInstaller.exe, but after reading up on the subject I chose to use LumiaSoftwareRecoveryToolInstaller.exe instead.. I have to say, it worked a treat, but be warned, it takes upto 2 hours to complete, once it does though... You should have the phone you know and love back up & running.
Hope it works for you!

I’ve tried all this program like NSU, NCS, Windows Recovery Tool, Lumia Recovery tool, all then I have installed all drivers but no one can recognize my 1020, I’ve tried on my 830 and works normally.
And USB is working because when I plug in he enter in lopping, AT&T Logo > Nokia Logo > Gears > Sad Face > Reboot. I try to make like Hard Reset but doesn't work, only I can enter is in on screen with a Gear and bolt.
Maybe exist other mode to try connection.
Hi,

Hi,
I've receieved a HTC Mozart as an evaluation device from Telstra for my company, but when I boot it up it does not seem to go through the normal setup process.
It boots and when it is pre-populated with some data such as contacts, text messages, emails, calander entries, etc. I have hard reset the device and it comes back to the same place after it goes through the loading process, at no stage am i prompted to enter my windows live ID or anything like that and there is already an example account present.
Is this some sort of demonstration mode the phone is set in???
Thanks,
Ryan
i would suggest contacting telstra? maybe they sent you a demo model by mistake? though to be honest if this was that case that would be one of the most funniest things they could do to a customer. it was just halloween? didn't you give them a treat?

We all know Sol took all the treats with him when he left LOL
Everytime i unlock the phone it get a text message that tells me welcome to windows phone 7 and the screen saver is a demo that says 'touch to begin' and I am unable to use my windows live login as there is an account called [email protected] that cannot be deleted and cannot be changed.
Try flashing the std ruu package from the mozart forum? Might have a demo rom on it.
Are you able to hard reset it?
If not then contact Telstra and they should replace it.
How do I install the generic RUU on the mozart? I have been a blackberry user previously.
Mate, dont bother, take it back to telstra.

It Would seem not all people actually read the questions in these forums very well - having acquired one of these STORE DEMO ROM Mozarts as well I know exactly what you are saying - Mate - Check my post Under the Telstra ROM in the ROM section of Mozart Development Forum. Should be around post 3.
This is how I reflashed/unlocked from store demo mode and now have a fully functioning HTC Mozart.
Should help you out.
I believe i purchased a store demo HTC Surround, as it does exactly what you describe your mozart doing. I hope soon there will be a way to flash the rom because my battery dies from all the bogus updates and the screensaver or splash screen. any help would be greatly appreciated.
Yes, anyone here please plz plz plz help us out with this annoying thing ever. ....
GREAT GREATLY Appreciate ... it makes me piss off !!!
It's amazing how many of these demo phones make it out in the real world.

Held Volume Down Key while Pressing Power Button (This turns the phone on and launched Bootloader)
Connected to PC Waited about 5 minutes while Windows auto detected the drivers and installed what it needed
Right Mouse clicked on the downloaded Rom and selected "Run as Administrator"
Followed the prompts.

Hello,
My Lumia 710 is not recognized by Zune, I've tried all possibilities that are in the forums and Microsoft ZUNE and still does not.
Help please
If you've literally tried "all the possibilities that are in the forums" I'm not sure why you expect we'll be able to help you, but...
Make sure you're using the original cable (not all USB cables work, it's stupid, and no, just because you bought it along with the phone doesn't count; use the one that came in the box).
Make sure your Zune software is up to date (it *should* prompt to install).
Make sure your PC has the WP7 drivers installed (if it doesn't, connect the phone then install the driver using Device Manager and searching Windows Update).
Try different USB ports.
Make sure the cable is firmly seated at both ends.
Give Zune a few seconds, I've seen it take up to ~15 seconds to detect the phone although it's normally almost instant.

Oh well, so it's not just me. I've literally tried everything in order to sync my GF's 710 but no way. Are you getting the "Can't Connect to Your Phone. Disconnect it, Restart it, Then Try Connecting Again" error message?
I tried this solution http://www.governor.co.uk/news-plus...ect-it,-restart-it,-then-try-connecting-again which apparently worked for many but it doesn't work for me: I haven't got anything under "Personal", and for the second part I cannot locate the folder C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA, the path isn't right for me.
Where can I find that stupid RSA folder? Any clue?
I'm really stuck here, apparently I'm getting this error on 2 laptops: my GF's one with Vista and mine with Win7. This is really annoying...
I've solved this problem, in my case, just run in compatibility mode with Windows Vista, and puff...Work fine now.
Thx for the answers

Uh, that's interesting. I'll try this too tomorrow. Glad you fixed it
you possibly just ran into the leap day bug.

in short, set the data to March 1 and you will be able to connect. then you can return to current date.
everything should be fine after the 29th.
on my lumia 925 i was going to update to the windows 10, and when it was ready to install, it restart and the gears begin to spin, however it restart but in the gears the gauge doesn't fill, then no more than 5 or 7 seconds and it restart again the lumia has been stucking in this eternal loop of AT&T LOGO FOLLOWING THE GEARS.
i can prove that i have done everything in the correct way:
1. i have my account in hte windows insider program.
2. i have the app of windows insider.
3. i have leave it download all the night.
4. the smartphone has the full charge.
5. and for credibility: i'm a student of software development.
the big trouble is for the lumia software recovery tool and nokia care suite, with the lumia recovery, i open it in: MY PHONE DOES NOT START OR RESPOND and the software can't recover my phone because i have done a hard reset, flash mode and i still don't know all the combination bottoms to put an end to the loop while it is connected to the pc, while it is without connect it just turn off, it is the same for nokia care.
please someone help this is my only, i know that this is a risk but in the end i was hoping just common errors but THIS!!!.
PS: i live in Panamá there is not a microsoft store, there is not a windows phone expert.

Hello everyone.
All over the internet, this problem is nowhere mentioned and i really hope to find a solution.
A customer delivered me this Nokia Lumia 1320.
It boots up with the Nokia logo, then it says:
ENOSW
RM994 3055.40000.9200.10517
345808 2013/11/20
RF INACTIVE
Customer assured me that nothing happened to the phone and nothing was done to the software.
I already gave the internal battery a full charge overnight with an external power supply.
if i try to do a full restore, it brings up the gears, restarts after 20 or 30 seconds with the same ENOSW message again.
Computer recognizes it, but the windows recovery tool ofcourse doesn't recognize it, also nokia care suite says it's an unsupported model.
Booting it up with powerbutton + vol up works with the lightning symbol, but then the computer doesn't recognize it all.
All this plus the fact that i really am not good with windows phones and the flashing of it.
Hopefully anyone has a solution, or knows what this message means?
Seems like some sort of test, but how to get rid of it and make this phone startup????
Any help is really greatly appriciated.
Kind regards,
Yves
HI everyone,
I'm tearing my hair out a little bit on this one.
Before people ask, I'm aware that Windows Mobile is effectively dead. I have no intention of using this device as an actual phone. I just want to try and use the camera in the phone with the app it was intended to use with.
I have picked up a Lumia 1020. On booting the phone, it seemed to be running a build of Windows Mobile 8.1. It seemed to be missing the full Nokia 1020 Camera app these phones were known for, having instead just the default Windows 8.1 camera app. Of note, a Telstra logo (being an Australian telco) was displayed on startup. I am unsure whether this is just branding or whether Telstra were able to get a custom version of the OS done for this device.
I was thinking the easiest solution is to try and reflash the original operating system that came with the device. This should restore all the original apps the phone came with, including the camera app I intend to use. I am absolutely tearing my hair out trying to get it to work.
The WIndows Device Recovery Tool detects the device and, while it complains that a reflash would install an older build of Windows, it does indeed download a copy and then begins the process. It starts to do the initial reboot, I would presume to put the phone into flash mode, and then gives me the error "The operation ended in failure".
I have obtained a copy of the WPInternals tool, which was a common alternative to do this, as well as a copy of the firmware for the device. This attempts to reboot the phone, and then fails with "Failed to reboot into flash mode".
I know it is a bit of a stretch to get this old phone working, however I do like the camera in it, and all I really want is to flash it with the original apps so I can get the proper camera app - the default Windows Mobile 8.1 just does not give me the full options. I'm not sure whether the fact that this has been branded by Telstra has anything to do with it, but if anyone has stumbled across something like this before and can offer any useful morsels of information, it would be appreciated.
Hi,
sorry for the late reply...
Search for thor2.exe on your computer, it is part of Windows Device Recovery Tool.
Have your Lumia ready, connect the USB cable only to your computer, open a command line window and change into the directory you found thor2.exe in.
Type
thor2 -mode rnd -uefitests -skip_com_scan
and connect your Lumia immediately. Normally thor2 detects it and brings it to the red flash screen. Eventually you will have to repeat this input (press the arrow-up key).
If you need to reset the Lumia ("pull battery"), press and hold the volume-down key and press the switch-on key until it comes to live again.
Hope that helps.
Best regards, Joachim
