Snapchat: Will these actions get me banned? - General Topics

Hello, I am planning to use snapchat on bluestacks by making titanium backup of snapchat on my phone, transfer the file to rooted bluestacks and restore it there. Can I practically get banned by doing so? If yes, how snapchat detect me doing so?
Also, I am planning to use Casper (Yes, I know I can practically get banned by using Casper :/ ). How do snapchat detect me using Casper? How can I minimize the risk of getting banned by using Casper?
(Sorry for asking multiple questions and if I post in wrong section of forum, please kindly notify me

I've never been banned from snapchat for using anything like this. The worst that's happened to be is being prevented from logging in due to having Xposed installed or SuperSU installed or something like that. Since it's a rooted bluestacks enviroment, Snapchat might detect your root and prevent you logging in, with some unclear message like "Oh no! Your login temporarily failed, so please try again"

[APP][MOD] Snapchat 9.20.2.0 (root detection/anti-root removed)

Are you a fan of Snapchat? Have you readed the sad news at XDA news and you want to keep your phone rooted? Well no problem. what you need is uninstall the original app and install this modded app. No xposed needed. No any 3rd party apps needed!
Tested on rooted Bluestacks emulator and it work without being blocked
How root detection works?
They use a very simple codes to detect the path to superuser, such as /system/bin, /system/app/superuser.apk, and so on, and i have removed it, so Snapchat can work on any rooted devices.
How to install modded APK:
Uninstall original Snapchat app
Download this modded Snapchat app
Install it on your device
Login with your account, and you are done!
Enjoy Snapchatting!
]
How to fix connection error:
Uninstall modded Snapchat
Install Snapchat from Playstore, and sign in
Uninstall original Snapchat
Install modded Snapchat, and reboot the device
Open it and sign in
This trick worked for me. Connection still work on rooted Bluestacks.
Note: This mod APK does NOT contain spyware or hidden code which take out your personal infomation. I do NOT do such things like Google and Facebook do. I only provide modded Snapchat APK which does not have root detection.

I had this problem before. Please reinstall Snapchat, reboot your device, and it will work.
I hope you're ready for some legal contact from Snapchat. Appreciate your work, but you are probably going to get a cease and desist from them like every other dev who has repackaged their code before.
I did as you said still not working. Apperently they check for xposed mod and not root. My lg g3 rooted works well but my n6 with root + xposed doesn't.

[Completed] How to block apps which install themselves over and over again ?

Hi,
Phone : ZOPO ZP999 - rooted
The latest month there is something weird going on : 2 'apps' are reinstalling themselves over and over again.
I deinstalled them, blocked them. Even when i block them they disappear and reappear again.
These apps use icons like twitter and facebook.
This is the data :
1. com.roma.boostcleanpro.apk
it refers to this links on GooglePlay : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.roma.boostcleanpro
uses Facebook icon
2. com.sp.cp.apk
nothing to find on Googleplay
uses twitter icon
Does anybody knows the reason ?
Is there another installed app which is responsible for this ?
ps : in "security" , unknown sources is not enabled and verify apps which can cause damage is enabled
Thanks for the help
Hello,
You've picked up some malware, you have to remove the malware to keep those apps from coming back. I'm willing to wager that you rooted your device with Kingroot because it deceptively installs apps when you use it. If you used Kingroot then you'll need to find the method of converting to SuperSU on your device and remove Kingroot, then you won't get those apps installing themselves.
To find the malware you can use Malwarebytes Ant-malware app from the Playstore.
For further help ask your question in the forum linked below.

The experts there may be able to help. Good luck.

Hi - thanks for the reply !
This phone - my ZOPO zp999 - is rooted with SuperSU. I made the root-thread my self here on XDA So the rooting is OK.
The phone has been working fine all the time so there must be an app which caused the reinstalling of some bad apps.
Therefore I run Malwarebytes and had about 8 issues - see screenshot - removed them and since yesterday the problem was gone...
hope it stays that way

Root 7.1.1 on Merlin

Hi All,
Need help of this forum in solving a problem. The problem is in two parts.
1. I need to gain root access on my 7.1.1 on Merlin.
So can i use adb to gain root access ? Learnt something like this from giving elevated access to Greenify for doze. Can someone point to the right direction so that i can learn it to do myself and not depend on third party apps.
2. I have given administrator usages to Airwatch Agent which monitors whether i have root or not. If i gain root access then i lose the service and wont be able to view configured mails. So basically i need to root and not let all the apps know i have root. Somehow hide it.
Please guide. Thanks in advance.

Well, basically you are not going to get around AirWatch knowing you are rooted, even with Magisk if their Air Watch server is relatively current... I have tried and tried this (we sell and administer Airwatch for ourselves and lots of customers). Airwatch has been specifically designed to detect King*Root, SuperSU, and Magisk (and it's iPhone equivalents), and it uses far more advanced detection schemes than just SafetyNet, so far it hasn't been bypassed that we have seen on Android 6 and higher devices... (Android 5.1 and older have a different mechanism for bypassing root detection from Airwatch that apparently isn't possible with Marshmallow and higher). Also be aware that Airwatch will flag any device on a custom ROM of any kind too (rooted or not) as an incompatible device.
I don't think there is sufficient need for a detection bypass to be implemented into Magisk for Airwatch, and I am not sure the developers would even consider it, since it would be more about getting around a corporate security policy you agreed too more than just getting around some stupid restrictions from the Play Store or an app developer, but hey, it's worth a shot to ask I guess.
Getting around most apps knowing you have root is pretty simple with Magisk, but Airwatch and some of it's competitors MDM applications are much tougher to deal with.
To be honest you are better to just let Greenify go or to get a separate cheapo device just for your corporate email and keep root on your personal device.
Thats insightful.
Thanks a lot for the comments. I however have not seen Airwatch revoking my device enrollment even when i am running a custom ROM. It just checks whether i have root or not.
And can you guide how to use Magisk to root my Nougat on merlin.

Download Magisk and flash it... If your running a custom ROM with SuperSU or some other root built in, might want to ask in your ROM thread to see the right process.
Odd a custom ROM doesn't do anything weird... We have tried several ROM's on our Nexus device and every one will not allow device enrollment.
Confused

I flashed magisk. It rooted my device. Could use greenify with root and lucky patcher with root too. Which means i have got root access. Now comes Airwatch Agent. It asked for root access And i denied it. So now my device is not unenrolled and i am able to use configured mails successfully. Happy. But confused.

So latest Magisk is not seen by AirWatch... Nice. I'll have to play with it again.

I lost the root. Dont know why. I actually tried installing supersu from playstore which asked something like- do you want to copy binaries to somwhere and i said yes. To that effect my device was unenrolled by Airwatch Agent. Then i removed supersu and i was able to enrol my device again. But the next morning i am noy rooted anymore. Lucky patcher says root is not stable. Don't know what to do.

You can't mix SuperSU and Magisk... after you flash Magisk you need to install Magisk Manager, but it isn't in the Play Store.
And BTW, don't mention Lucky Patcher here... that is purely a pirating app and users of it are thieves.
I will not assist you with anything to do with that software.

I am sorry if i offended the community. I installed it as a means to achieve background play of YouTube as till Marshmallow, this was beautifully done by xposed mods. But as for Nougat as xposed is still in development, i needed that app.
I was not aware of other uses of that app. Nor do i have any further intention. Actually i tried using OG Youtube and the other app which was needed but that provided for popup only. Hope you understand.

Not really... Background playback on YouTube is a paid service, no matter how you bypass that it's stealing.
Trust me, I don't like it either but I'm not going to steal the service

Some other app that you've installed is doing it.
Have you rooted your device?
What method did you use to root it?
Did you use Kingroot or KingoRoot?

It absolutely has to to be something you installed.
You didn't answer me question, by the way.
Did you root your device with Kingroot or KingoRoot? If so, that is what is doing it.
I DO NOT PROVIDE HELP IN PM, KEEP IT IN THE THREADS WHERE EVERYONE CAN SHARE
not with kingroot!
i rooted it with framaroot about a year ago.but the 'self install' thing began two weeks ago. new apps i hv installed are AIDE,,SCR pro & apk editor pr
Go to “developerettingUncheckInstall apps from external sources”(or something like that).
If the app is installing from play store delete the last install app. It maybe any thing like anti virus, phone booster, battery booster, twrp, recovery etc.
If the app is not installing from play store but downloading from internet then Go to settings> enable developer options> uncheck the box which says “Install apps from un trusted sources (or something like that). Then uninstall the last installed app or the app which u think is causing this issue. Same as above list.
Try closing all tabs in ur browser also.
Then install C cleaner app. Run it. Delete the files which u don't know. Then back to normal

Can I install SuperSU on the OnePlus 7 Pro?

Hi everyone,
I'm curious if anyone has gotten the SuperSU root method running on this phone. I know that magisk exists but snapchat has problems with magisk for some reason so I would prefer to use SuperSU instead. I already have the latest twrp installed if that helps at all. Flashing the SuperSU zip doesn't seem to do anything so I'm hoping somebody has figured this out already.
Thanks,

just realized i put this in guides instead of questions and answers. Is there a way to move it? Serious noob here.
Do not think anyone has used SuperSU in a few years really. What is wrong with Snapchat and rooted with Magisk?
Snapchat wont get along with Supersu either. At least you could try to hide Magisk from Snapchat
I'm abit curious now, why would you prefer having supersu when magisk works the same way but even better?

it seems like supersu hasn't been updated in a couple years now, so you're absolutely correct. Snapchat keeps locking me out of my account for "using a third party app" even though I haven't been using a third party app. My guess is that it's detecting root somehow even when I have magisk hide enabled, magisk changed to manager, and xprivacylua restricting snapchat's access to files. I even tried using parallel space to copy snapchat into an isolated environment, but it doesn't even log in. It might have something to do with Oxygen OS, but I'm not sure. Although it's unlikely, I'm trying to see if there is a way to install SuperSU on this phone because I know snapchat works as it did on my old phone (if you log in before you root, of course). If it's not possible, I'll just have to figure something out.

You need to Magisk hide Snapchat. Go to menu(top left, 3 lines) click Magisk Hide. Scroll to Snapchat and check it. Clear data for Snapchat. Log back in.

Weird, never had an issue with Snapchat and was always rooted.
I used to have the same issue with snapchat until I started using the Magisk Beta versions, since then I haven't had that issue at all. Which version of Magisk are you using?

Get it up and running, create a backup with titanium and when you are on magisk, restore the data.
Thats how i used to do it when it wouldnt let me log in. But I havent had the issue for years with magisk. Ensure you are using the current and ensure you pass safety net.
