Are you a fan of Snapchat? Have you readed the sad news at XDA news and you want to keep your phone rooted? Well no problem. what you need is uninstall the original app and install this modded app. No xposed needed. No any 3rd party apps needed!
Tested on rooted Bluestacks emulator and it work without being blocked
How root detection works?
They use a very simple codes to detect the path to superuser, such as /system/bin, /system/app/superuser.apk, and so on, and i have removed it, so Snapchat can work on any rooted devices.
How to install modded APK:
Uninstall original Snapchat app
Download this modded Snapchat app
Install it on your device
Login with your account, and you are done!
Enjoy Snapchatting!
]
How to fix connection error:
Uninstall modded Snapchat
Install Snapchat from Playstore, and sign in
Uninstall original Snapchat
Install modded Snapchat, and reboot the device
Open it and sign in
This trick worked for me. Connection still work on rooted Bluestacks.
Note: This mod APK does NOT contain spyware or hidden code which take out your personal infomation. I do NOT do such things like Google and Facebook do. I only provide modded Snapchat APK which does not have root detection.

I had this problem before. Please reinstall Snapchat, reboot your device, and it will work.
I hope you're ready for some legal contact from Snapchat. Appreciate your work, but you are probably going to get a cease and desist from them like every other dev who has repackaged their code before.
I did as you said still not working. Apperently they check for xposed mod and not root. My lg g3 rooted works well but my n6 with root + xposed doesn't.
Thread closed per OP request to prevent C&D order from snapchat

I know it was removed from the market.. I have the latest adway from F-droid but it doesn't work.. And yes I am rooted.
Is there any Adblockers that are working? Or ways to fix Adaway?

I had this problem so I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and now its working great..

AdAway works fine. You need to either reboot before installing the APK, or clear out all recent apps before hand.
Yup, works fine for me also
Check your Superuser/SuperSU app to make sure you gave it permission, or;
Uninstall the app, reboot and reinstall, or;
Run fix permissions in CWM/TWRP.
Just to chime in here:
I have noticed that Adaway does fail to apply updated Hosts files. If you just keep telling it to update, it will usually work the second or third time. But it does fail for me the first time almost every time. I'm not sure if it's a r/w issue with Kitkat or just some kind of general compatibility issue.
If by "not working" you mean it fails to apply the host file, just keep trying. It should work eventually.
Any way to hide SuperSU to get Snapchat working? Tried disable in supersu and no luck.
Likewise. Is there a way to unroot on the Pixel XL? Then we could login to Snapchat and then re-root.

That's not how it works. Snapchat has integrated safetynet into their app, so there's no getting around it at this time.
u can use EX kernel i assume, he has the patch that keeps safetynet trigger on.

Awesome thanks I'll try that out. Pretty stable build so far?
Yes pretty stable and u get wake gestures which is a bonus.
Doesn't seem to work. Using ex-p0. 05 and still not able to log on to snapchat

While I don't have the Pixel yet, I do have a rooted galaxy s7 edge with Snapchat. @kingdonomonkey01 was kind of correct. If you install Snapchat first, log in, and then root you should be able to still use Snapchat. Not sure why it works like that but that's how it works on the gs7 edge with our root method. Hopefully it's kind of the same for you guys.

What was your process? What kernel? I am using ElementalX kernel.
Got it to work. I simply removed root through SuperSU settings, installed snapchat and logged in, and then flashed boot-to-root.img.
Not sure if this helps, I'm on Sailfish, rooted and on Despair kernel. No issues with safety net or snapchat.
Not sure if this will work for the Pixel but it worked on my rooted nougat Nexus 6. Not sure if it was a safety net issue but snapchat still stopped me from logging in giving me a message of "Your login temporarily failed, please try again later”
1. get a root file manager
2. go to /vendor/lib/
3. Rename "liboemcrypto.so" to "liboemcrypto.so.bak"
4. reboot and snapchat should log in
5. change back the file name to liboemcrypto.so
hope this helps

Just wait....eventually you will. Same thing happened to me.
Odd, I've never had a problem with any banking apps or Snapchat. I've had Snapchat installed and logged in after a root as well as before rooting. Not a problem
had problems logging in while rooted, but with the new elemental x kernel and supersu sr2 i was able to login while rooted. YAY
I have never used or installed Majisk? I am on Pure Nexus with Elemental X latest kernel. I updated to the June build and somehow wiped my device so now I can't use Snapchat. Also looks like Netflix is blocked as well?
Hey there
Has anyone got a method to use snapchat on a rooted phone without derooting and that thing? Pls help!

Don't suppose you have a second phone to play with? Because you can login on that while derooted, then root it and titanium backup the app, which you can restore on any rooted device and it'll be logged in.

Hmm.. It's working great here.
Installed parallel space and thereafter Snapchat. That made snapchat appear in parallel space (could add it to the ps app drawer). From within ps I started snapchat and registered my device.
If this doesn't work, I don't have a solution, sorry.

Hello,
In order to do online banking I need to receive the TAN.
But this app won't let me even start, it opens the browser and tells me it detected root,
so I disabled root in the settings, restarted, even cleaned the cache and reinstalled but it still won't let me use it.
Do you know any ROM that supports my banking app?
Or another question: Does it even matter which TAN app I use?
I'm all new to online banking.
Maybe you can check if it works on your ROM, please let me know.
Thanks for your time in advance!
You can use the banking app with magisk. you need the "airfrozen" app and freeze the magisk app before you use the vr banking app and it will work.
This doesn't work here.
Hiding Magisk with "Airfrozen" on a rooted S8 with stock rom let VRSecureGO-App still complain of the device being jailbraked or rooted.
I froze Magisk
root checker app says device is not properly rooted
deleted all Date of VRSecureGo in Settings/Apps
VRSecure not working as described
On a Lineage 16 on installed on a S5 mini without root VRSecureGo won't work either.
I'm trying to run vanced YouTube on my pixel 7 Pro. Vanced manager manager still working on my op9pro...but I need to delete all remnants of the stock YouTube app from my device.
I'm unlocked and rooted. Titanium backup shows the error "can't locate APK". I'm trying to do it manually with root explorer. The YouTube and YouTube music APKs are located in /product/app/YouTube. I cannot delete these files and root explorer won't allow me to change the permissions of these folders. I also tried adb but that just hides them, I need to remove any and all files associated with the stock YouTube system app.
Anyone have any ideas? I'm not looking to hide these apps, I'm looking to permanently remove them from the phone.

@rester555, @EtherealRemnant, and some others got it working well enough....and I don't think they had to go through the trouble of deleting "all remnants" of the stock app. You might be used to a bit of an outdated method or particular to your previous device method because I believe it's been a long time since you had to remove the stock app to get it to work -- at the very least on my Pixel 5 A11 rooted, I used Vanced manager and it would merely overwrite/replace my stock app; I just had to make sure to turn off auto-update as Google would insist on re-installing/updating it back to stock...
In any case, the thread below is where a bunch of them got it to work well enough on the P7P (without the need to remove the stock app, i believe)

EDIT
Sorry for re-iterating what netgar posted. He got his post in before while I was still drafting mine...
Just disable the app. You can do it natively. Go like you're going to uninstall the app and you'll see disable.
I did disable it. Only problem now is I can't install an older YouTube APK from APK mirror in order to patch it with revanced lol. Phone is giving me an error when I try to install an older version of YouTube.

I literally installed ReVanced yesterday. All I did was disable YouTube, build with ReVanced Builder, install micro G, and install the patched APK.

I'm not familiar with using the builder, but I saw EtherealRemnant have success with it, so that's why I @'d him. Glad he/it helped!
I got it working. Although I'm rooted, I had to use the non root method with microg in order to get it working
Even though I got it working, I'm still kind of pissed I can't delete certain system apps off my device. Huge reasoning for rooting in the first place is to have ultimate control over my device. Can anyone shed some light on why I can't remove certain system apps or provide a working method to do so?
Just did the "Install as root" option and it installed just fine. I did uninstall all updates followed by installing apk of recommended version with no issues on my end

Root these days is systemless. The best you can do is disable apps or uninstall them from your user profile with adb.

i know it's old and EOL, but can't Titanium Backup "freeze" system apps? It's been a while (years), so I'm working off of memory and just basing it off of what I kinda remember and can't be too sure...
Open a Command Terminal, grant root access by typing "su"
This command works for me to delete system apps (youtube for example):
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.youtube
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.apps.youtube.music
Have you tried that one?

TiBu still works. I'm using it currently. Does a fine job of disabling or freezing system apps as needed.
