Hello everybody!
i have this device.
Device info:
Code:
android version: 5.1
baseband version: MPSS.BO.2.5.c3-00070-M8992FAAAANAZM-1.19025.1
kernel version: 3.10.49
build number: LMY47D
sw version: H81010o
security sw version: MDF v1.1 release 5
(I'm not sure it's a real H810, on the back there was a sticker and below it a hidden "H811" sign.
Furthermore, "LG Phone From" app reports a "stolen" IMEI.
How can i verify if it's a real H810?)
I successfully rooted it following this guide.
I can enter in download mode by plugging the USB cable while pressing VolumeUp button, but i can't unlock bootloader or boot in fastboot mode.
I can see the device through adb, but if i try:
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
simply the phone reboots in normal mode
I tried to install TWRP following this guide (dd Install Method), but if i try:
Code:
adb reboot recovery
the phone gives me a "security boot" error, then boots in normal mode.
After some searching, i found that i can probably force the fastboot mode by zeroing laf partition, but i haven't tried this yet.
My question is:
If i zero the recovery partition (that currently contains a non-bootable recovery) and i send a
Code:
adb reboot recovery
command, the phone should go in fastboot mode without losing the download mode, right?
Someone can give me a better idea to unlock bootloader/enable fastboot mode?
Thanks in advance

I updated the first post.
I suspect it's a H811
Thanks to @autoprime suggestions, i've found some additional informations:
I dumped the aboot partition, and i found this string in it with an hex editor: "gpt.model.name..LG-H810"
In the hidden menu i see "non-fusing device"
is there an undiscovered download mode in this device?
is there an undiscovered safe mode android boot into?
is thera an undiscovered "IMEI display" screen?

I don't know if you mean these, but:
I can enter download mode by power off and then holding volume up when plugging to the USB
I can boot in safe mode by holding Power Off icon
I can get IMEI by composing
Code:

What if you plug a physical keyboard with usb otg and press DELETE, F2, F9 or F12 like a computer? I know it sounds dumb but what if no one has tried and it was the solution all this time?

I don't have a USB keyboard at the moment.
What should happen?
Have you tried this? On what device?

My usb keyboard is broken. I guess nothing will happen but I was imagining a computer with extra options in the bios.
You know... maybe a secret bootloader menu.

The keyboard has no power when the phone boots.

Hello,
I'm trying to root my LG G4 H810 so I can install a custom rom. I've tried following up on this comment you made about "UsU" and the "PoC" thread but I haven't been able to find anything.
Is rooting the H810 possible yet? I have Marshmallow software version 21y installed on mine.
Thank you and I'm so very sorry to hear about the passing of your dog : (

I can do everything with my phone except for flash stock no matter how many times and ways I try it won't work. Have tried using SW Updater and it gives me the following message:
"Error Occured! Cancel Download!"
I also tried with fastboot and after the phone reboots I get this message:
<waiting for device>
For some reason the phone continues to show these two lines at the bottom of the bootloader screen:
USB Control Init
USB Control Init End
I am really in need of help. Can somebody please help me?

Hi,
What are coming from? rooted with what ROM.. what recovery?
And are you trying to flash the newest ICS from stock recovery?
I guess Im just trying to see what you did and what you had before it all happened.
Thanks
Im currently running the [AOSP][4.0.4]Codename Android 2.0.0RC|Fully Open Source+Nightly Builds Rom and I have CWM Recovery and I am trying to flash the OTA ICS Update.

This is what u want if ur already rooted
Good luck
Vs Nexus S 4G
I already know how to do everything else, my problem is flashing back to stock because of those messages. I only want to flash back to stock.
I had an issue where fastboot wouldn't recognize my device when I was in bootloader. For whatever reason it worked if I hooked up my phone via usb then rebooted into bootloader.
Anyway you can use this method

Well, that's good that you have the right bootloader. Mine had the same problem, but I accidentally flashed the wrong bootloader. Pretty sure that's why I had no fastboot or USB mount. I had to send mine into Samsung for repairs.
So what's wrong with it?

Sent my jacked up phone into Samsung. It was unlocked and had TWRP on it (like I said before, no fastboot and none of my computers with any combination of OS/USB cable would recognize the phone). Samsung either repaired or replaced it and it is shipping back to me today.
Thats good for u. But I still can't flash stock, other than that, I'm doing great with mine.
RESOLUTION: Assuming you've installed the correct Samsung ADB drivers, you will have had to go to Device Manager, and tell it which driver to use. Good job at getting to to the fastboot screen! You're almost done.
At this point, (on fast boot) open up Device Manager again on your computer. Now your phone is being recognized as something completely different: Android 1.0 was what mine said. Right click on it, 'update driver software', 'browse my computer for...', 'let me select from a list of...", then choose "ADB Interface" from the list. If ADB interface is missing from the list, you haven't installed the drivers.
It will then give you a list of ADB Samsung phone drivers to choose from. I just chose the most updated ones (2012 was at the end of the strand of information about it, as opposed to 2010 which was further down). The second you click next, your phone (assuming you still have the command prompt up on your computer, saying its searching or waiting for your phone) will start to fly through the process of returning you back to stock.
DONE!
Good luck.
Thanks jackharvest. I didn't know Samsung had their own ADB drivers. That was the key! After I configured Windows Device Manager, as you indicated, to use the Samsung driver, all I had to do was run the windows batch file "flash-all.bat" which I had downloaded from google's "Factory Images for Nexus Devices." Unfortunately, their instructions don't tell use about the steps you identified!
My brothers Huawei G6-L11 suddenly rebooted yesterday in fastboot / recovery mode. It says to connect it to a PC with Hirsute installed. Tried it, also installed Fastboot, ADB and drivers but the program didn't find the phone. Then i tried looking for the recovery image because it says: "recovery image verify failed" before it get's into this mode. I found it and tried to flash it using Fastboot but failed, I think this is because the phone is locked? So i Googled for an unlock code and found out Huawei has a website for it but i need a product ID wich I can't find if the phone can't boot. Anyone an idea on what i should try next?

1º - HOLD IT, the phone boots but don´t release any key, let boot 2x, relase only power in next boot than vols when flash starts
or
2º - HOLD IT, but the phone dont boot, don´t release any key, 3 seconds and release only power than vols when starts the flash.

Hi,
i had the same issue (locked bootloader) for my Huawei G6-L33, but I used a program called "Huawei Product ID Generator.exe " and my phone is already unlocked. The tricky with this program was to select as a huawei model "HUAWEI Y300-0100" even if your phone model is different. Also at the huawei web page for unlocking devices (https://emui.huawei.com/en) you have to enter the same tricky model "HUAWEI Y300-0100". All the rest info of your phone is the same, i.e. IMEI, SERIAL NUMBER.
I hope it could help you
Very thanks!!!

Can you boot to fastboot mode and is your stock firmware available for download? Ice seen many ZTE devices that have fastboot removed by their carrier network, ifvuours is one of these devices, you might not be able to fix it yourself. You may need to have a professional shop repair it.

You can still enter download mode with hardware key combo and flash stock ROM via pc. Search for the key combination for your device usually it's power+both volume keys when boot and holding volume keys for 15 seconds when plugged to pc. Btw I found an unbricking tutorial for you phone , you will lose your user data if you do it though. https://forum.xda-developers.com/general/help/totally-bricked-zte-blade-l3-solutions-t3462875

It depends on exactly which model number of ZTE Blade L3 , most devices have multiple variants with the same device name but different model numbers depending on the carrier/network/region/country. What works and what doesn't depends on the specific variant of that device. I know of a few different mobile carriers that remove fastboot and/or recovery from the ZTE devices they offer. Using fastboot or recovery to repair/modify those devices is not an option at all.

1st, u really should find the exact drivers. But also very important to remember booting your PC into Test Mode with Driver Signature Enforcement OFF - BEFORE installing the EDL 9008 Drivers for your device.
Besides, after you press and hold both Vol buttons, u should plug the device in IMMEDIATELY, not waiting for 40 seconds, since each time the device boots into EDL mode, if there's no connection is established in 5 seconds , the device will automatically out of EDL mode.
Hey, so after some time (I got a new phone by now) I managed to fix it, turns out that i had to instantly put in the cable, just like how LinhBT Said
