If the display and touch are working then all you need is the glass replaced.

Scratched Screen

Somehow my gorilla glass got a 1/2" scratch in the middle of the screen. Anyone know a way to buff it out?
Tear off the film on surface.
You sound surprised that it got scratched?!
It's not scratch proof!

Thanks, smartaxes...
Gorilla glass is supposed to be scratch proof. So, I imagine it would take more than your standard glad repair kit.
Also, didn't think gorilla glass could be peeled off...
Anyone with useful info?

Samsung put a film on top of Gorilla glass to prevent finger prints and improve touch comfortness.
Resistant, not proof!
Big difference. It's just harder than regular cell phone glass and nothing extraordinary like sapphire crystal or anything.

I bought a Nillkin glass screen protector from taobao. It is smooth and easy to stick on screen. But it is not very well in anti-fingerprints.
Wow
Sweet, I didn't even know glass screen protectors exist.
I've discovered that pressing down on the center of the screen on my LG G Pro 2 will create pressure distortions on the screen itself so I'll definitely be getting one of these.
gooddddddddddddddddd

i believe you need to get "matte" type, instead of "clear"
just search on ebay, many and cheap as USD2 for 3x
but with matte the brightness will be reduced

Screen protectors for moto x play [INDIA]

Hey guys....anyone found good tempered glass screen protector that fits into entire screen..?
I ordered one from flipkart but it didn't even covered my whole screen......any suggestions?

Looking for this for quite some time.
Have read several reviews that the tempered glass doesnt fit.
Will just have to wait till this phone gets a bit old and then manufacturers will make tempered glass for it.

very brave......what about scratches?
No scratches at all.
Been using it for the past 2 weeks without issue. Though as soon as I get a decent tempered glass I'll get it
Bought the Chevron Tempered Glass from Amazon. It covers the display but leaves the curved edges which is actually part of the design so that the tempered glass wont brea easily. The glass looks good, touch is as it was before applying the screen guard. Don't have any complaints.
So it covers whole screen.....?
And does it have a cut for front camera?

I've a tempered glass screen protector on my x play but it doesn't cover the whole screen. I doubt it can be covered due to curved edges of the screen.

Using Honor 6X without screen protector?

As we all know tempered glass screen protectors suck on 2.5D glass and the place where I live, I can't get a normal plastic screen protector just to prevent scratches.
So are there anyone of you Honor 6X users out there who use it without a screen protector? If yes, did you encounter any scratches?

It does't have any enhanced option for front glass (e.g. corning gorilla glass)
So it would be prone to scratch....

I already know that that's why this thread was made and that wasn't the question.
I've had mine for a couple months now with no screen protector. It's fine

You sure you don't even have the plastic one applied that some got out of the box?
Your question does not make sense since it depends on how you take care of your phone, whether you place keys and coins on the same pocket as your phone, or you lay it face down.

Yep, removed that when I tried a tempered glass screen protector. Didn't like it, so removed it and never replaced it with anything else.
Try the Trink impossible glass. Its not thick like a tempered glass and its flexible too. There are some videos that shows the durability of this glass. If you're not aware of it, then do check it out. They even have their own online shop. But again, it won't cover the entire screen.

Pre installed screen protector

Just a quick question I know the phone comes with a free case but doesn't it come fitted with a screen protector?

Depends, if you like rocking your phone without a screen protector then you can take it off, if you want to use a screen protector it's there, apparently it's a dust magnet tho (my t-mobile did not coke with one) so you can keep it on till you get a good enough replacement, or until a good glass screen protector comes out.

it's for daily use
I using such plastic screen protector on my OP3 for more than 2 1/2 years and it's like new, only very few scratches
But you have to be carefully when you are using a plastic or silicon case. At the edges the plastics foil may get unstick

Yes please do not remove it. Keep it on until we're able to figure out a good replacement screen protector for curved screens.

Ummmm might explain why I having problems with my screen , I put a glass screen protector over the stock plastic one as I don't know it was on there. Im having to apply heavy pressure to the screen to register a touch
my preinstalled screen protector developed air bubbles after 3 days so i had to ditch it however i did buy 6 months of screen protection in lieu of waiting on solid glass screen protectors to surface

Haha, also those glass plastic ones only stick on the side so even without the original film underneath, you'd still need to apply some pressure.

The OEM one does not create any touch issues for me
I've had my OP7P for about 2-3 months now and the stock screen protector is still holding up. I usually don't like screen protectors because it takes away from the feel of the screen but this one is actually really nice.

I agree! For a "plastic" film-type protector it really does feel very close to glass. I wish OnePlus would make them available for sale! They sell every other accessory why not the one that is better than most? :crying:
