Depends, if you like rocking your phone without a screen protector then you can take it off, if you want to use a screen protector it's there, apparently it's a dust magnet tho (my t-mobile did not coke with one) so you can keep it on till you get a good enough replacement, or until a good glass screen protector comes out.

it's for daily use
I using such plastic screen protector on my OP3 for more than 2 1/2 years and it's like new, only very few scratches
But you have to be carefully when you are using a plastic or silicon case. At the edges the plastics foil may get unstick

Yes please do not remove it. Keep it on until we're able to figure out a good replacement screen protector for curved screens.

Ummmm might explain why I having problems with my screen , I put a glass screen protector over the stock plastic one as I don't know it was on there. Im having to apply heavy pressure to the screen to register a touch
my preinstalled screen protector developed air bubbles after 3 days so i had to ditch it however i did buy 6 months of screen protection in lieu of waiting on solid glass screen protectors to surface

Haha, also those glass plastic ones only stick on the side so even without the original film underneath, you'd still need to apply some pressure.

The OEM one does not create any touch issues for me
I've had my OP7P for about 2-3 months now and the stock screen protector is still holding up. I usually don't like screen protectors because it takes away from the feel of the screen but this one is actually really nice.

I agree! For a "plastic" film-type protector it really does feel very close to glass. I wish OnePlus would make them available for sale! They sell every other accessory why not the one that is better than most? :crying:

Okay, I already ordered one of XGear's full body carbon skin protectors, but what irks me is the fact that it doesn't protect the touch screen portion of the front.... As you guys may know, screen protectors for any phone usually cover the entire front and not just the screen.. Ironic how I don't want that option eh...Anyways, does that mean that I'm going to have to apply it over my existing screen protector or will I have to manually cut my screen protector o only cover the touch screen portion..So sad...
I had one of this on my n5 and they are very precise and look great, as for the front skin you can place it on top of your current protector you just have to be very careful aplying it as if you have to reapply and remove it your screen protector may come with it. Dont forget the pictures

This :good:
I have my nexus 5 for about 3 months and i have very small scratch on my screen that only noticeable by light
sometimes when im outside and im with the phone its very annoying to see that scratch.
what can i do to remove it?
I would recommend to just put a screen protector on it that'll hide the scratch. I've bought the scratch remover and used it before on the screen and didn't have any luck getting rid of them. Spigen has an ultra crystal clear screen protector that feels nice and hides the light scratches.
Put a tempered glass
Buy a new screen costs 10$ and glue it on the lcd with loca glue

I've been using this case: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/SEA...er-Hard-Cover-Case-For-LeEco/32856125151.html
And unfortunately all of the very-good-fit screen protectors which stretch to the edge are interfering with it. They both try to cling to the edges of the screen, which causes the screen protector to be pushed upwards and get dislodged.
Can anybody recommend something that is a better fit to this case?

I have two x727s and use the exact same case on my primary daily phone, and I have a really thin one on the other phone.
For me this is absolutely the best case, plus it actually does a great job protecting the screen, with its lip.
I also tried a screen protector. But eventually grew tired of messing with it and took it off.
At this point, I haven't had a screen protector for about a year, and believe or not, my screen still looks like new, with no scratches at all, none!
Unless, there is too much risk with your daily usage, maybe consider not using one. With that case, you probably don't need a screen protector?

I've replaced the screen with a cheap one I found on AliExpress (suspected to be from a Cool S1) and I'm not sure if the replacement one has any sort of reinforced glass (like the Gorilla Glass 4 the LePro3 originally had) to protect it from scratches and shatters. That's why I need the screen protector.

Okay, I misunderstood. So you replaced the entire LCD screen?
I will let you know if I find a protective screen.

Yep. During cooking some oil got between the glass and the LCD, and it stained it. I had to replace the entire assembly.
Thanks for looking out for glass screen protectors - I've tried a few but they all weren't a good fit with a case.
Hi,
I just replaced the display and the battery. it came with a sreen protector but unfortunatly it doesn't stick on the borders.
I'm looking for a better quality one.
Guys is there anyway to make the screen more responsive to touch? It's the new screen protector that has caused the issue. But before I go back to a film I was just wanting to check. Thanks.

You must have bought tempered glass that glues only on the edges. Horrible! Look for amFilm tempered glass. It's amazing quality! I ordered another one just in case ?
Also, 9.5.8 OTA just got released with touch improvements. Getting a full contact protector in updating may help a lot.

I'm happy I ordered the unlocked direct from OP the preinstalled screen protector seems to be perfectly fine as far as responsiveness. Won't protect from falls truly but not will a glass one IMO

Get a whitestone dome screen protector. Its the best one for OP7 pro if you want tempered galss.

Is the protector in the center? It has to be 100% accurate, or you will have an unresponsive touchscreen.

Yes, I tried it with 4 different cases, all good.
So how many of you guys have removed it? I noticed the protector shades the screen colours a little. Also attracts dust more like static. I have just removed mine and the screen looks and feels so much better ?
Same
Yeh, it' works like dust collector
I haven't, but only because i'm waiting on new protective glass to be delivered.
As soon as it gets here i'm gonna take it off.
for me it took some time to find out that there was already on installed... i have applied a tempered glass and its perfect now.

does removing the protector remove the color shift? (Actually I am not sure if there's supposed to be but mine has it)
The stock screen protector is shocking. Scratches so easily. Couldn't wait to take it ogf
Personally, it does not bother me, but I will also change it upon arrival of the tempered glass sheet that I ordered on AliExpress along with the sheet for the camera and the case
What's the best way of removing the stock screen protector?
