i want to change an icon for an exe file. is there an easy way to do it?
thanks in advance...
Two ways:
One: you can just change the icon in the shortcut pointing to the exe. Search for ditails on the forum using google.
Two: get ResHacker and use that to change the actual icon.
thanks levenum, hope it works
Is there any tutorials out there specifically for the leo so we can all have a go at making clocks and sliders, cabs etc? there are some amazing work going on here and I would with some guidance like to have a go at giving something back.

ok so i've followed through the thread you posted and i have now got to the point where i have edited a few images and used cfc gui to put the .png images back into the manila files. Now i need some advice on how to create the cab so that it can be easily installed and uninstalled, i really don't want to just replace the manila files.

Just use QuickCab, it will do all the things you need to create these .cabs..

Tip for creating cabs:
If you already have HDWall installed (e.g. to make transparent taskbars and softkeybars), you can use the built-in 'create cab' function to create your cabs - this saves installing an extra piece of software...
On the subject of tutorials, I can tell you from experience that creating your own 'digital' clocks is a lot easier than creating your own sliders.
The easiest way to go about creating a new digital clock is:
1. Take somebody else's clock cab (I've attached one of mine to this post)
2. Unzip it (Winzip will do it) to get the original files
3. Re-name the 'working' files back to their original 'manila names' (if you look inside the _setup.xml file, you can see the both the manila filename and the working filename e.g.
<characteristic type="1435ccbf_manila" translation="install">
<characteristic type="Extract">
<parm name="Source" value="FILE0001.001" />
means the file named FILE0001.001 should be re-named to 1435ccbf_manila etc. (note: the xxxxxx.999 file is not needed here!)
4. Once you have extracted and re-named all the manila files, you can use CFC_GUI to extract the PNG images for my clock to use as a guideline to making your own
5. Make your own PNG images
6. Use CFC_GUI again to insert your new images into the manila files
Note: My cab consists of 8 manila files:
4 files for the 4 sections of the clock (2 up and 2 down)
1 background for the clock (see attached screenshot)
1 file each for AM and PM
1 file with the numerals
If anyone is interested in seeing some of the other 'Glass Clocks' I made, you can find them all in this thread:

Have fun and good luck!

nice job mate, keep it up, my advice is to take a cab from the site, slider, clock or what ever you want to customize, extract it with wince cab manager (the best cab management software, in my opinion) and manila editor and photoshop can do right about everything to a image the important thig if you take part of some one elses work or inspire to ask permision and mention that you have inspired from that persons work
sorry for the confusion. the green clock and slider is what I,ve done, the lead clock is by dr ammar-jaguaralani.
Ok so I've modified the image files from a slider cab, converted back to QTC's and overwritten them back into the unzipped cab file.
How do I make it all back into a cab?
Got Quickcab.......select all the files from the left window but where to select to put them in the right window?

Thanks for your reply mate.
I thought that was where they always went, but last night I made my cab but when I installed it, nothing changed, tried 2 or 3 times too??
Please take a look at the screenshot below, is that correct? From there just go to "Create cab" right? Or am i missing something?
Thanks again for answering.

Did you extract your manila files from another .cab? (If so, have you maybe done it via winzip or something similar?)
The files you copied don't have the correct names... (manila files are always named "xxxx_manila")
If you give me all the files, I could make the .cab for you.
Otherwise, just PM me and we'll discuss this further

You have PM mate.
Does anyone know the file structure of a SportsTap installation? I am trying to find the notification sound file so I can replace it but so far have been unsuccessful. Thanks!
Bump. Still trying to find this.
Anyone? Beuller....
Is there an easy way to get the sound files off my Honor 8? I got a new phone and kind of want to keep using the stupid notification sound and maybe a ringtone or two. Are they accessible via the file manager without root? Or can they be pulled out of a firmware download?
Thanks for any help!
Could someone upload a copy of the following folder? I am working on some VOLTE projects and would like the MBN files and cannot seem to find it anywhere. Thanks a bunch!
system\vendor\rfs\msm\mpss\readonly\vendor\mbn\mcfg_sw\
Here you go, this is extracted from the January vendor.img
Thanks man!
