I think you need to send it to Samsung for repair. That's clearly an hardware issue.

I am still underwarranty so will it be a repair or a replacement unit ?
That depends on where you bought it.
I know I can have a replacement with the shop I got it from. (Darty France btw).
But I remembee Samsung take it to repair and lend you a phone.

Hello,
I have samsung wave that stopped vibrating after about 7 months. The phone was fine otherwise. Still, since i picked a newer one i decided to bring it to a samsung certified repair shop here in germany and after a few weeks i got a letter saying the phone is not only damaged beyond repair but also completly dead. The cause stated was corrosion due to liquids. I take good care of my phones and never did the phone get anywhere near any liquid. But ok admitting thats true... some guy at the shop told me it was now completly dead because the corrosion had eaten its way through the rest of the circuits. They now want 20euros just to send me a broken phone back or they will "dispose" of it for me...
Im no expert and my hardware engineering classes are a while back, but this sounds pretty darn strange to me. Can anyone out there tell me how plausible this is or give me some advice?
Id be really grateful. Thanks,
Ludwig

Hi guys, my i9023 gets broken, it's doesn't turn on anymore, anyway, the screen is perfect. I got a idea some days ago to buy a new i9023 with a broken screen, so this becomes cheaper and I fix this by myself. So, where can i find somewhere in the internet selling that? I can from someone here too.

Check eBay. You can even call up the nearest Samsung service center for the cost of a replacement screen.

I'm checking everyday. I found one in a australian website, and it was for 50 DOLLARS! This solves my problem if the seller wants to negociate with me, because I'm from Brazil. Anyway, I'm pretty exciting for him reply. And I guess you didn't understand me... My phone is bricked my have the normal screen, I want to buy one with the cracked screen because is cheaper, soo I can fix it by myself.
I dropped my phone and shattered my screen this morning. After chatting with a Samsung representative about it, it turns out that they will repair the phone for $161 (including shipping both ways). Apparently this fee would cover any other damage that they find as well; they specifically mentioned things such as failure to charge and other physical problems. The number to call is 888-987-4357.
I just thought that this was a neat service, and significantly cheaper than Verizon's equipment insurance plan.
Plus, I'll include a nice little note to the repair team asking them politely about unlocking my bootloader.
lmao. since they just unlock BL on demand.. how much is an insurance claim?
Lol, more power to OP. If he gets it back unlocked I'll be thrilled.

Yeah, but there are a few problems with that.
- OEM parts are more expensive than the repair through Samsung
- If I screw it up, it's even more broken than before. Apparently there's some glue behind the screen that causes easy damage.
- A Samsung repair is covered by Samsung. An Ivan repair isn't covered by Samsung.
Ehhhh, I agree the Samsung repair is easier, but definitely not cheaper. Good luck
S5 screen
Hello guys.
My Verizon S5 G900V has a damaged motherboard, but I got to successfully separate the screen from the phone. I was wondering if I could install this screen on a Galaxy S5 SM-G900M. Do you think my Verizon GS5 screen would be compatible with SM-G900M motherboard ??
Thanks in advance.

My best guess would be that it'll work, but you won't be able to use it on Verizon, since it's a GSM board. Need a mobo from a Verizon phone.

Not if the glass is separate from the digitizer, like it was for the S3 and S4. If it is separate, new glass is like $6 on eBay and is pretty simple to replace if you buy the kit. Example.
Now, if the digitizer is broken too, yeah, you should send it off and pay $161.
Thanks!
I was actually just about to drop my phone off at the local fixit shop for a $289 replacement, this is perfect! I can confirm the $161.29 fee with free shipping included. I also looked at redoing the screen myself (I did a few iPhones) but the assembly goes for over $200.
Thanks for the info!
Hi all,
I've smashed the screen on my smartwatch 2 and would like to get it fixed rather than getting a new smartwatch. Has anyone replaced the screen before? If so do you have any advice? Where can you get replacement screens from?
Thanks.

I'm wondering this also, Have a crack going straight through the center horizontally. It doesnt affect anything, but I don't even know when it happened. Looked down and it was there. figure anything out? Thanks
I didn't sort this out sorry. I tried the official Sony channels (I'm in Australia), and they don't repair the screens, just replace the whole piece. Not surprisingly this would cost the same as simply buying a new one. So as far as I know, these can't be repaired. I'm more than happy to be corrected though.
This happen even to me. The watch fell down from my table besides the sofa.
One air jump in about 60 centimeters...There goes my watch!
I contacted Sony support and got advice to contact repair center.
After contacted repair center I got the answer...
They don't repair any Smart Watch, but they offer me a new watch for about 1500 to 1600:- Skr.
Which in fact is the same as throw the broken watch and directly buy a new one...?
So it's hard to recommend Sony Smartwatch to my friends.
I have just received my XZ dual and all seems to be OK apart from the not so great camera, which I expected.
I have just found that there is a light bleed coming from the phone body, in the bottom right corner, between the display panel and frame. Waterproofing test seems to be working. Also it always stops about half second later after I turn off the screen, which is a bit strange.
I am adding a picture...
Does anyone have similar issue?
No light bleed on mine. Think the camera is fine too.

That's not normal at all, you should get yours replaced asap, this phone is supposed to be completely sealed.

That's what I thought as well. I have never seen such issue on any of my smartphones before. The problem is, I live in Europe and bought mine from HK. Hope the seller will take it back...

If you brought the phone brand new you don't need to sent it back to seller. It has international warranty for 2 years. Sony will fix the issue or replace handset.

Thanks for your advice. The seller has actually contacted me with the return shipping details and I will be returning it to their UK hotspot.
I have decided to get a refund instead of a repair or replacement as I am not really sure I want this phone anymore, at least not now. It's a beauty, but I will wait once all the issues are fixed and then maybe get one.

The phone is great, I really can't find any real negative side of it, people talk **** about it because of the 3gb of ram, but if you want disappointment give a look to samsung or htc's forums
